Great family atmosphere. Food is really good and can you say horchata? The waiters were wonderful and very attentive. Price wasn’t too expensive either for quality of food. I’ll coming back

This place was clean, the food was good, fresh, and timely, and the staff were courteous and prompt. What more could you ask for? I had the Nachos Picadillos. They were yummy!

Lots of choices food was of good quality, prices reasonable, friendly service. Salsa and chips were good.

Chili rellano isn’t typical of most you would find in other Mexican restaurants.
I agree with another rater, they need a roller sweeper, carpet was littered with «stuff» from the customers that came before.

I would actually give this place a 4.7. It is much better than the other Mexican places. Plus they know how to drain the meat so it’s not overly greasy. First walking in, it’s a small place. I could swear there’s more parking spaces than seats inside. Anyways, we were immediately greeted and were seated promptly. One thing I noticed was the floor was still a mess from probably the lunch crowd and I wish they had at least tried to vacuum/​sweep. It would have made it more presentable. But that wasn’t a huge downfall.
When we sat we were given chips and salsa, and once again this place was on top of it by the chips that were not salty at all. Tasted fresh and the salsa was more than great. I’m picky when it comes to salsa, hate chunky salsa, and this was a perfect smooth combination of tomatoes, cilantro, and onions that you could actually see and taste. Well done on this! I ordered the #23 which for me was a beef chimi and a beef enchilada. My husband ordered the chili Colorado. Both came out in huge platters. Everything looked fresh. One thing I’ll remember for next time is no guacamole or tomatoes on the chimi. But overall more than enough to feed a person. The entire plate was filled with rice that didn’t taste canned, even if it was, don’t tell me and let me enjoy the rice. The refried beans also tasted fresh and definitely was not canned. My husband’s chili came with 3 tortillas that were fresh and the carne asada that was the chili were good sized cubes. Great seasoning, not over done nor under seasoned. This is not getting a con because well they don’t deserve one. Price was under $ 35 with tip.
Recommend? HIGHLY. Would rather eat here than than any other Mexican Restaurant in town. The place I’m sure a lot of people drive by it because it is in a strip mall where most of the stores are closed or empty spaces come abound. It’s across from Chili’s, but come here instead as you can get an American hamburger. But their specialty is Mexican.

In Canon city funding a quick place for luck isn’t always easy, however every time I’m in town and come here for lunch its super fast, clean flavors and great food. The burrito option was salad or rice and beans. Love that I can have a great Mexican food place in town that’s not greasy, over cooked or with tons of cheese. Look forward to enjoying a nice meal, friendly service and speedy service next time I’m in town.

Usually, this is my go to place to eat when I want to go eat with friends on my lunch break. I have been there 3 times in the last two months. The quality of food is still good, but the service has slowed down dramatically (based on all 3 of my previous visits). Up until this point, food would be delivered before we were even half way through our first bowl of chips. 3 full bowls later and I am getting a to go box to eat my lunch at my desk at work :-(Like I said, food is still good, but its not worth the wait to me. Hope they figure out the problem so I can return!

Solid Mexican food and reasonable prices. I find myself eating here a good portion of the time I am in Canyon City. I have had the Fajitas a couple times and the Mucho Macho Burrito. Never once have I left hungry and most of the time feel like I need a nap afterwards. The Fajitas have very nice flavor and the Burrito comes smothered in sauce.
The service is always terrific, my soda never goes dry, and the salsa and chips keep coming. I have been in the kitchen and it is nice and clean, the restrooms are the same. I’ll be back in town next week!

This is a good Authentic Mexican Restaurant. I got the Macho burrito with chicken and It tops my list! The Staff was friendly, prompt, and attentive… Which is very refreshing.
I enjoyed the food I ordered a burrito to go, so I had a meal for the hotel.
I would recommend this to anyone, visitors or residence.

Very clean restaurant. The staff was very friendly and service was prompt. The food was ok. We ordered the fajita burrito and chicken quesadillas. The chicken had good flavoring. The salsa had a kick, but was more of a sauce. They did not have a queso or cheese sauce like most Mexican restaurants. That was disappointing. We selected this restaurant due to the reviews on Unilocal.We have been to better Mexican restaurants.

Best Mexican in Canon City, hands down! My husband and I were both surprised how delicious our dishes were and they have great margaritas! Lots of different flavors! We’ve tried all the other Mexican restaurants in town and Toreros is by far our favorite!

Ok, so service wasn’t good… after almost 10minutes we got greeted by the server that was ready to take our order. Since the greeter had given us water the server didn’t bother to offer additional beverages. We did get additional beverages and a margarita too. The food was delivered promptly and correctly… and bland. Definately not very good!!! My 6 year old loves rice and usually eats all of mine, he only had one bite. My husband was offered a refill of his Pepsi 3x before it came. The restaurant was not busy! They did clear our plates quickly and bring our check in a timely manner.

Good food, good service, good value. The only thing I didn’t love is that they charged for the lime I asked for to put in my water.
