I think it says they close at 12 on the weekend, but it doesn’t =.= The wifi here is terrible so it makes it so hard to work there. I wouldn’t recommend it if you need a place with good internet to sit and browse the web. The pastries are OK but kind of overpriced if you ask me, as per most Korean Bakeries IMO.

Although this place is super cute, the service is awful. The staff were unable to provide adequate descriptions and explanations to teas that were unfamiliar. They were also more concerned with talking to their friends than taking our orders. We ordered the cookies and cream waffle. After the initial 15 minute wait, the buzzer rang and we went downstairs. Instead of getting the waffle, we were informed the batter they had used to make the waffle was expired(this was after they made it). To their credit they offered to make us another one with a fresh batch. No comps though. Suggestion: café brown sugar offers better service.

The service is extremely slow! I’ve never had to wait 35 minutes for two drinks! The cashier is not rude but he was not friendly either. They should tell you that the wait time will be longer than if you were to order food. This place will go out of business shortly. The coffee was simple. There was nothing special about it and it was priced a bit higher than Starbucks. My sister ordered a Green Tea smoothie and it tasted like sweet chalk.

Many people seem to not dig them on account of their bakery items. This however is not primarily a bakery, it is a Café, and I go to my café’s for the coffee. When it comes to Korea town, this place has the best coffee hands down. THREE words. They Roast Their Own Beans. Yes.thats 5 words… yes I failed math class, multiple times… point remains THEYROASTTHEIROWNBEANS. Walk in and you will be facing a big shiny red machine behind the counter, you ask inquisitively what that is for… the answer comes like a melody… «That is where we roast the coffee beans.» Say no more… Spoil the moment not… savor this moment, savor the coffee, be happy. Good coffee in Korea town. There is a god.

I have been to this place a couple of times. With each visit, it gets worse… On my recent visit, I had an iced milk tea and a macaron ice cream. Yeah… big mistake. The milk tea was unbearably sweet… I have no idea what they put in there. The macaron ice cream was SOHARD. I don’t think anyone working there has any idea of what a macaron is supposed to taste like. The green tea ice cream was okay. I also had a sip of my sister’s strawberry smoothie… my god. I literally felt like I was straight up drinking sugar. It was way too sweet. The place itself is quite large and roomy. I guess it’s designed a little better than Mozart, but the drinks and sweets at CP are seriously lacking. It’s also a little pricey. I would rather go to Brown Sugar…

ITSUCKS. SH**. TERRIBLE. I ordered 4 different kinds of bread. It all looks different, but taste all the same… bad. Everything taste bland and dry. This is my first actually writing a Unilocal.I hope that emphasizes how had the bakery here is. I also ordered the potato soup inside the bread. I swear. They just bought a package from walmart and just serve it to their customers. It was about $ 10. I know the taste cause i actually tried the walmart one.

The coffee here is really good and they also sell food items. They make your drink fast and the customer service is great.

When I first heard of this place I thought, «wow, like that area needed another café.» I was a bit hesitant to go when my friend suggested we try it out, but ultimately I acquiesced. I’ve been twice now, both times I had the pizza bread, or as it was labeled«sausage tortilla». It was cheap and delicious. I’ve also tried the cinnamon manjuu and the chestnut manjuu. Both are good, but the cinnamon is the best. I’ve never had trouble getting a seat here, the food is good, and it’s fairly cheap. I would recommend this place.

This place is beautiful! There’s tons of seating with big windows and it’s just a great place to «linger» and sit around in a private setting. I went with 3 other friends and shared a shaved ice which was huge and a perfect size for a group of friends. It was topped with ice cream, condensed milk, 4 fruits and mochi. I’m not shaved ice expert but I thought it was pretty good! If I lived closer, I would come here to study and hang out regularly!

So its a nice café and big. bakery has a lot of options(though I wish it had more bread). Prices are alright, though a bit on the higher side. If you’re in the café area upstairs to work, stay away from the windows — it gets roasting toasty pretty darn quick. And for the drinks, don’t get the iced white chocolate. I was expecting some kind of coffee, like white chocolate syrup laced iced coffee but instead got some ultra sweet while chocolate and milk drink. It’s way too sweet for my liking and no caffeine fix to boot. Sigh. Methinks there are better cafes in the area. It’s not in the main Hmart plaza either, so its harder to hop between places.

