One of my two favorite nurseries in the area (the other being Out in the Garden in Molalla). I love the selection — old favorites and unique hard-​to-​find varieties. Don’t come if you want to dash in, grab a plant, and leave… this is a place to browse and wander and enjoy the atmosphere as much as it is to buy plants. Even my young daughters, who generally barely tolerate their mother’s plant obsession, love to come here with me.

Collectors mecca, especially for perennials… also unusual shrubs and beautiful display gardens. If you can’t get there, they have mail order, but it’s a lot more fun to make the trip. These folks also do landscape design and installation. Open Tues thru Saturdays 10 – 5 and by appt in winter.

Portland, OR
We drove down from Portland on a nice May day and had a lovely time here. It’s on a beautiful huge lot south of Canby, with the plants spread out in 2 greenhouses and 5 – 6 other areas. They have an array of native and exotic specimens, and Bob, the guy who was working today was very helpful. It’ a slow pace kind of place, very reasonable prices (especially compared to Portland Nuresery). My young son enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and ducks and turkeys too! We bought a lot of perrenials and a few veg starts.
