While it’s convenient as I shop at Von’s, their service is spotty. They have lost cloths and then give a lot of BS when I question them. They have an attitude problem. I need to find a few place. If they can’t be nice, they don’t need my $$$.

They ruined one of my t-shirts through dry cleaning — yellow blotches all over the shirt. After multiple conversations and visits, it took nearly 2 months to get the owner to reimburse for the damaged shirt. In addition, this shirt was not easy to find considering it was from a smaller clothing company who no longer sells this style anymore. It seems the employees there like to pass on the tough questions to the«owner» who was not once physically present in the near 10 visits I had for this issue alone. I would recommend spending the extra $ 1 – 2 on gas to go elsewhere and save the hassle of ruining any garments.

I have only been to this place one time, but that was enough. I brought in six shirts to be dry cleaned. Five were fine, but the collar on the last shirt was ringed with holes. Either a hungry rat ate along the edges of my shirt or the chemicals they used to clean this were too harsh. Either way, I won’t be coming back here.

After eight years of using Plaza cleaners and having them ruin shirts and rip buttons out, I finally have stopped using them. The service is curt and rude and when I asked them to repair a shirt with a hole left by a button that was torn out, she wanted to charge me for $ 4.50. I said fix it or you lose a customer. She said fine, goodbye, so it’s goodbye to bad service, rude people, damaged clothes.

I dropped my Michael Stars leather jacket off to be cleaned 2 months ago and haven’t seen it since! They keep telling me to come back, maybe they accidentally sent it home with a customer’s items… probably hoping I will crash my car and die and leave them alone! I am a full-time nursing student, single mother of a 2nd grader, and I work! I have gone in 7 times to hear the same reply and I don’t have time for this ! I have been a customer here for over 5 years and they have never lost any of my crappy clothes! Just my most expensive, designer brand jacket that I paid way too much money for. I highly advise you to never leave off clothes that you like because you might never see them again, especially if it is designer

Don’t risk having your clothes ruined like mine. I figured I would try this place out because it’s right by my house and its open later than most the other cleaners. I truly regret this decision. I brought them six of my nice dress shirts, including a couple Tommy Bahama shirts. When I returned to pick them up, they had not been pressed and looked like they had just came out of the wash. I like my shirts to have a starched collar and sharp creases down the sleeves, which is pretty common. I was very specific when I dropped them off. I ended up taking two of the shirts because I kind of needed them for the following day and tried to pressed them myself at home(which was unsuccessful). The Woman working there said she would have the other shirts nicely pressed and ready for me the following week. I had already paid $ 35 so she said it wouldn’t cost me any more money, so I figured I would give them another chance. I went back the following week and picked up my shirts, when I got home I couldn’t believe the condition of my shirts! Each entire shirt had been heavily, heavily starched and to top it off they were very badly wrinkled. I called the next day and talked to one of the employees about what had happened. She was very understanding and said she would talk to her manager about it and see what she could do. In the mean time I took all my shirts to a trusted cleaners I’ve used before. He told me they must have used some sort of heavy chemical starch and it was unlikely he could undo the damage done to my four shirts, especially because they were so badly wrinkled. After never hearing back from Plaza Real Cleaners I decided to give them a call again. I told them I was disappointed and that I ended up with four shirts that are ruined and two shirts I now have to pay to get re-cleaned and pressed. All and all, I think I at least deserve to get my $ 35 dollars back! The manager said there wasn’t anything she could do. AREYOUKIDDINGME!!! After several weeks of waiting for my shirts and after you ruined four out of the six shirts I brought to your business, you think keeping my $ 35 dollars is justified? You ruined my clothes that cost me hundreds of dollars!!! What a joke… On a positive note, I guess I’ll be going shopping! Lol

Love this place! Owners are super nice & personable. VERY affordable, like 2 dollars-something per Dress shirt! And they do an excellent job, do not cut corners, clean clean facilities. Great. Trust Plaza Real Cleaners!