I’ve spent literally one hour here and I’m already excited to review such a cool space! Not everyone has the privilege to drive into the city to experience great coffee shops. But in Carrollton, the Korean H-Mart shopping area is the next best thing. Now, Koreans love coffee. That may be a generalization but if you’ve ever been to Korea, coffee shops are literally in every corner and every block. And they’ve brought that love to the suburban city. Café Paris is probably the behemoth of coffee shops at H-Mart. Being a two story shop, the place has their bakery and coffee to order downstairs and then upstairs a huge space for people to mingle, study, and Unilocal. The upstairs has huge windows for great lighting, tons of seating room, and the general atmosphere is quiet. I love the wooden furniture, walls, and the small attributes of French medieval design. A 16 oz. iced coffee is just as pricey as a Tall Iced Macchiato from Starbucks. So don’t feel too bad when you’re paying. The Honey Bread is huge! Get that for a group of friends to share. It’s a half loaf of white bread sweetened with honey and topped with sliced almonds, cinnamon, and a scoop of Vanilla ice cream. They pre cut it into small rectangles for easy eating. The pomegranate black tea is extremely sweet but really delicious to drink on a cold winter day. Around late afternoon, the crowd of young people swarms the area and it gets really loud so just be warned that it can easily get really distracting here. It’s a huge hangout for chatting and mingling. Not so much trying to get solace. WIFI is FREE! And even though the space has lots of seating, I suggest to students to find a seat near the wall to charge their laptops or phones — those outlets are not as plentiful.

Went to Café Paris last night because my sister was in town. It was a party of five. I ordered red bean shaved ice and cookie and cream waffles which totaled up to around $ 20. Fair price. The shaved ice bowl was enormous that we couldn’t finish it all. Disappointment that some of the fruits were from a can though. We were told that there was some problems with the waffles maker, so we had to wait longer for it. It was about five — ten minutes until we were buzzed for it. They gave us an extra scoop of ice cream for waiting so long. Look gorgeous however the waffle tasted burnt. We only ate the ice cream and fruits off of it. Kinda sad about wasting the waffle tho.

Have been here several times and finally decided to leave a review. I’ve come twice to study with friends and once as a large group gathering. I’ve heard about the bad service here, but it wasn’t too bad(might do with the fact that I speak Korean) but the staff definitely don’t seem like they want to be there. They’re not the most welcoming people. The pastries and bread are definitely better than the Korean bakeries around that area, and the place is nice and open to have large social gatherings. However I wouldn’t recommend studying there. Their wifi cuts off ever 5 minutes for 5 minutes at a time. Overall it’s not a bad place to meet with friends and socialize, but nothing more than that. update edit: This place is obviously going out of business, my friends were pretty much insulted by an employee asking them to pay $ 20 because they were using one of the private rooms upstairs for a birthday gathering. Where does it say we have to pay money for a gathering?! I’ve never heard of such horrible service for a place that has better competition all around that area, here’s a tip for the owners. 1. Focus on your employees first, they are the face of your company whether you like it or not. They represent you, and they’re doing a horrible job of it. 2. Make the employees serve the food and drinks upstairs, it’s very inconvenient for customers to have to go back and forth those long stairs, especially for older guests. 3. If you’re gonna charge for private rooms, make sure you state that somewhere instead of having an employee harass and assault your customers. I will never come back to Café Paris again, and I’ll make sure everyone I know doesn’t go here.

Ah Dallas H Mart Korea town area, I’ve missed you. Houston ain’t got anything on Dallas’s abundance and saturation of Koreans. But alas, the cafes in this area seem to always leave me feeling like they could offer more. In regards to the other reviews mentioning that Korean speaking customers tend to be served first. it’s true. You also have to realize that you’re in an area where Korean traffic is almost nonstop. Whereas not really paying as much attention to a non-Korean speaker seems rude. it’s expected in such an area. Even when I’m in Chinatown in Houston, I shove either my Chinese or Vietnamese speaking friends in front of me. You’re not going to change the fact that their main customer base is Korean. Unfortunately, they’re just going to cater to them more because they’ll come back, whereas a non-Korean may not. They have a variety of breads that I find more impressive than Mozart’s. Whereas quality is pretty much the same and nothing wows me — it’s still something different than the usual array of sweets you see in any other Korean bakery. The décor confuses me because the two floors seem like two different cafes came together and put themselves haphazardly on top of one another. But then again, it’s a Korean café so I stopped asking about décor synchronicity a long while back. Their layout is actually quite large and provides just enough space between tables for a bit of privacy. You won’t be able to hoot and holler without someone being able to eavesdrop on you but you’ll be able to carry on a relatively intimate conversation with some peace and quiet. Overall, Café Paris falls into the category of just another Korean café. Do I think they’re terrible or fantastic? No, not necessarily so. It’s not good, it’s not bad. But it sure as hell beats Starbucks. Where else are you going to go past 9PM to kill some time? Korea town, that’s where.

