This business has closed. I’m not aware of them opening in a new location, but for now they are out of business.

I am sitting here right now. A local artist is doing a live paint demonstration. Beau, one of the owners, is more interested in his computer and free beer than helping customers…

My favorite home décor store to visit here. Just beautiful and unique pieces. Like a rustic Restoration Hardware.

I have been a fan of this store since it was just in Monterey/​Pacific Grove… 1998? Since then it has moved to various locations (and sometimes more than one at a time), that I have trouble keeping up! Presently it has a great space in the Carmel Plaza.
Many of their products originate from Indonesia. I have purchased several unique furniture items (armoire, coffee and buffet tables, a bench made out of a plough share…). The furniture has held up beautifully in the past 12 years (and we have a large family that uses it a lot!). It is also a great place for unique gifts and home décor accessories, as well as interesting jewelry and scarfs, etc. I find it a great resource for interesting holiday and hostess gifts.
Every time I go there, I am amazed at the owner’s creative selections of wares.

Homescapes Carmel has some of the coolest furniture, «general» household items, and nic-​naks I’ve ever seen. This is a great store to get unique gifts and trinkets. I got a Miso Bowl set from here last Christmas and it’s quality.
It’s a fun store to just walk through and admire, but make sure you have a good 30 – 60 minutes because you will look at everything twice and be amazed by it each time.

No this is not your local yoga studio although it may smell like a day spa but this place sells beautiful home goods and a fabulous selection of unique gifts for those who appreciate things that normally would not be found in a not so relaxing space… like the gnarley mass marketed things at your local mall.
