Popped in before some Legoland fun and was so glad we did. Service was awesome and the food was so good! Raspberry marscapone french toast was SOGOOD!!! I also got a side of bacon to give me that savory satisfaction. I also got a mimosa with pineapple juice to help jump start my morning.

Great little spot hidden away in a shopping center in Carlsbad! Really nice menu with a large variety of dishes. Most of the breakfast entrees come with your choice of toast or coffee cake(the coffee cake is to die for) and everything is very reasonably priced. The omelet I ordered was a bit heavy but I think that could be partially my fault as I may have overdid it on some of the fillings. The breakfast potatoes were a little bit dry but tasty. The ambiance is really cute with plum colored touches around the whole establishment. It’s pretty spacious but was surprisingly crowded on a Friday morning around 10am. Regardless they sat us right away and service was very prompt. I think they also have an outdoor deck which is a nice option if you want to sit outside and enjoy the weather! Beach Plum Kitchen is definitely a great little brunch spot and I would not hesitate to go back!

Food/Drink — Great selection of eggs, pancakes, hash, etc. The portions are large and very filling. The bloody mary was just meh. One strange thing I noticed was how they use orange juice glasses for water. So basically, one gulp and you need more water. Service — Great. Our waiter was pleasant and professional. Overall — I would head there again.

Such a cute spot for breakfast! On top of the chic décor, Beach Plum Kitchen also gets four stars from me for the excellent service, bright and airy ambiance, and tasty sweet treats. I had the Strawberry Shortcake Pancakes for breakfast. This dish comes with three pancakes, piled high with whipped cream and shortbread crumble. And fresh strawberries! Vanilla crème anglaise and maple syrup are in separate tumblers on the side so that you can pour as much or as little as you like. I would totally split this with a friend in the future. I only ate one pancake, and brought the rest home as leftovers. It was that filling! It’s definitely a sweeter choice, so if you’re sensitive to sugar, you’ll want to share it with someone, go easy on the whipped cream, or opt for another goody on the menu. I also had a Dirty Chai Latte, served up sweet and strong! It will definitely remain no more than an occasional indulgence for me, since the sugar and caffeine content seriously revved me up. I did have to go to work afterwards, and I was super productive, energized, and in a great mood overall, so if you have a channel for directing your extra-caffeinated energy after you finish your Dirty Chai Latte, it’s a solid choice.

We were up in Carlsbad for Cars & Coffee and decided to grab some breakfast while in the area — this place came up on my search. It’s a cute and modern place but not overdone. We got the bar spots. We got the Corned Beef Hash and Crispy Chicken Biscuit with crispy chips. Food came out in decent time even with when it was packed. My hash looked really glorious and it was awesome! They do big chunks of corned beef and smaller cubes of potatoes. Flavor was on point but I still put some tabasco for that extra kick. DH’s chicken biscuit was also delicious. With the addition of bacon, what more can you ask? Biscuit was really nice, not too dense — just that there’s so much of it. Meat to bread ratio needs to be tweaked a little bit but that’s about it. We would love to try their other menu items in the future. I hope by the time we come back they still have the Pineapple upside down pancake special! :D

My brother’s family and my family spent the weekend in Carlsbad. We were on our way home so I did a Unilocal search for a breakfast/lunch place and found Beach Plum. With the word«Beach» on the name, it was far from a beach. We got here on a Sunday at 9 am and the wait was about 1 hour. Not too bad since we had 8 people. We ordered the following: Bloody Mary($ 7.50): My husband liked it, it wasn’t anything special. Corned Beef Hash plate($ 11.50): I liked it, lots of pieces of corned beef, potatoes, onions and bell peppers. I really liked it, it was definitely not your«freshly opened» corned beef hash. Kids Burger($ 5): My son liked it so it was good. Kids Fried Chicken($ 5): My daughter ordered this and it has rosemary in the batter. So if your kid is not a fan of rosemary, then I wouldn’t recommend this. rosemary is a very strong herb, Buttermilk Fried Chicken Salad($ 11): it was good, good portion and there was rosemary in the batter so don’t order it if you don’t like rosemary. Chicken Chili($ 3): we added a cup of Chicken Chili to my entrée and it was very good. Very hearty with good portions of chicken and white beans. Kids Buttermilk Pancake($ 5): It was nice and fluffy. Turkey Club($ 10); Nothing special with this turkey club. You can get a good turkey club anywhere. Potato Chips($ 3 each order): Yum!!! we got three orders!!!
