I love Lola Lovejoy’s cake. I got married over 2 years ago and in a fit of pregnancy food rage I pulled out the frozen remains of the top of my wedding cake(which was not ceremoniously eaten on our 1 year wedding anniversary) and ate some. It was still pure heaven. I don’t care THAT much for cake, generally. However, before my wedding I ate one of Lola’s cakes at another wedding. The butter cream frosting was amazing. The fluffy cake innards were the perfect texture and sweetness. I was in love. I checked out the website, which featured designs left something to be desired(a tad outdated). But I was still interested. I met her at her ‘shoppe’ in Carlisle and her portfolio of designs were very on trend and classy! I loved them. I designed my cake that featured a Victorian-looking ‘F’ and my vision was executed perfectly. I was so happy. I forget if I was just cheap and didn’t pay for delivery or if they don’t offer it(my wedding was at Jester Park, so maybe it was too far) but I had family members pick it up and deliver and was beautiful. I know that guests really enjoyed it and I my best friend’s husband also loved it so much they picked their wedding cake as well. 2 years later, I’m still thinking about it. Highly recommend.
