I went in looking for a specific wine varietal, and the person working had no idea what I was talking about. He kept asking me the same question — if it was a brand, and was insisting I must be mistaken since he hadn’t heard of it. Sorry, but if you work in a wine store, you should know these things.

I went in looking for Japanese whiskey and found a good selection. It’s hard to find because it’s difficult to import. They recommended a great one and $ 20 cheaper than anywhere else, even online. I found my new go to liquor store!

Pretty typical liquor store for Southern California stocked with a decent amount of American and Belgian beer Off the side of El Camino Real in what looks like a tree nursery– you could definitely miss this place as it is not in a normal strip mall location. Ample parking, horrific yield to get out of the parking lot. By no means exceptional, but it is a legit bottle shop with some interesting California and WA state ciders, $ 30 bottles of Malheur Dark Reserve and Brut, 40oz bottles of Lagunitas Sucks. Yeah, its an odd mix. Wasn’t really busy in here despite its good location I guess. Staff was somewhat friendly. Bourbon/Scotch selection is poor. Wine selection wasn’t great either. Some champagnes were marked up $ 10 vs. other bottle shops in the area.

As i drove here from Carlsbad Outlets, I looked to my friend and said… «Hey, are we in Arizona?» The people here don’t like Obama too much, which means I feel right at home =) and don’t have to educate people on the Obama Deception(hint: in 2009, look at who all of his appointments were with… Hint x 2: Wall Street, none from labor, civil rights, etc). I digress. This shop is the classic looks like a puny trash can from the front, but as you walk in… You hear the«Ahhhhhhhh» and it’s a mansion! The cigar section is an utter joke since I came here to smoke a stogie while driving back to North OC, and the humidor sucked as my $ 13CAO brazilia ripped apart. Also bought some gas for our fatasses(monster). I walked around a bit lookign at stuff and taking pics. Since I hardly drink alcohol, didn’t really know what this or that is.

Plain and simple, it’s a great liquor store. It has a gigantic selection of beer, wine, and spirits. The staff greeted me when I entered and was very polite when I was checking out. The prices were a LITTLE high, but it’s worth the price considering the convenience. I’ve lived here for 7 years and never knew this place was here– just kept driving right past it. I’ll make sure I don’t make that mistake again.

After living right around the corner and working close by for almost a year, I finally came in here and boy am I glad I did. I would always trek to bev mo for my micro brew ipa fix but they rarely have anything new and their selection isn’t all that great. The selection is much better here, but they are a bit pricey compared to other local spots.

I will start with the good. 4⁄5 — Selection/Service, they have a very good selection and friendly staff. Whenever I have entered I am greeted and treated courteously. It has a certain charm so you get that small town feeling, its very nice. Move on to the bad. 1⁄5 — Knowledge, room for improvement on knowledge of their products. I say this as a person who has gone twice with recommendations, I blame myself for giving them a second chance. Use the internet before you go in. And End with the middle of the road 3⁄5 Price, 10% market-up and in some cases 20% not bad market-ups for a tourist spot on a busy road. They have a good deal on buying multiple micro-brews, but so does every other small/large market around the area. Nothing screams Overall not hitting anything out of the park, but if you know what you want and its convenient you can always count on friendly staff.

I have lived in the area for quiet a while and finally went into the store this last week. Wow I was surprised by their offerings, they have a pretty large selection to choose from. They had a pretty large Vodka selection, and Micro brews as well. I don’t think they are lowest priced but they are local. They are also willing to help out if you are looking for something, and they don’t have it in stock, they are willing to order it for you.

I’ve been coming to this store for the last 5 years and they always greet me with a warm welcome. They have a large selection of micro brews and any other beverages you may be looking for. I’m very excited they started to carry E-Cigs. Thanks to them I haven’t smoked a traditional cigarette in 6 days. I used to go to Von’s, but there’s nothing like supporting you’re own community. The entire staff is nothing but stand up guys. Omar, Patrick, & Juan always treat me like family. Best liquor store in the city. Period. You can always find something in you’re budget.(You will be surprised with the prices) Sincerely, Matthew Carlsbad, CA

Great mom and pop store right here in my neighborhood. I have been coming to place for over 5 years. For some reason their Unilocal!never showed up until recently. I guess I should have started it. They have a really good selection on beer, wine, and liquor. The beer prices are a little higher than Vons or even BevMo, but I would rather shop at a local store than a «big box» store. The fire wood is pretty good as well.
