Good was excellent. Moist, succulent chicken, great rice and beans. Salad was fresh and house dressing was good. Whole chicken and 3 sides, plus 4 drinks and dessert for $ 31. Healthy, fresh and delicious. The staff are friendly, helpful and invested in providing a great meal. Can’t go wrong here.

Delicious! First time dining here. I orders take-out half chicken with chicken fried rice and mixed veggies. I played it safe. Very tasty. I was introduced to this restaurant by a co worker. He has recommended I try the ultimate meal(I think this is the correct name) with shrimp. I look forward to visiting again with a healthy appetite. I choose 3 stars only because I’ve been once.

My husband and I visited Sardis for the first time today. We called ahead and placed our order, however when we got there, we just saw a long line. There was nothing(at least nothing I saw) that distinguished between people who were placing orders and those like us, who already ordered and just needed to pay. Aside from that, the food was great. We ordered the whole chicken special that comes with three large sides. We got the plantains, rice and beans, and the Peruvian corn. We did not enjoy the Peruvian corn at all, but the rest of the sides were on point. The chicken was very moist and flavorful. It is probably the best charbroiled chicken I have had that I did not make myself. With regards to condiments, skip the white sauce(it reminded me of ranch dressing) — it is all about the salsa verde. I really want to try other things on the menu, including the chicken cheesesteak, grilled chicken salad, gyros, and the lamb chops.

My favorite Peruvian chicken joint. For the family meals, you can substitute the 2 liter sodas or canned sodas for a large side.

I love the rotisserie chicken(a whole chicken and 2 sides feeds my 3 growing children). The portion size of the Cesar salad w/rotisserie chicken is a go to for me when I don’t have the kids with me. I’ve tried a couple other dishes and have never been disappointed. Staff is always helpful and friendly which in addition to the good food is why I continue my patronage.

Omg. I loveee this place. Don’t just get the chicken, fried rice and beans(although its so dang on good), explore the menu. I’m currently eating the El Greco salad with chicken, extra feta, and house dressing. OMG. Its ridiculously good! I chose white meat chicken although I prefer dark meat and it is so moist and well seasoned. Lots of fresh veggies, English cucumbers, plum tomatoes, kalamata olives, romaine lettuce, mmm. Oh and the house dressing, spicy, garlicky, and so savory, if they sold the bottle I’d be their best customer. Just go… you shouldn’t need anymore convincing! Goooo!

I opted for Sardis for dinner after I had Super Chicken(Tyson’s Corner) for lunch . The chicken was good sauce was OK my only complaint that called for 3 stars are the sides. The mixed veggies did not have any taste at all link it was just boiled in water. It was a little disappointing as my meal didn’t seem complete just eating chicken. I may return if I have a taste for the chicken and just make my own side of veggies. Also I had order half chicken and was almost charged for one extra sauce which didnt make since what I am going to do with one sauce and a half chicken(never had this issue at Super Chicken).

DC is full of Peruvian rotisserie chicken joints and this is one of the best! The rotisserie chicken, which is being roasted in front in two large wood fired grills, is juicy, well seasoned and delicious. Sides are tasty and huge portions. They include Peruvian fried rice(get it with pinto or black beans on top), fried plantains, and about 5 – 10 others(green beans, cole slaw, etc.). They also have all kinds of Peruvian specialties in addition to the chicken which I haven’t tried yet. For one person, a ¼ chicken with two sides is plenty. I ordered the half chicken today and it was just too much. I mean, I still ate it all but it was still too much. Cost is very reasonable too. Could feed a family of 5 for $ 30 bucks(2 whole chickens, 4 large sides and drinks). It does get very busy at lunch time so try to come on the early or late side or there will be a very long line starting at the front door.

The girlfriend insisted we goto this place. We can’t around 5pm so the place was getting packed quick. The rotisserie chicken kept coming out, must be a good sign. I got hungry and ordered the half chicken(white meat) with yuca, fried rice, and mixed veggies. The chicken had flavor but a little salty. Yuca was crunchy but not hot, mixed veggies went well with the fried rice. They also had beans and green beans as their sides but that was it. I think their sides are limited, green sauce was not spicy at all. Overall they are just OK, it would have been great if they offered more sides.

This place is always crowded for a reason: the chicken is superb! But so is the lamb… yum! If you’re a first timer, don’t let the menu scare you. Try the chicken, fried rice and black beans… that’s a safe bet. I love yellow/mild sauce with my chicken. Most often I get the ¼ chicken dark. The plus is when you buy a ¼ chicken, you get an extra lil piece(unless you have a cutter that’s being stingy). It’s pretty inconsistent. Portions are large. I’ve had the salmon, steak and cheese and chicken. All great products. Can get VERY crowded around lunch time and after work. I like this location more than college park and Laurel(I despise Laurel, actually). Horrible parking at all locations but this one is about the best. Saw there’s one in Gaithersburg too… great franchise opportunity

I stayed away from this place because it is a chicken joint, and I don’t eat chicken. SO loves this place, so I decided to give it a try. I ordered the bean and rice, salad, and string beans. My food was quite tasty. The line was almost out the door, and the place was pack on the inside. Although the lines were long, the cashiers and cooks kept the line moving. I am not sure if I would return, but if I am with a chicken eater, I would definitely go back for the beans and rice and string beans.

Like other reviews, the food at Sardi’s is fantastic. The long line that curls around the restaurant is a testament to how good the food is. I have been a few times and the food and service has always been consistent. With it’s great prices, Sardi’s Polla A La Brasa is always a good choice for dinner.

