PC Tech Pro

My monitor on my PC went blank. I called David, the owner of the company to see if he could come to my home to check it out. Before setting up an appointment, he made a suggestion on how I could check the screen (no charge). I tried it, but the screen still didn’t work, so I called him to my home. He came out right on time the morning after I called him. He spent about 45 minutes at my home taking the tower apart and checking out the parts. (He had determined that the monitor was fine). He said that most likely, the graphics card had failed, but there was a small chance, that if that was not the problem that the mother board had failed. I’m pretty handy on repairs, so he explained to me how to install a new graphics card. He also told me what sort of hard drive and processor I should get if I decided to buy a new computer. I believe he charges either $ 125 or $ 135 (My memory fails me!) for the first 90 minutes of a house call. I got out my checkbook to write him a check. He told me he would not charge me because he didn’t fix anything! I told him that was ridiculous. He said he would not take any money. I then had two $ 20’s on my desk which I handed him. He tossed one back on my desk and said that $ 20 was enough. I demanded that he take the other $ 20, which he finally did. Talk about an honest person! Since my computer was 7 or 8 years old, I decided to buy a new one.

OMGosh! I’m loving my upgrade on my computer David. Although I won’t remember everything you showed me. It’s a good thing your prices are reasonable, so I can call you and have you come back, and go over everything I forgot. Thank you, PC Tech Pro. David you ROCK!

I had a big problem with a virus that had encrypted my files and there were no way to fix it, but at least David was able to retrive some of them. Like he said «don’t forget to backup your information in proper way»
