For the Canton area, this is the only place that I’ve come across that resembled anything remotely close to a «complete» Asian store. The place is pretty small, maybe 18′ x 20′, but it’s packed with snacks, packaged foods, spices, condiments, and some miscellaneous frozen foods including mochi and green tea ice cream. Produce selection is limited, but enough to satiate someone with cravings of homecooked food: eggplants, ginger, taro, yams, bittermelon, etc. There was a small but decent selection of small and medium grain rice. In the refrigerators, they had bok-choy, bean sprouts, yu-choy, mint, and kim-chee(both made in-house and major production). The house kim-chee is very good and it has both napa cabbage and radishes. There was also some frozen fish: mackerals, tilapia(?), etc, and if you need miso paste here, they have several selections here. As for the condiments they have a wide variety as well: banana sauce, fish sauce, siracha, hoisin, oysters sauce, Korean bbq marinades, etc. Check out the place for ethnic food needs. FYI: Store is closed Sun. and Mon. There’s a 4% surcharge on credit cards so bring cash. Parking is limited, but the shopping strip is not busy. Check the expiration date on the packaged foods — nothing I got was expired, but some were about 1 or 2 months from the date.

My mom has been going to this place for years to fulfill her K-drama and Korean food needs! Nice people, small store, but fairly good selection of foods you’re not going to find any where else in town. I think they still rent out K-dramas on VHS(not sure if they moved onto DVD yet).. . and you kind of have to know what you’re looking for(you can’t really browse and the titles are all in Korean). They have a small selection of Korean magazines too. As a kid I always went for the mochi and red bean popsicles! mmm…