Sitting(as we speak), ACROSS from Sardi’s, in the Furniture Outlet parking lot because it is PACKED in their lot. My husband has been waiting in line since I dropped him off, made a run to Chick Fil A for the kiddos and came back. He said the line is getting longer faster than people are able to get their food to leave. One word for this place… DELICIOSO. Our faves are the chicken(of course) and fried rice. Sometimes the rice is a little on the salty side. But overall, this is our quick, go-to spot for a filling and hearty meal. Give them a try.

Yes, two times in a week I’ve eaten here. I was lucky enough to get chicken right as it came off the spit and it was tender, juicy and all of those sexy things Peruvian chicken is supposed to be. There’s always a bustling crowd and none of the servers ever have an attitude. I appreciate that. All of my items are hot and plentiful and I even noticed that they carry the Calypso drinks that I really like. Today I opted to dine in and I did notice how the employees were cleaning the tables immediately and keeping the place tidy. I saw 4 employees taking their break and eating their lunch together. I noticed one employee had made her own secret sauce to go on top of the chicken they were eating. I know it’s not polite to beg or stare so I only did one… stare…haha I wasn’t that bold to ask for a sample but they were treating it like Frank’s Red Hot(Putting that ish on everything!) They’ve got various locations, I suggest you find one and get to ordering some of that good food.

I do not understand. I have been passing this place by for years(YEARS!) as I made my way to and from the Home Depot nearby. Not once did the thought dawn on me to actually walk in and try their food. It saddens me to know that I could have been introduced to all of this goodness in 2011 had I only been a little more adventurous. The chicken here is just perfect! It is seasoned perfectly; it’s perfectly moist; it’s just perfect wrapped up in a Styrofoam box. You will order your portion of chicken and immediately after the first bite, regret that you did not order more. And the sides… I went for the plantains and can you guess what they were like? Perfect too!!! But be forewarned, the servings sizes(chicken and sides) are HUGE!!! A platter can easily consist of several servings, which can last you more than a day. On the bright side, a ½ chicken with 2 sides will only set you back $ 10(and it is worth every single penny!) This place is my new love, and now I’ll be ignoring Home Depot and turning all my attention to them.

I just have to echo what others have said at this point. The spices are great, the chicken is nice and juicy and the sides I got(green beans and plantains) were super tasty. The amount of food they give you is kind of obscene. The 2 sides I got with my ¼ white could easily be 2 – 4 servings each. Unreal. I only got the greenish hot sauce which was good. Service was fast and friendly enough. I found my go-to Peruvian place because I have to work about 15 minutes away from this place once a week. Woot! Sorry for eating before taking my pic: D

About a 2.5: Sardi’s has been around since ’80, with its original location in DC(now they have 7 locations(VA and mostly in MD)). The menu offers pollo a la brasa(charcoal-broiled chicken) in ¼, ½, and whole; other charbroiled specials(like souvlaki, carne asada, pollo parrillero, churrasco de pollo, etc.), and Peruvian entrees(lomo saltado, pollo saltado, anticucho corazon, salchipapas, etc.). The hubs and I came here to try out their Peurvian chicken; we recently went to their sister restaurant, Picca, and were so impressed with their chicken, that we decided to give Sardi’s a try. I’ve been to another Sardi’s, but had only their anticucho corazon skewers(chicken heart; which I was not a fan of). We shared a ½ chicken with 2 sides(doubled-up on the french fries); the chicken was definitely similar, if not the same as Picca’s. However, I thought it was less saltier, whereas the hubs thought it was more sodium-concentrated. In addition, I noticed that the chicken wasn’t really cooked all the way through, so I was a little put-off by that. It also seemed a little water-logged, as it was excreting tons of chicken juice, definitely sogging up the french fries. They don’t have the spiced-up aji sauce like at Picca’s, but they do have the original tangy one, the spicy green one(it’s a little bit watered down at this location, but still tasty), and mayonnaise. They come in little individual containers, and you can request as many as you want before paying. However, any extra sauce after you start eating will cost extra, so keep in mind of that and request as much as you can beforehand! There are some limited tables available(about 10-ish), but most people seem to do carry-outs. The parking lot is also a little tight, and keep in mind of the one-way entrances/exits. +charcoal-broiled chicken was a bit undercooked/extremely wet: O +spicy green sauce(a little watered down) and tangy original aji sauce are tasty +line can get backed up, so keep that in mind! +in the Home Depot plaza +tight parking lot

OK, the first step to recovery is admitting you have an addiction. Hi, my name is Adria and I’m a Sardiholic. They must sprinkle heroine into their house salad dressing, I can’t leave without purchasing some form of salad just to take the shame out of drinking that dressing by the mini cup full! We usually order white meat chicken, green beans, rice and pintos, and a side of plantains, it’s consistently awesome. But I’ve been craving gyros lately. So when I saw the lamb gyro on the menu, I gave it a try. The gyro comes overflowing with gyro meat in a pillow of pita wrapped in foil so it was still warm when I got it home. I started to top it with my salad then I noticed they tuck the feta, lettuce, tomato, and onion under the meat with some awesome sauce. I devoured the entire gyro and salad in one sitting! I need to give the Beltsville location a second chance since it’s closer to my new place. If you’re in the mood for charcoal chicken, I recommend you try Sardis it’s always fast and clean with consistently great food.

Omg so good! A friend recommended this to me and he was right on! It’s very no-frills, cheap, casual, rough part of town, etc. which is where a lot of the best food tends to be! It was very busy; took too long to get through the line, but everybody was hustlin — not sure what the hold up was. I got a ¼ dark meat chicken with yuca fries and black beans and rice. It wasn’t enough chicken but with the sides(which they load you up on) it’s more than enough food! Chicken was cooked perfectly. The green crack sauce they give you with it is perfect. I gotta find out what’s in it. The yellow sauce is creamier — it’s aight. Yuca fries were cut a little too thick. I poured the crack sauce all over my beans and rice too. Such a good, hearty meal!
