This location is shared with Nestle Tollhouse. Employees work for both sides. I arrived here 30 mins before closing time. There was two employees visibly working on both sides. I ordered a mocha blended drink from the Nestle side. A female employee laughed and shrugged and said she didn’t know why the sign was still up since they haven’t had those in awhile. Okay? She then pointed at the Haagen side and recommended a frappé. There were(apparently) three flavors, but the sign and the way she asked made it seem like one flavor. I didn’t know what she was asking so just said to make whatever flavor. A small is $ 6.25. Pricey. She asked the other employee if he could make it since she had customers on the Nestle side. She had to ask him three times because he kept ignoring her. He finally sarcastically said, «anything for you!» Dick, do your job. The drink took like 7 minutes to make and tasted pretty terrible.

This particular location is extremely stingy and cheap with their portions. The employee that was serving me kept weighing the ice cream every few seconds and then continued to add and weigh. Apparently to make sure he is not too generous, because that would be a tragedy. I have never been to a Häagen-Dazs that actually weighs their ice cream. He handed me the ice cream and it didn’t even reach the top of the cup. I asked him if he’s willing to add more please, he said no. He also made a dumb joke about how he «gets to eat all the free ice cream that he wants to eat,» but apparently, when it comes to a paying customer, the ice cream must be weighed… I was at the Häagen-Dazs in La Jolla, San Diego a few days prior to this experience, and the difference between the two locations was extreme. Very different grades of service and generosity. So overall, the worst Häagen-Dazs I’ve ever been to.

Ice cream is so creamy and delicious! Had the cookie dough– the chunks of cookie dough were big and blew my mind. Also had the tiramisu gelato which was also good but not as creamy, so I’ll probably try a different flavor next time. It’s pretty expensive though… almost $ 6 for one scoop in a waffle cone.

Haagen Dazs has held its prominent name by the glorious confections they offer. While many consumers choose not to purchase anything from HD because of their high caloric contents, I am ok with the once-in-a-while indulgence of their products. These products I speak of are truly very creamy, tasty, and most of all unhealthy – but when is ice cream supposed to be healthy anyway? I’m sure the brand needs no reviews to lure in visitors but this specific location was neglected by Unilocalers! Conveniently located between Target and Macy’s, stop by to enjoy an expensive, but well worth its cost, ice cream, shake, malt, or whatever your taste buds desire. Of course, you may not fit into that dress in the fitting room.
