After reading the reviews I was kind of bummed that we chose this hotel. Usually the reviews on Unilocal are accurate… Well not this time. I am not sure what everyone expects from a hotel but this one has/had it all. The front desk was very helpul, the room i had rented was one bed one sofa sleeper and they had no problem upgrading to two queens. The room was very clean and cool. You could barely hear the AC when it turned on. The bathroom while small was perfectly fine for its use. The pool was a pool and was maintained and very clean. The hot tub was cold when I got there, I mentioned it to the front desk and with in the hour it was working. The pool had some games(some of which were out of order and not marked and I lost a few dollars) and the kids liked that. The hotel was quiet for sleeping and the free breakfast was spot on. They started breaking down about 20 – 30 minutes early and my kids missed put on the waffles but pther than that it was exactly what was needed. Overall great stay.

We were visiting family this past weekend and booked the Ramada Hall of Fame through Hotwire and got a great deal. As long as you set expectations this is not the Ritz, you will be fine. It was safe, there was a bed, shower, bathroom, tv. We are set. We only stayed there for 2 nights, but I wouldn’t book it for a vacation. Check in: We got in very late and the man checking us in wasn’t super friendly. They have you sign a sheet when you get in with all of these rules/regulations, like not everyone is here for a party, please be cognizant of that, loud noise won’t be tolerated, etc. We’ve never had to sign anything like that, so that was interesting and made me a little nervous. Room: The room was a little musty when we walked in, but it was big. There was a couch, little table with chairs, kitchenette with sink and tiny microwave and behind a wall was the double bed. There was also a flat screen tv(nice touch). The bathroom is small like another poster said, but it’s perfectly fine. The tub had some rust stains, but bathroom was clean overall. The bathroom sink is outside of the bathroom. There is a long mirror hanging on the bathroom door, so that was nice as well — don’t always see that in hotels. Everything was just fine — nothing was broken in our room and everything worked. Hotel: The exercise room is tiny — 4 machines if I remember correctly, but only one treadmill, so we both could not run at the same time. There is a pool and hot tub, but we did not go. There is a mini mart near the front desk with soft drinks(there were some alcohol minis as well), snacks, and toiletries. I purchased 2 waters, I think they were $ 1.50 each? Not too bad. You pay at the front desk. There is also free breakfast, it was fine, nothing to write home about, but free breakfast is always a nice touch. They had individual cereals, milk, coffee, juice, sausage, eggs, etc. They also had free Wi-Fi(again, nice touch!). There was some noise in the morning — seems the person above me just liked to pace back and forth at 9am, but it wasn’t really bothersome. The carts and housekeeping staff are also kind of loud in the morning, but 9am was when it started, so that’s not too early. Another bonus — front desk sells Hall of Fame admission tickets for $ 2 off list price, $ 20 each. There is also a coupon in the Stark County guide(when you first walk in, there is a rack of magazines/brochures) for $ 4 off one ticket, so if you have more than 2 people, buy from the front desk. However, HOF also offers discounts for children and seniors. Check Out: Easy, the man working the front desk was nice and pleasant. Overall, it was fine, it does need a bit of a face-lift, but as long as you set expectations, you’ll be ok. We may return if there’s another great deal like the one we found.

Web site pictures are misleading. Our room was dirty, carpet nasty, tub did not drain, smoke alarm hanging by wires from the ceiling, no alarm clock, sparsley finished(couch but no end tables of coffee table) and door latch did not fit the door. When I first walked in to check in the lobby was clean and nice but that is where it ended. The check in clerk was ok. The check out guy was as rude as they come. He pretended to be some tough guy with an attitude when in fact he was an over weight chump that was miserable. Stay away from this hotel unless you can talk them into a $ 29 rate and can put up with the rest.

Shoddy fixtures abound at the Ramada. When we arrived the closet door fell off its track so we requested a new room… where the closet door was also broken. There is a hole in the wall by the door where the doorstop was wrecked, loose tiles on the bathroom floor, and a fist sized dent in the bathroom door. Perhaps the Incredible Hulk was a recent guest? Perhaps the agreement one is made to sign at check-in about not having loud parties or disrupting other guests should have warned me. Speaking of the bathroom, its like the sort of thing one might put on a ship or in a studio apartment. When you turn around, your shoulders brush the wall and the shower curtain at the same time. The kitchenette consists of a micro sized microwave, a mini fridge, and a sink. No utensils, no dishes, no towels or means to clean up, no way to cook. Request for repairs went unanswered indefinitely as well; broken closet door number two was still broken twelve hours later. The last straw was discovering that a college soccer team was booked in the rooms above us. Apparently they needed to have a game at 11 that night. necessitating yet another call to the front desk. While the staff was friendly and offered us the chance to switch rooms for a third time, we could not imagine staying another night and so cancelled our multiple-night stay and went to look for greener(and better quality) pastures. In the plus side, it is cheap. On the down side, it really shows.