The owner is the most rude person I have dealt with in years!!! I took in 2 sweaters on 1÷7÷13 and talked to the receptionist, Nelly, about a Pendleton bedspread that still smells musty after being dry cleaned TWICE in the last 5 months. She said please bring it back and we will reclean it for you at no charge. I took the bedspread in this morning and the«owner» would NOT clean it at no charge and was extremely rude aboit it. I will never go back!!! Avoid the male owner!

Dear Readers, If you like your shirts(mind you, just the best ones) to come back with machine-created cuts and holes in them, then go here. You’ll enjoy the surprises as I did when it doesn’t happen every time, just when you least expect it. You’ll really like the fact that you won’t know until you start to button that shirt fresh from the bag and you’ve got 20 mins before you need to leave the house. The first time this happened and I returned with the ripped shirt, the Asian lady(I’m Asian too so don’t get in my face) denied it could be their equipment. I acquiesced and took my $ 65 Nordstrom’s shirt home. The second time, I was adamant because the cuts and holes were in the chest area of a $ 45 Jos. Banks traveler’s shirt which I had only worn three times. The restitution was free cleaning of another shirt. Huh? And this last time, three rips in a button-down striped shirt(yes, Plaza Real, you’ll remember this one!) from Express for Men! I really liked that shirt. So, thrice burned(or in this case ripped) and no satisfaction from the cleaner… I’m gone. I’ve conservatively taken clothing here for dry cleaning and laundry for several years and this past few months have been disaster-ridden! Take a look at the other postings here on Unilocal — you’ll see that Plaza Real has at least one piece of defective machinery or an untrained person who is ruining people’s clothes and losing them business. Why not come«clean», Plaza Real? or are you just a dirty little business that doesn’t care about your customers? i’m voting with my feet. if Unilocal would let me, it would be NOSTARS for YOU! Sincerely, Ripped and Ripped-Off in Calrsbad

One of the best cleaners! seriously the price is reasonable… My parents have been coming here for years, and when ever i need anything cleaned, or omg alterations! So affordable, I had to have some dresses taken in and omg they came out amazing! Being very petite its hard to find dresses… but now if i find a dress that’s a bit long i just take it in and they are more than happy to help me! very very happy!

got two $ 80 shirts back with holes in them… owner told me it wasn’t his problem and he’s not responsible for damaged clothing. Horrible, rude customer service.

I took my daughters Brownie vest to have the patches sewn on by the tailor at Plaza Real Cleaners. The owner took the vest from me and told me the total was $ 35 for the sewing. She charged me $ 5 per patch. Really sad that a Brownie vest that costs $ 10 would cost $ 35 to have patches sewn on. If your children are involved in school clubs and community organizations, find business that do not overcharge and actually support their community.

Said goodbye to Beasley’s when my husband discovered Plaza Real. They actually have COMPUTERS(not calculators and pads) to insure accuracy and accountability. Just an overall nicer atmosphere and consistently quicker service than Beasley.

If I could give this place ZERO stars I would! THISPLACEIS A TOTALRIPOFF! DON’T GOHERE! I got a bill for $ 60 dollars for 2 dresses, one skirt, and a suit to get cleaned. SO ridiculous that they can even get away with charging that much. They have no prices posted and they dont give you an estimate so you don’t even know how much it will be until your clothes are done. RIPOFF!

$ 14 to press a suit. You’re not using organic heat! Ridiculous. Unless they are filling my pockets with gold coins I am never paying that again.

Great Service! I couldn’t believe I could drop something off and it would be ready the next day by 5pm. Did a great job on my dry cleaning and the prices were good. I definitely found my new dry cleaners!

Pretty efficient service(I dropped off a coat on Saturday and it was ready Monday afternoon). It cost $ 18 for a short wool pea coat. I like this place because they don’t use chemicals that are harmful to humans that most dry cleaners use; they’re a «Green» dry cleaner. So, this makes me feel better about bringing my clothes here.
