We just recently moved into the neighborhood and this restaurant is super convenient. Everything I’ve had here had been great(chimichanga, tacos, nachos, chorizo, and margaritas). But the best thing I’ve had here is their seafood soup(Sopa de Mariscos). It’s absolutely delicious! It’s a spicy seafood soup that would be perfect on a brisk to cold winter day… THISSOUPMAKESMEWISHFORWINTERWEATHER! The other bright spot for this restaurant is the service. On most occasions that we are here we are served by Elena. She’s fantastic and keeps the meal interesting with good conversation. I’m so glad this restaurant is in my neighborhood.

Of the five or six Mexican restaurants along Hwy. 140 in Canton Tres Agaves is definitely the best in the area. They also operate a food truck and opened their restaurant recently. The place is a little small, but provide a warm atmosphere, and good, consistent standard Mexican fare.

They are doing a lot of things right at this restaurant. The service has been warm and friendly. The space is a little tight but they have a great closed in porch. The chips were fresh with just a hint of salt. YUM! I’m not a huge fan of their salsa just because I like mine spicy. The soups are AWESOME. Full of flavor and hearty. I highly recommend the spicy seafood soup. I really enjoyed my shrimp tacos with extra spicy sauce on the side the second time I went. The chunky guacamole was some of the best I’ve ever had. I was a little disappointed they charged me for soft tortillas I asked for with my guacamole instead of chips. Overall this place is VERY good. Highly recommended.

By far the best Mexican we have found in the area. Great margaritas,(and pretty strong) food was flavorful and plentiful. Service was great, no negatives.

Very nice addition to Cherokee County. The staff is friendly and the food is pretty darn good. The place is a bit small and confined but very nice. I had steak tacos and will return! Thanks!

This place rocks. Best Mexican food around. Try the skinny margarita you will think it’s full of calories but it is not. The spinach and cheese dip is new and exiting. The wait staff is always smiling and both Marcy and Eliana treat you like your family. The carne asada in other places I’ve been to is Cheney but not at tres agaves it’s tender and tasty. Defiantly going back again.

My first time, food was just OK, kind of plain. Service was very slow and everyone’s plates came out of the kitchen separately, what seemed like 10 minutes apart. Staff was courteous and attentive. I wish I could recommend this place, but don’t think I’ll be returning.

I gave this restaurant 2 stars because I think the food was pretty good. However, the service was just average and I would have preferred better communication from the server. I asked for some sour cream with my meal and the server said sure no problem. I get the bill at the end and I get charged 3 dollars for sour cream. I feel that is excessive and I wish I would have known that before I received my bill. I feel if your getting charged for something you should be made aware of it. I also feel the place is to small for families greater than 4.

If you are looking for great Mexican restaurant on this side of Woodstock(Hickory Flat), this is it! Fresh Guacamole and friendly staff. The enchiladas verde was the best on this side of town. The waiter’s recommendations did not disappoint us. We’ll definitely come back again!

I am dying to bump this review up, but I am reviewing up to this point. My family has gotten take out from here twice, and both times the orders were off, either leaving out food or requiring me to drive back to pick something up. On the bright side, the food is excellent. Not your run-of-the-mill everyday Mexican fare, authentic, delicious, and unique instead. We’re going to try dine in next, and if the food is as good as it has been and correct I will certainly bump this review up, because a restaurant is only as good as its food. But it is extremely frustrating the first few times you order for your order to not be correct.

We’ve been here many times since it’s opened. The service is top notch and the food is delicious. I recommend the street tacos.

Not your ordinary Mexican restaurant. The food is amazing, and the owners take great care and pride in the food and service. Try the Agave Chile Poblanos or the street tacos.
