Gateway Liquors

When we pulled into Gateway Liquors I joked with my husband that I was sure they’d have a great selection of wine because it looked like an average corner store. But, the joke was on me friends. Not only did they have a back room dedicated to wine they also had the marvelous wine-​cooling machine. A true modern wonder this thing can take a bottle of wine from room temperature to cold in 3 minutes. And while the wine selection wasn’t what I’d call overwhelming it was way better than my expectations suggested.
They also carry an interesting selection of Colorado beer, some from breweries south and west, as well as interesting liquors also made in Colorado. It’s always nice to see small stores that support our state’s producers and for that alone I’d give them the four stars.
If you find yourself in Canon and in need of some booze this isn’t a bad place to make your purchases.
