My wife just had a horrifying experience. When she went to pick up our dog, they didn’t realize she had walked into pick him up. In the 5 minutes my wife waited for someone to help her, she witnessed the groomer yell at him multiple times, calling him names and saying he has made her late for being such a di*k and as*hole, slapped/hit him, and tugged aggressively a few times. When the groomer brought our dog out, she was as sweet as pie. My wife quickly paid and snarkily apologized for our dog being so difficult. Once my wife was handed our dog, she told the groomer that she saw her yell at him. The groomer said«that’s only because I got cut,» and my wife said, «I saw you hit him and we won’t be back.» My wife was so upset, that she just left, shaking. Our groomer seems so sweet every time we take our dogs there. What’s even more upsetting is our dog is the least aggressive cockapoo you’d ever meet, is over 12 years old, and is pretty much blind and deaf. I can’t imagine anything he would have done to elicit such a response. It’s terrifying to know how people treat ‘yours’ when you aren’t around. Please be careful — he cannot be the only dog she’s treated this way.