Be careful of the cakes from this place. Was told that the cake we bought was freshly baked today but after coming home and served it for guests and found that it tasted weird and saw that it was very moldy on the underside. Very disappointed

I came here to study. Usually, I go to Mozart because there’s not a lot of people there, but I decided to try this place out. The atmosphere and décor of this café are very cute. There is a lot of seating area upstairs and some of it is pretty secluded. There are huge windows that overlook the H-Mart area and Old Denton, so that is a plus. It definitely helps studying feel less tedious. I ordered the Snowflake Ice with green tea ice cream. It was really big(see photo) and could easily feed four people. It came with red bean, mochi, and sweet milk cream. It was good, but I don’t think I would eat it again. The only complaint I have about this place is the customer service. I didn’t even read the reviews on Unilocal before I went here, but what a coincidence that other people had the same issue! The workers here are definitely biased towards Koreans. I could definitely see the difference between the way they treated me(Vietnamese) and a Korean person. I went to the counter to order and had to stand there for two minutes while a worker was behind me fixing the decorations. When she finally came to the counter, she did not even greet me or smile. All I got was a mousey«what do you want?» Wow. Excuse me for trying to order! She then took my order, slid my card, and walked away. No «thank you» or «would you like your receipt.» Ridiculous. I didn’t even know if I was supposed to stand there and wait for my food or go back upstairs. PROS: Nice atmosphere, ample seating area, good view. CONS: Food is not anything amazing, service is beyond terrible, very discriminative. I don’t think I will be coming back here. Then again, the workers would probably be happy about that.

Got the strawberry and red bean shaved ice. Love it! At first, I thought they gave us too much ice for the small amount of the toppings, but it was a good ratio. Better than mozart and café bene. Complaints: –they gave me a small scoop of ice cream… it was really small… –they gave me a small amount of strawberry too. but the red bean was good enough to make it up –they should make a size for 1 person.

My experience wasn’t the same as others but similar. Shop owner, if you’re reading these reviews you should hurry up and re-train your employees or get new ones. Alright so let’s just say don’t be fooled by the name. There is no hint of french at this place only Asian. Why did they name it Café Paris and not Café Seoul? Anyways the pastries were nothing different. The shaved ice aka snowflake ice was good. For the price, you get a quiet a lot. The way how they portion the amount on the shaved ice was perfect. Now why 2 stars? Well like others said the service here really stinks! I mean these kids don’t know dittly squat about working at a café. Or else the manager didn’t train them right. Whatever the case they need to be trained not only on the coffee making but also on service. My situation was we ordered shaved ice and the cashier gave us a buzzard. After paying the worker placed a shaved ice on the counter. We asked them is this ours? No answer just a blank stare. We asked a second time, is this ours?! Finally one looked at us like we’re speaking another language, just nodded. So this isn’t the only thing that happened. When I paid for my stuff the cashier snatched the cash out of my hand. This is a big NONO in the cashier world. Like I said the service sucks and the pastry is mediocre. The only thing I would recommend getting is the shaved ice.

I’m not giving two stars like Café Paris is ‘bad,’ per se, but I have definitely been to better. With Caffe Bene, Café Brown Sugar, and Mozart Bakery all taking names in the main H Mart shopping center, Café Paris really isn’t too much to make a fuss about. It’s a little bit awkward to get to there from the main shopping center too. LAYOUT The set up of Café Paris is pretty similar to the other cafes — drink menu up front. They have the same breads that Mozart has, but no cake slices. Macarons, yes, and some whole cakes, yes, but I saw nothing in the display case that I could buy for just a sit-down café study afternoon kinda thing, you know? There isn’t any place to sit on the first floor — you gotta take all your goodies upstairs. Now, I liked the feeling of the second floor. The seating areas were all well placed, and the booths are situated such that you get a good feeling of seclusion. Best part about Café Paris is all the natural lighting! Great for studying. FOOD/DRANKS Something I saw a good number of people order were the giant bowls of bingsoo/shaved ice. Perhaps I’d get that if I ever went again. Otherwise, I was kind of offended that the only creamer they had for their coffee was the powdered kind, and the half and half came in Land O’Lakes capsules. Really? I thought you were a café! Please give some more effort into your drinks! The coffee itself was strong and bold though, so that made up for it a little bit. AMBIANCE In terms of the décor, I was a little confused. I liked the use of wood — seats, walls, floors, separators. There were metal family crests and spears hanging on the walls. A helmet here, a globe there. One tiny picture of the Eiffel Tower hung on a wall, and a picture of the Paris Metro on another. Otherwise, I was wondering if this was Café Medieval Paris? Overall, not a strong new competitor in the Korean café scene. Café Paris is just another(slightly lesser) option among many.

An absolutely adorable place for people who like adorable pastries Wow, another bakery in the Hmart area! This one is supersize though, they have 2 floors. The first floor is your bakery and goodies, full size with all varieties imaginable to mankind. If the smell alone did not bring you to sweetness heaven, the taste will. The coolest thing though is the second floor completely furnished and devoted to student study/hangout. I mean, here you have the entire floor with comfortable sofas and seatings, equipped with power and full tables so you can study to your heart’s content(or other productive works if you’re no longer in school). There is wifi also! Overall, this bakery is a combination of Starbucks and Mozart, with a much bigger and more comfortable setting to hangout. If I live close by, this would be my place of choice to work in.
