Afterglow Day Spa

I got a facial and massage from afterglow. The facial was my first and I will DEFINITELY be going back! Stacie was amazing. The massage was just ok. The spa was nice, and the staff are friendly, but I did notice there was a lot of ambient noise around and it was much louder than other spas I’ve been in. While I was getting my facial/​massage I could hear the garbage trucks and other cars outside the window and it sounded like they were moving furniture and a washer/​dryer were going. Still a great facial, just the atmosphere could have been more quiet/​relaxing.

Called this morning and talked to Karen and got an appointment. From the time I walked in I felt special and not just a number. And let me say, Adam, did an awesome job working out all my knots and relieved my tension. I will definitely be going back. A++++

WILL NOT BE RETURNING!
For almost 2 years I have been a loyal customer. I enjoyed massages, had regular eyelash tint appointments, gave gift certificates to family, and always spoke highly of this spa.
Even after moving from Canton to Cumming last year I continued to use Afterglow Spa to get my eyelashes tinted. Even though it now takes me 55 minutes to get there, Stacy and Teffany were great and always did a good job and I felt they were worth the drive.
I have always received confirmation calls the day before my appointments. Some I have been able to answer and confirm, while others went to voicemail and I wasn’t able to speak with anyone.
On Tuesday, March 3^rd at 11:43am I received a voicemail (the young woman did not leave a name) confirming my appointment.
On Wednesday morning I drove the hour to Afterglow to find that my appointment had been CANCELLED!
I drove an hour completely out of my way for absolutely nothing!
I had prior engagements for the rest of the day and was not able to rearrange my schedule to come in at a later time.
I have NEVER had an appointment cancelled on me because I didn’t return a call to confirm it. That is simply ridiculous!
The receptionist that was there Wednesday morning was apologetic and kind. But I did let her know I would not be returning.
The employee who cancelled my appointment needs to understand that it is extremely poor customer service to just cancel someones appointment with no notification!

I treated myself to a facial and massage for my birthday. I’d been here before; always a good experience. Susan, my massage therapist was good. Dorlisa, the esthetician gave me my BEST FACIAL E-​V-​E-​R!!! Seriously, it gets no better. Ya know how during a facial the esthetician gunks you up and leaves it to set in? Not Dorlisa! She uses that time to massage your arms, hands, feet (FEET!), décolleté, and behind your neck. She never leaves the room. I’ll be seeing her again and often. The spa would get 5 stars except that when you come out with «massage hair» and want to shower, there is no hair dryer, so bring a hat.

My husband and kids gave me a Mom’s Day Out Gift Certificate for mother’s day a couple of weeks ago… AMAZING! The swedish massage was fabulous, the facial (which I’d never had done) was unbelievable and my pedicure was spectacular. Being new to the Canton area, this will definitely be the place where I go for pampering! Thanks, Maureen for hiring a great staff and creating an environment where anyone can rest, relax and breathe a little easier! You’ll be seeing me again!
