The service was excellent. The burger was good… Not the best I ever had, but good. I upgraded for $ 4 to get a side salad with my burger, and man was it worth it. Gorgeous, with chickpeas, artichokes, carrot, cucumber, and cherry tomatoes. The wine and beer were both $ 7−8… A little overpriced. All in all, a solid and friendly option, but not a cheap meal.

Had a beer and a burger. Meat was more done than what people expect. Servings are large. So, maybe 4 for food taste but 5 stars for excellent service and beer!

We wanted a place to watch the NFL games instead of our hotel. This is the only place that opened at 10am(most places in Cannon Beach open at 11am). We got seats at the bar. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. Their salt and pepper wings and tots are well made. It’s a dive bar atmosphere but all the food coming out of the kitchen looked good. Slightly pricey but it’s a small town catering to tourists not too bad compared to other restaurant prices in town. This place doubles as the town hardware so customers randomly go up to the bar and pay for hardware supplies. There is outdoor seating in the summer time where dogs are allowed.

Awesome, if a little pricey. Good beer list, great food. Friendly service. Very kid friendly.

I am so glad that we discovered this gem! This is a unique little dive bar, with interesting drink specials, and delicious food made from scratch. We loved the Thai clam chowder and tomato basil soups, as well as the beer battered halibut. Somehow my fiancé got a veggie burger, which wasn’t what he’d ordered. Still good, but a small mistake. I look forward to returning!

I have to say I was amazed last night. For years when we would make our escape for a night, our routine was simple. Leave with no extra clothes, get the nicest suit with the hot tub in the room, fireplace and an epic view of the beach. Our must stop has been the Hardware store. Last night was not a good visit. Order pastrami from a recommendation, get told sorry we’re out:-/ Then the server recommends the pulled pork… so, I get the pulled pork. The most over bbq sauced, under seasoned meat I’ve ever had. And the Cajun tots, I think the top fell off the shaker… holy cow! So, tried to make good. Smashed some tots, tossed them on the pulled pork sandwich… no Bueno! Can’t wait for Pelican to open next door:-/

Came for drinks one night and the food looked so good coming out of the kitchen went back for dinner following night. Seated ourselves and was served instantly by a really pleasant member of staff. Great beer, really good bar food and lovely service. On the pricey side for the food but it’s an expensive touristy town. Would recommend the halibut burger — and the side salad(for $ 4 substitute) was hugeeee and basically like ordering an entrée salad! Solid 4⁄5

I kind of love this place. It’s so unexpected. When you walk in, it’s half hardware store, half pub/bar/restaurant with a cute outdoor(dog friendly!) patio. This was a random stop for us, but I’m glad we found it. The food was great — I got a halibuit sandwich that was super fresh. the plates were piled high with food though, nobody finished their entrees. I wasn’t a huge fan of the oyster shooters that I had and probably wouldn’t get those again. They had a decent small beer list and a few extra beers not on the menu. Our server was friendly and enthusiastic with a good sense of humor. We didn’t have a wait at all when we arrived, and it was lunchtime on a Friday. Fun little stop, I left with a new hoodie too!

Great pub food! Great service! Yes. It is a hardware store… and a really great restaurant and bar. We had dinner here one night during our stay in Cannon Beach. The food was excellent… featuring in-house smoked meats. My husband had the Pastrami and I had the BBQ Pork. Both were OUTSTANDING… balanced smoke flavors, wonderfully seasoned, and perfectly cooked. We each had the tots, and a salad featuring fabulous in-house blue cheese dressing. They have a great selection of micro brews and a full bar as well. Our server was awesome… she was friendly and attentive. Stop in for a rake and a hammer, and while your at it, grab a fabulous smoked sanny and a brew! You won’t regret it! I know we will be back.

Weirdest restaurant I’ve ever been to, but that’s not a negative remark. I like weird. And this weird, was good enough for me. We came here for food, but didn’t seem like many were here for the same. Almost everyone was enjoying a cocktail/beer & conversation. It was good people watching, for sure. We ordered today’s special: chili dog w/fries(we subbed the fries for Cajun tots) and the ahi salad which was described to us by our waiter-bartender as a sushi-grade cut of ahi, seared rare, over a bed of greens and sliced veggies. Chili dog was exactly as I expected. The Cajun tots were yum, but I don’t think there’s a way to ruin tots, especially when they’re sprinkled with Cajun spice. The ahi salad was disappointing. The ahi was not seared rare, it was medium, at best,

There’s no room for you here. You can’t wait in here. That’s how the general manager(or is it the owner?) greeted us when we arrived at the place. Lol. Is he drunk? He assumed we were with another party without even asking us even though we were clearly on our own, just the two of us, standing by the entrance. Lol He then tells us a spot opened up, literally 10 seconds later, and shows us to a table in the back. So confused. Anywhoo the food was pretty darn delicious. A little pricy, 20 bucks for fish and chips?, but big portions and tasty. We ordered 12 wings(it costs the price of two orders of 6 wings if you ask for two sauces), prawns and chips(yum!), and the oyster shooters(not very well chilled but I really don’t care lol) Eek! If you sit outside, the water is self service, but the water is from a gardening hose… We saw the owner use the gardening hose to refill the water himself! My parents always told me not to drink water from the hose; lead, chemicals, etc. is that just me? And in the middle of our dining, the owner was hanging outside with his pals being really loud and obnoxious. He even yelled out F you really loudly thinking it was funny! What in the world lol The service is really slow but the servers seem really friendly. I don’t blame them, they seemed extremely understaffed. At the end of the meal, I think the food was worth putting up with the rude/crazy owner and the slow slow service. Hence the two stars.
