They have gone downhill since new owners. Spring rolls were not full of goodies and were greasy. Did not send sweet and sour sauce with Sweet and Sour Shrimp. Not as many vegetables in the Beef and Broccoli. Very disappointing.

Chicken was over cooked and chewy also in the past I felt like the portion size was good very small this time. They deliver and it was fast that was good

I’ve only known about Mui Lan for a few months, but every dish I’ve tried has been delicious. I recommend the lemon chicken or Singapore Mei Fun if you’re really looking to cure a craving. They make the egg rolls and crab rangoons in-house and you can really taste the extra effort. Has a nice, quiet atmosphere most nights, but if you’re lucky enough to stop by when the owners have their two adorable children around, you’ll have a smile stuck on your face the entire meal. Oh, and try the fried bananas as a dessert! Simple, but tasty. Overall it’s a great place for a family dinner or a quick lunch.

So, at first glance I saw a bilingual menu, and in my haste to assume the best I had hoped it was a legit Chinese/English menu, which means that the restaurant cares at least a little about keeping an authentic experience. Sadly, when I sat down and was handed a menu I found that it was bilingual, but English and Spanish. It is a sit-down restaurant, which is to its benefit, but the«Sichuan pork» I ordered was neither Sichuan style nor real pork, it was that weird meat product with red stuff on the outside. Just an FYI for those who don’t know what pork normally means in Chinese food, it’s either minced or it’s cubed with skin and fat attached. I know, may not sound appealing to you, but the artificial stuff with the red outside is just… not good. The service was not very fast, especially considering I was one of two diners, and it was almost a hit and run serving in which the waiter was already backing up after asking what I wanted. Last, but not least, the Coke came in a can, so no free refills. Overall, I should have let the nonsensical pinyin«mui» tip me off that this wasn’t worth my time. The Japanese place(owned by Koreans, which is a plus for me) a few doors down was way better.

One of my favourites when visiting my parents. I always dream of the egg rolls in Canada(where I live). The garlic chicken has nice flavour. Mongolian beef was ok but I enjoy other places a bit more.

I was really expecting it to be amazing for the amount money they charge. But once again I was disappointed on both the delivery process and the quality of the food. The flavor was there but the amount of vegetables added to the chicken teriyaki was way out of proportion. And the worst part –send me chicken Hunan when I had order shrimp– will think twice before going back

I have been going to this restaurant for over 10 years now. Having grown up eating chinese from an early age I enjoy a place that pays attention to detail and Mui Lan always has. Their Mongolian Beef and Sweet and Sour dishes are real standouts. Soups are done well and their shrimp dishes are generally excellent. The same family owned the place from opening until just recently, but the recipes stayed so the food is still outstanding. I hope the service will continue. One other reviewer gave a scathing review on a take out order, specifically coming down on the Moo Goo Gai Pan. The only problem is… this is a favorite dish of mine… but Mui Lan has never in 10 years served it. That being said I can’t imagine how she got a bad order of something they have never served… Overall the place is well worth trying.

This was our 2nd visit to this restaurant. I grew up eating Chinese food several times a week and I’ve been cooking homemade Chinese food for over 20 years. I’m obsessed with Chinese food. This restaurant feels fairly new. It is well maintained, well lit and clean. Service was prompt and friendly. Wait times for food were normal. We ordered 5 dishes tonight: 1. Moo Shu Pork: They pre-rolled the Moo Shu. The pancakes were very dry. moo Shu was good but not great. I asked for spicy, and stressed that I like it spicy, and it was not. The portion size was nothing to write home about. 2. Singapore Mei Fun(rice noodles). This is a curry dish with shrimp, chicken and pork. The flavor was very good but the dish was slightly dry. Portion size was good was not big. Slightly spicy… Although they said it would be spicy. I’d say medium at best. 3. Mongolian Beef: We asked to make this very spicy(we like spicy). The food was NOT spicy at all. Dish tasted sweet. Ok portion size. I would not order again. 4. Combination Lo Mein: Good tasting dish. The sauce was just right. Only 2 small shrimp in entire dish. Skimpy on meat, too. Portion size was disappointing. 5. Combination Fried Rice: Great tasting dish. Again, skimpy on shrimp… Although better on the meat. Portion size was normal.

I wanted to love this place because it is very convenient to my house but to no avail. The customer service and the ambiancewas fine but the real problem is with the food. Bland bland bland and very oily as well. When I order something extra spicy I expect some sort of heat or burn. Nada nothing zilch zero. It is also an enormous pet peeve of mine when you add other veggies and ingredients into my dish when it isn’t listed in the menu the same way. I won’t be back. It’s a shame to because I crave Chinese food at least twice a week.

The absolute worst chinese food or any food I have ever tried to eat. It was disgusting. We ordered carry-out — the seafood specialty(lobster, shrimp and scallops with vegs), Moo Goo Gai Pan, Won Ton soup, and spring rolls for $ 42.00. We threw all of it out it was so bad. We called the restaurant and the girl said we could come in for another meal. Now why would we do that and suffer thru another awful meal. Everything was totally overcooked as if it had been on a steam table for days. The vegs were soggy and limp and the seafood had no taste whatsoever. The Moo Goo Gai Pan was also overcooked and soggy, the won ton soup was awful and the won tons were overcooked and no longer closed but loose pieces of won ton in the broth. Our money should have been refunded. Threw out the carry out menu along with the food. Do not waste your money.

100% best Chinese food around Canton! The only Complaint is that they sometimes mess up my order a little.(like forgetting I order my rice with no egg). Overall, delicious!

My grandfather and I were impressed by this restaurant we found on a whim on a road trip. We were going to order takeout but were impressed by the cleanliness and décor of the restaurant, so we decided to dine in. I ordered the vegetable fried rice lunch special which was delicious. I loved how the vegetables were all cut into small uniform pieces, even the snow peas. The portion was generous and the rice was not greasy at all. I didn’t even need soy sauce for extra flavor. The spring roll was tasty and I found myself wanting another one. My grandpa ordered the appetizer order of braised chicken wings. The waitress explained that the difference between the braised and fried chicken wings was the presence of brown sauce. Papa said the wings, sauce, and vegetables in it were delicious. However, they were too hot, temperature-wise. He also enjoyed the hot and sour soup, the crunchy noodles, and the caddy of hot mustard and sweet and sour sauce that were brought to our table. Our waitress wrapped up our leftovers for us, and we were on our way. Even the bathrooms were clean and tastefully decorated. A pleasant surprise and a great overall experience.

You ever get an out-of-nowhere craving for Chinese food? Well, the other day I got an out-of-nowhere craving for Mongolian Beef. Which is weird, because Mongolian Beef has an obvious ingredient in it which collides headlong with one of my allergies. Still, I had a craving. My Mongolian Beef was good. Exactly what I was craving – nothing more, nothing less. Mui Lan totally hit the spot. In many ways, this is your standard, strip-mall Chinese food offering. And this is a good thing: Staff was very quick and friendly. Food arrived at our table quickly and was very tasty. I’ll happily go back to satisfy any other weird Chinese-food cravings I may have in the future.

Excellent food and very nice people. Their website provides full on-line ordering and everything was done as ordered. It’s not San Francisco but it is great for this area.
