Called for an appointment to look at furnace that wasn’t lighting properly. Was given a date an time range for arrival. When the day came, the technician arrived in the early part of the three hour window. Described my problem and he went right to work. In under 30 minutes the repair was made, a fair price was charged, and everyone was happy. If you are looking for good old-​fashioned personal local service this is who to call.

We had 2 different hvac companies come out and performed a «diagnostic» on my system and both companies gave me estimates for repairs within 20 minutes for around $ 2,000.00! I called Stillman and it was a BIG what a difference! The technician took his time going through my entire system, he educated me on «why» these parts failed and what could be done not only to fix, but to prevent this from happening again! He also told me that one of the parts the other companies were going to charge me for was still under warranty! Needless to say, I’m never calling another company but Stillman! Thanks guys!

This company is one of the few if not the only company left with integrity. They diagnosed my mothers system in Carlsbad. They actually reached out to me to get me involved in her decision making process because she is elderly! Bravo guys! Stillman customer for life!

This company is the best! From start to finish I was handled as a top priority. My furnace stopped working suddenly and I called Stillman because of their reputation. The service tech gave me a detailed explanation of what happened and all of my options on repairs, I chose to replace because my furnace was over 35 years old. There was no pressure and I am more than pleased with the results! I told my neighbor the price and they were shocked because they over-​payed with a different company for the same thing I purchased! Three separate HVAC contractors diagnosed our problem wrong. The first one replaced the pressure switch, second one diagnosed a reduced (double wall) i.d. of the heaters vent pipe through the roof that would fail-​safe the burner from lighting. The furnace had a toggling-​mind of it’s own until it quit.
Stillman’s, Gabe, went right to work. Tested all the components across the circuit board and diagnosed the problem as a failed capacitor. Repaired the furnace and included the diagnostic service charge in the price.
I paid as much to each one of the other contractors, and sometimes an education is expensive.
Call Stillman. They still run a «local’ business, like the 1970’s.

Our air conditioner compressor died and after getting two repair quotes from competitors I called Stilman at the recommendation of a neighbor. I was very up front with them that I was looking for a 3^rd quote, which they declined to provide unless I was willing to pay $ 99 up front. Needless to say, we didn’t get a quote.

I contacted Stillman for a problem with my furnace not working. I spoke with Dorothy who was very pleasant and helpful. They came on time, and Gabriel found the problem in just a few minutes. He was quick, and very friendly. I was thrilled and told him so. I would recommend this company to anyone who has a problem with their heating and/​or air conditioning and want someone who is honest and thorough. Thank you Gabriel for a very positive experience.

Thank you for your great work. I really appreciate the honesty of your company. Kurt was very thorough and direct. In fact, after asking another company to quote my mother in law who told her that she needed a new AC unit, I asked Kurt to go over there. He not only told us that she did NOT need a new AC unit, he was able to fix it for next to nothing. He wrote on his invoice that the prior quote was a case of Elder Abuse.
I just completed another job at my house that another AC company came and quoted me more than double what Stillman was able to get it done for. The clear reason was because the other company was taking advantage and repairing things that didn’t need to be repaired.
The technicians who did my repair, Gabriel and Gene were excellent.

They installed two ac systems in a house we recently purchased. The house attic has very limited access. Three other hvac companies told me that it could involve major construction, including opening up many walls. They simply turned down the job.
Jim from Stillman was patient when her visited the house. He found a small passage in a storage area which could run the freon line. They get the job done with 3 small openings in closets. Awesome job.
They arrived on line and accommodated most of requests. Highly recommended.
