My sister used this company for her kids birthdays and events. She only stopped because they are an hour away from her. But every time I ate these desserts, they never failed to impress me! Delicious! She is so talented and can make anything! The only thing that would stop me personally from using her is that she is a bit expensive. But, its worth it because you get what you pay for! :)

The communication between them and their customers is horrible. I emailed them several times for two possible occasions and would hear back but then they would take weeks to respond again. My last email stated they would get back to me within an hour and it has been 3 weeks. I am really disappointed in their customer service. I would have loved to give business to a local!

Recently Cutie Patootie was donating half of their cupcake profits to benefit Mended Little Hearts of Chicago, so of course I hopped on board. I ordered a dozen for my family, three for myself, and a half dozen for my girlfriend. I actually talked my girlfriend out of going to Sprinkles, knowing that she holds a special place in her heart for Lurie’s Children’s Hospital and would want to support the cause. Cupcakes were $ 3 each(with a $ 3 discount for buying a certain quantity), so it was a pretty penny at $ 60. We ordered a variety: Rumchata, Red Velvet, Vanilla, Chocolate Chip, and Chocolate. I got the latter three for myself. All of the cupcakes were beautiful, but, sadly, the excitement really stopped there. The Vanilla(yellow cake) lacked flavor and left a lot to be desired. The Chocolate Chip cupcake itself was good, but the frosting on top had an overwhelming taste of butter and brown sugar, and was very grainy(not mixed enough). The Chocolate was the best of the three, with a nice creamy white/vanilla frosting. The cake itself was a tad on the dry side, but overall the flavor was good. I LOVE the fact that Cutie Patootie donated half of their profits to support families of children with heart defects: that’s incredibly generous. However, I probably wouldn’t buy cupcakes from them in the future unless they improved their recipes.

Loved them!!! Cutie Patootie Cakes & Cupcakes are working toward opening a storefront and I had the opportunity to give their cupcakes a try this weekend. Bottom line? Delish! We tried three varieties. A red velvet with cream cheese frosting, a banana cupcake with(I think) apples mixed in and a strawberry lemonade. My son and hubby devoured the strawberry lemonade, so all that I know for sure is that they were pretty and probably tasty or my boys would have probably whined. We split the rest. The red velvet was very moist with a frosting that was not overly rich. Nice! The banana had some cinnamon and the perfect touch of frosting. Everything was fresh and beautiful! If I was being picky, I’d say that a tiny bit less frosting might be better. But, that’s me really trying to create something to complain about. So, I won’t say that. Instead, I’ll say that I am looking forward to trying some more of Cutie Patootie’s creations real soon!
