They are under new management since my last visit, so I decided to stop by and check it out for lunch. What really tempted me were the huge signs advertising $ 5 mega monster pizza slice. I had to go see for myself. They had cheese and sausage available and I went with the sausage. For $ 5, it also came with a can of pop. What a deal! When they said mega slice, they weren’t joking around. This slice was huge! Equivalent to the size of a quarter of a 22″ pizza, it was more than enough to fill me up. As for the taste test, I was a huge fan. It was pan thick with an awesome crispy bottom. The sauce, cheese and crust were good! I’m going to come back and try their other stuff to see if it’s as good as the pizza.

Ordered delivery from here for the first time today. Saw from other reviews that the guacamole is supposed to be good… and it is! Wish more came with the order, but you can’t beat a good homemade guac and homemade tortilla chips! The grilled veggie burrito was tasty, but nothing special. Their«hot» salsa is a medium, at best. I do appreciate that it was well-wrapped, so the burrito filling stayed contained and was relatively easy to eat without making a huge mess. You may laugh, but the heartbreak of wearing more food than has made it to your mouth is not an experience you want to have. Finally, ordered the bunuelos for dessert. And I expected bunuelos — those little fried dough balls covered in cinnamon and sugar, and possibly even stuffed with some kind of filling. I wasn’t picky; any tasty filling would be fine, in my book. Instead, I got cinnamon sugar homemade tortilla chips. They’re yummy, don’t get me wrong. They make a reasonable dessert. But they’re not bunuelos, and Baja Italiana needs to change the name, because it’s misleading. I do like their guac, though.

Another underrated gem! I decided to order from this place because of their free delivery on grubhub. Not having to order over the phone + not having to go outside, priceless! Plus, I love weird fusion cuisines and want to support restaurants that try to do something different. The young driver seemed very inexperienced and was a bit late, but it didn’t bother me much because the distance was greater than what local restaurants are normally willing to cover and I was happy they were willing to do it at all. And for free! The garlic veggie pizza could have been warmer but was saved by a fantastic white sauce that was savory, tangy, and garlicky as promised. You could smell the garlic through the box. They were able to substitute spinach instead of green pepper for me, though I think that may not have been the best idea, as the toppings were somewhat sparse and seemed overwhelmed by all the cheese — it probably could’ve used some crisp green peppers to break it up. Overall though, we enjoyed it. The guacamole was on the small side but impressively fresh. They went easy on the seasonings, which I love because it lets the avocado shine through. Will be ordering again soon to try their veggie burrito and NY style crust.

Where do I even begin? I got some coupons for this place and I decided to try it out. The first time I got 2 Mexican dishes. They were just terrible. The beans were watery and had zero flavor. The rice was under-cooked and bland. The enchiladas were bland and the tortilla was stale. The second time I got a calzone. The cheese inside might as well have been a block of rubber. The third time and final time I got a garlic veggie pizza. When placing the order the cashier didn’t even know the pizza was on the menu. He argued with me for 5 minutes until I persuaded him to look at the menu. He finally accepted my order. When I came in I was overcharged by 2 dollars for the pizza. When I asked about this he once again began to argue with me. I showed him the menu and the price and he just muttered something about ringing up the wrong item. To sum it up: Terrible Food, Terrible Customer Service, and possible scammers.

Ordered from here maybe 3 times, the first time they were 40 minutes late, the 2nd time the driver got lost, and the 3rd time they never showed at all. When I called to ask them what the problem was, they just sounded confused and disorganized. They responded with«mistakes happen.» Terrible business, terrible etiquette, and below average food. Go to Rosati’s instead of this joke of an establishment.

3.5 stars, actually. The dishes that work here are really good, but others didn’t impress as much. I got the chicken fettucini alfredo, while my wife got a small ham /canadian bacon pizza with pineapple. Their website says that they’ve won awards for their alfredo sauce, and frankly, I can see why! Delicious, flavorful, and the chicken was well cooked and seasoned accordingly. If they didn’t use a good dry white wine when making the sauce, they had me fooled. Then there’s the matter of the breadsticks, which were complimentary, but, alas, not complementary. It was flavored with either margarine or oil(not butter) and not altogether crisp or flavorful, though this could be because we ordered takeout. There was a little garlic flavor. A run through the toaster oven for leftovers improved its texture, but not the flavor. My wife’s pizza had a relatively sweet tomato sauce atop a delicious homemade crust. I was a bit curious about the clearly canned pineapple, which made me wonder where the canadian bacon came from, but overall, I didn’t have too many complaints about it. Let’s just say the flavorful crust saved the rest of the pizza. I swear, next time I really will try something from the Mexican side of the menu.

We’ve been going to this place since it used to be Bel Gusto’s. This review only concerns the pizza, as that is all we have ever eaten from them, despite the diversity of the menu. I’d give them 4.5 stars if I could, because I do love the pizza, but it’s not my absolute top favorite. We recently discovered they have a lunch special where you can get a large NY-style slice of pizza hot/ready to go for just $ 3. A great deal – though I think their regular pizza is far better. I hope they will be able to always stay around, unlike our beloved Jade Restaurant.
