So, the boyf is offended on Hugs’ behalf I am giving three stars, but three stars is A-Okay, that’s not bad! That being said, there are limited options in the Sugarloaf area, all of which jack up the prices, nature of the beast I guess. I don’t mind paying for amazing food, but okay food should be okay prices. I think when we went to Hugs, it just wasn’t our night. We selected a bottle of red to order and the waitress changed our minds with her recommendation, we were not a fan. We drank it, cause we aren’t going to be «those guys» in a tiny little place off the mountain. Atmosphere was so adorable — super tiny so make a res if you’re planning on going. We went in the middle of the week and it was still full. Food was pretty good, A-okay if you will. We ordered and shared, the usu. Started with tri-color tortellini in the famous sauce, it was good. Craig ordered a lemon chicken dish with spinach, it was also good, I had the roasted garlic and spinach ravs, also good. Everything was good, not great, but good. The pesto bread the start you with is awesome. They also provide salad. Not bad overall, not sure I speak with the same enthusiasm some of the other Unilocalers do, but it was good.

This little restaurant is always hoping and with good reason! The food is too die for, the have an ample wine list, not to mention beer choices and a full bar and the service is personal and attentive. Any time I get the change to go to Hug’s I take it. The only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because it can get a bit pricey but all in all the entire experience that a visit to here will provide is worth it!

Hugs has fantastic food, probably the best in the Valley. You’d never know it driving by on 27– it’s a tiny hole in the wall place. The chicken limone is out of this world, cooked in a lemon butter sauce with mushrooms. It melts in your mouth. Yummy. I don’t think it’s open in the off season, ski season only, but I could be wrong.

Great little Italian Restaurant up near Sugarloaf Mountain. Excellent food and service. About 2 miles away from the resort, short drive or shuttle ride. We went on a week nite and very quiet. We heard weekends are very crowded. Entrees come with family style salad and pesto bread. The menu has a lot of great choices and daily specials. Highly recommend the meatballs for appetizers. For dessert we had Tiramisu and Canolis, both excellent. For such a small place and far from a city, very impressed with the many selections on the menu. Really enjoyed our dinner and would return again. They also have a location in Falmouth!

This is an amazing little place just off the mountain at Sugarloaf. The good is great, wine list is perfected, and the service is impeccable. I highly recommend this place to anyone in the area or anyone coming to spend the weekend skiing. The food is affordable and a decent portions. The appetizers are great and I highly recommend the meatballs to start followed by any of the pasta or chicken dishes. The beer is reasonable and perfectly priced. Come in or call ahead. They are a busy little place.

What a tiny little gem! I mean, the place is really small, but the environment and ambience is really cozy. We were there with a big group and weren’t expecting anything special or impressive. But the food here is absolutely awesome! The pesto bread before dinner was very tasty. And the angel hair with pink Alfredo sauce and meatball was definitely one of the most delicious pasta I ve ever tried — hands down. Seriously, it was a big plate of pasta, and I finished it all — rarely happens. I bet the desserts are also very good. But after the flavorful pasta in such large propotion, I had to give up. :( Don’t miss this place if you go to sugarloaf. It’s just minutes of drive from the resort — absolutely worth it!

This place is delicious. The pesto bread they give you while you wait for your meal is amazing. I had the chicken broccoli Alfredo with pink sauce(GET the pink sauce!!) and my boyfriend had the chicken parm. We couldn’t finish our meals there due to huge portions(yes please!) but completed them two nights later after a day on the hill. Still amazing. A must-visit if you visit sugarloaf!

I am lucky to live just minutes from Boston’s North End and all of the great Italian food that I can get my hands on… but Hugs still takes the cake. I’ve been skiing at Sugarloaf for 20 years and Hugs has always been my favorite restaraunt«on» the mountain. I say«on», because it is about a 3 minute drive south from the access road and not truly ON the mountain, but don’t let that teeny-tiny drive deter you. And don’t let the teeny-tiny exterior deter you! The setting is intimate, but not in a bad way. You won’t be sharing tables with other couple or anything like that. BUT make a reservation! It’s usually safest to call close to a week in advance if you are trying to eat on a Friday or Saturday. The wait staff are all very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. They will be sure to make your experience great. But the food. The food is what will keep you coming back. There is typically always one special that can sway me away from getting the usual, but if you can’t decide — go with the Chicken Limone. It’s… perfect. If that isn’t your bag — anything with the pink alfredo sauce is equally as perfect. Seriously — go to Hugs.

A fantastic restaurant. It doesn’t look like much from the outside, but the food is amazing. Waitstaff is very knowledgeable and helpful. Have been there twice now over the last year. Highly recommended.
