Thanks for the racism. This occurred on January 5, 2016 in the evening. If I could give this girl negative stars I would for making my family feel the way she did. I walked in and the sales rep being white was helping two white people with joy and enthusiasm. My very middle eastern family and I walked in. We were THEONLY people in her store and she not only blatantly ignored us but when my dad tried to start a conversation about an item her response was«yeah» and she walked away. I said dad I think she wants us to leave. She looked up and turned off the music. I know she was closing soon but slamming things and speeding passed us was uncalled for. I will never shop their brand again. I don’t support racism.

I’m torn. All the reviews regarding the customer service are 100% true. As a personal stylist myself, I try to just go into a shop with no expectations of help. I work on commission myself, and I’ve worked with no commission before, and I totally understand the plight of a retail worker. I always hang up my clothes in the dressing room, smile and engage with any employee who talks to me, etc. The ladies in this particular location of Free People(I’ve been to others where they’re incredibly nice, engaging and helpful) are stony-faced, cold, and literally have IGNORED me when I’ve asked for an opinion on a dress or top. This is my favorite brand and I will keep shopping at this one cause it’s local to me, but hopefully someone from their store will take notice and help up the quality of service! All that being said, I’d like to be fair and say that I did have ONE very pleasant interaction with one of the store managers, who was able to order a top for me online that I wanted. Anyway, mostly, just SMILE more! It makes people feel welcome and you DO get paid enough to do that. It’s good for your health, too.

I’m honestly pretty surprised by the reviews about the customer service at this Free People. This is my local Free People, I also frequent the one on Ventura Blvd. The girls are always so nice and very helpful. If there is ever a time they don’t have a particular item I’m looking for they are more than happy to order the product for me, free of shipping and directly to my house. The store is always very clean and organized, even the sale section which at other stores can be a bit messy. I’m happy I live close to this location, they have a lot of clothing the other stores don’t carry. Overall, I would suggest my friends go to this Free People.

I am a frequent shopper at Free People, but I try to order everything online now and avoid going into this store at all costs. Their customer service is just horrible. It’s sad because I’ve been shopping there for years but the customer service at this location is pathetic. The manager is so stuck up, and the other associates are no help what so ever. Shop online if you can!

If you like to shop in a store where the girls act too cool for school to even acknowledge you or crack a ‘half way’ smile… shop here. It’s a joke.

I’ve been to a lot of free peoples and recently visited this one. LEARNCUSTOMERSERVICE stuck up employees We all know free people is super cool but for the employees to act better than everyone on the planet is UNACCEPTABLE!!! If you want to get sales don’t act like a bitch Or that you are to cool to help people Re staff your store free people there are many better people that would love to work here!

One of my favorite brands! I can’t say I love everything, but when something catches my eye I love it! It’s not cheap, but if you get it on a good sale day it’s totally a steal. I prefer weekdays because it’s not crowded at all. But then again the entire mall is crazy on the weekends. I also love the way they decorate all their stores. Gives me lots of ideas for my own place.

It’s such a disappointment that a great brand like Free People has their in-store experience tarnished by their sales team. It’s a rare day that you’re ever greeted by an associate, which I try to ignore, but I’ve felt even at times that I’m imposing on their time by having a question. I even called the store once and was asked to call back because they were«too busy.» Shop online if you can or visit Nordstrom. Both teams have great customer service.

I am torn; on one hand, I am a die-hard Free People fan and would where a plastic bag if they designed it. Although you can find Free People clothing at many retailers(boutiques, Macy’s, Nordstroms, etc), this store has unique items that the other retailers are not able to carry. However, the sales staff here is not friendly. They don’t like to talk to you or smile at you. Perhaps this is to add an air of exclusivity to the brand, but I doubt it. I thought hippies were supposed to be nice and loving??! To their credit though, one lady on the sales staff was very attentive(not friendly, just attentive) last time I visited. Every time I picked up a new item she immediately(within 30 secs) put in in my reserved fitting room. And while I was trying on clothes, she did check up on me 5 times. Bottom line: will I continue shopping here? Yes, because I am a complete slave to the fashion. But would I recommend it to people who are not absolute FP die-hards? Probably not, because if you are used to Nordstroms customer service, you will be quite disappointed.

The employees here are not friendly at all. No one greeted me or asked if I needed help, so I just walked out.

Never again, I had a terrible experience trying to return an item. I think their return policy is very restrictive, this company puts profits before people. They also have no sense of how important customer loyalty is. I won’t be back.
