NEVER has the term«caveat emptor» been more applicable than when dealing with Luxe Home Interiors of Carmel! Let the buyer BEWARE. Please check ALL prices with other retailers BEFORE ordering. PRICE: Wallpaper that should have been priced at $ 140 a yard was INTENTIONALLY written for $ 190 a yard. A $ 1,284 overcharge(w/tax). When I pointed the error out to Luxe, believing that 9 had mistakenly been written when a 4 was meant, I was informed that the higher price was the«Luxe» price, and I had signed the order form. RESPONSIVENESS: The original designer we made an appointment with at their store actually«blew us off» with NO explanation. We were helped by the next up salesperson/designer. From the beginning Luxe was reluctant to put communications in writing… preferring the telephone where little verification is offered. PUNCTUALITY: Nothing was delivered within the stated time frame. Shipping and handling of $ 190 for a roll of wallpaper was for standard delivery. You would think at that price the shipment might be expedited a little. PROFESSIONALISM: Error prone. Once Luxe gets their tenticles into your wallet – they don’t let go. They are relentless and will nickel and dime you to death. HONESTY: Although Phillip Jeffries was listed as the vendor on our order form we found out, on the day the wallpaper was delivered, «Luxe does not purchase directly through Phillip Jefferies.»(A quote from Chara.) If Luxe had written the true vendor on the order form this whole problem could have been avoided. We were bamboozled and failed to check previous reviews before we ordered anything… A BIGMISTAKE. I urge you to beware of the adversarial atmosphere that develops as the transaction progresses and concludes.

The showroom is merchandised beautifully and I was greeted promptly. I ordered just under 1,000.00 worth of new lighting. I was told they would be delivered in 8 – 10 weeks and was asked to place a 50% deposit on my order. I asked the designer that helped me with my order to search for additional products for me. I must say that I do live out of state, which I took under consideration when rating this business. I received an email stating my order would be delivered soon and I needed to contact the store to make final payment. That same day, instead of «white glove delivery» my merchandise was stacked in front of my garage. I was home and whoever made the delivery didn’t even ring the bell. I called the store, paid the final bill, they told me they would call with delivery arrangements, I informed them the merchandise had already delivered. They asked if it was white glove service, and I told them they had been stacked in front of the garage. There was no follow up from my designer to ask me about my satisfaction or to follow up on my initial request for additional products. I would have given this business a lower rating for poor customer follow up, but the product I ordered was as described, and I received it in about 4 weeks. I’ll leave it to you to decide how you would feel about almost 1,000.00 worth of merchandise being left in your driveway.

We had a very pleasant experience. Peggy L. and the owner(Shelby R.) were very patient with a pair of first time custom furniture buyers. The great room and dining room pieces met our expectations and work in perfect harmony. An effect we would have been unable to achieve on our own. The staff at Luxe are happy to do as much or as little as your needs and budget require. We are pleased to recommend this company.

Very disappointing overall experience with this store. Had great relationship when it was Norwalk but that customer service has left. We have now wasted many weeks that could have been spent producing our custom item only to take our current and future business elsewhere. Just some advice, patronizing a client about how«custom furniture» ordering works when said client has alot of great experiences with other custom vendors, is not an advised customer retention strategy. The only positive is that a full refund of our deposit was agreed to.

The professionalism knowledge that I was greeted with during my visit proved to me that they are the best. They designed every room in my house and I love every bit of it. The supplied everything from the custom furniture to the art work to the accessories. Left to my own devices, I wouldnt have hit the nail on the head as well as they did when it comes to my style. Unlike a lot of interior designers they actually learn about your personal style and rock it! They came in right on budget and were an absolute blast to work with! What more could you ask for? I already did the shopping for you, no need to waste your time on the rest.
