Hampton Inn

Clean, room was a little musty but aren’t they all. Staff was very pleasant! Breakfast was standard but the women running that show was all over it! Probably won’t ever be in the area again but if we were we’d stay again.

Landed here after an 11 hour drive from Orlando because it only costs 10,000 Hilton honors points for a night. Way more comfortable than I expected. These beds and pillows are more comfortable than hotels that cost $ 250+ night!
Free parking, breakfast and wifi. Great value.

Hotel is showing age and is in a line of old hotels competing with two new ones. There are more rooms than the traffic supports, so deferred maintenance is a problem at these hotels — including this one. Room was comfortable, well-​appointed, and everything worked fine. Good TV channel selection. Complimentry breakfast was only so-​so — fruit and coffee were the best part of the deal.

When I travel in the Southeastern US, I prefer to stay in Hilton hotels. I stayed in this Hampton Inn two years ago and it was great. I was not as pleased with my stay this time around.
Staff was very friendly and accommodating. I was placed on the third floor along with the other three I was traveling with. Once I stepped out of the elevator, I was greeted with hot humid air. Either the hallway air conditioner was broken or they did not have it turned on. It was very unpleasant. Luckily my room had the air conditioning turned on and was fine temperature wise. The floors were very ‘soggy’ due to the humidity in the room. The tile in the bathroom was sticky again due to the humidity. The sink in the bathroom would spray all over when washing my hands and made the countertop soaking wet.
The bed, tv and Internet were fine. They also have ceiling fans in all the rooms but in my opinion they did not do much because it was so hot and humid outside. One of my coworkers used the exercise facilities and said the air conditioning was not turned on in there either so it was extremely hot.
Next time I’m in Canton, I might try a different hotel.
