Got stuck in hellish Dallas evening traffic, so I thought I’d stop here to wait it out. So glad I did! Food was delicious, and the service was stellar. We had the veggie spring rolls as an appetizer and a Cody’s Special and pad see ewe with tofu for mains. I love pad see ewe, but it’s so easy to mess it up. This place did not — flat noodles were cooked well, veggies and tofu were on point, and the dark soy sauce/garlic seasoning just right. I also loved how friendly and helpful the server was! The only drawback was they did not have mango sticky rice or thai custard. If I’m ever in this area of Dallas again, I’d definitely come back!

Looks can be deceiving. It’s the taste that matters! This place has become the only spot we consider when having a work friends dinner. The service is wonderful and the food is amazing!!! The servers are incredibly friendly and always willing to help if you’re new to Thai food. My favorite is the Massaman Avocado. Give it a try!

Food is excellent. I got the Yellow Chicken Curry. So flavorful, and delicious. It came with a cup of their egg drop soup, which is the best I’ve ever had. Service was nice and friendly. My only complaint is the vegetables in the soup were rather large, making it difficult to eat, and the carrots were too hard to cut. Flavor was worth every bite though! Worth the stop!

We’ve been on a Thai food kick for the month of December and have been trying different Thai restaurants every chance we get. We were headed towards the newly opened 99 Ranch Market in Carrollton and decided to stop here for lunch on a weekday. The restaurant was easy to find, and has a small private lot for parking in front. They have a good selection of lunch specials available Mon-Fri. Comes with an eggroll and soup/salad of the day. We ordered the Drunken Noodles(Pad Kee Mao, spicy level 1 out of 5, $ 8) and Noodles Coconut Soup(Tom Kha Gai, spicy level 4 out of 5, $ 9). Both were extremely flavorful and delicious. The Pad Kee Mao was definitely one of the top ones I’ve had. The service is quick and the servers were friendly. Highly recommend!

Ordered for pick up, first time eating here. Came across this restaurant from Unilocal as it was still open late night. One rule I have is to never order pad Thai for pick up as it usually arrives home dry. But I still went with it and ordered extra sauce. Food was as good as any other Thai restaurant but definitely awesome place for a late night dinner date.

Have never gotten anything but take out. I really like the coconut noodle soup with chicken, it’s my go to here. This is just a mediocre Thai spot, but one of the better ones in the area. The only Thai place in the area that I think is better is Thai orchid.

There are better competitors in the area. I tried this out because 1) I was craving Thai food 2) Thai Star(my go-to Thai place) had issues with their credit card machine and I was out of cash. 3) I was working from home so needed delivery. So I found Coconut Thai Whatever on Unilocal. It’s basically fast food Thai. If you’re looking for really good Thai food in Addison, go to Thai Star. This was fine. I ordered the Panang Curry and it was okay. For convenience sake, it was fine. But I probably won’t order from here again. When I want curry, I want curry. And I want it right. If you want mediocre Thai, this place is fine. For good Thai in the area, I highly recommend Thai Star!

We are Thai food lovers and this is definitely in the top 3 of places we have eaten at in the US. Reasonably priced, excellent service, and delicious food. We enjoyed the vegetarian egg rolls, fried tofu summer rolls, tofu pad see ew, and chicken pineapple curry. Portions were large and we could have easily shared the entrees. All of them were great!

This was my first time here, and I’ll be back often. I am already addicted to this place. I was drawn to it from other Unilocal reviews, and did a happy dance when I noticed that all the gluten free dishes are labeled! This saves me so much time from asking questions, and I feel safe about eating my food. Vegan is not labeled, but most dishes can be made with tofu, and they are knowledgeable about the menu. While it was a little pricey for my meal, I could barely eat half of it — so consider the price(of the Massaman curry at least) enough for two. They were happy to modify it to exclude the cashews. I messaged them to ask about the cream sauce on top, and got an immediate friendly reply about the ingredients: coconut milk, tapioca, and sugar. Free of dairy and animal products. The Massaman was filled to the rim with fresh avocado and TONS of perfectly cooked tofu. The curry was not too sweet and spiced just right(I got level 4). Great service. I’m nerdy-excited that I get to eat my leftovers for lunch tomorrow! Definitely try this place.

This was one of those days… a few hiccups and several missteps, my lunch unfortunately was no exception :( Craving some good Thai, opted for CTG as it is just a few short blocks away. Called in an order to go around 1110 and walking in the store around 1130 it was ready and waiting. Note — a cup of soup comes with the lunch special but not available in to go orders; dine in only. So, I left without the soup of the day :((Don’t they have containers for soup? Very strange) My order was one Thai Fried Rice with chicken and one Pad Thai with Chicken. I ordered extra egg and tomatoes in the rice, tamarind sauce for the Pad Thai, and peanut sauce for the included tiny egg rolls that came with each entrée. More hiccups also included with my meal. The extra egg was piled on top of the fried rice, looked like maybe two additional scrambled eggs. The eggs were way overcooked, dry and crispy around the edges. Ever had crispy scrambled eggs? Most definitely not appealing; I scooped them off and into the disposal. The extra tomatoes were of the pale pink variety, mushy and no flavor. They joined the eggs in the disposal. Now, as to the rice itself. It was quite tasty, with good flavor and a huge portion for a lunch special. I did enjoy this along with the(again) tiny egg roll; crispy and great with the peanut and sweet & sour sauces. On to the Pad Thai, the biggest hiccup of all. Delicious noodles with the crumbled peanuts and bean sprouts along with a drizzle of the extra tamarind sauce. I bite into the chicken and WHAT? Such a strange texture and flavor. SURPRISE! It’s not chicken, it’s tofu. Fried, crispy tofu. I love tofu of the soft creamy texture, but not this version. More company for the eggs and tomatoes in the disposal. The plus however was the flavor of the noodles and the large serving, more for lunch again later in the week with another tiny egg roll. The heat level I requested of 2.5 was perfect for my palate. I am thinking this experience was a real anomaly as I have enjoyed several meals in the past @ CTG, the reason for 3 stars instead of 2. Also, the price for lunch specials are pretty great, $ 8 for each entrée which is at least 2 meals per entrée for my appetite. Thai Star in Addison is my all time favorite; should have gone there, but CTG is so close to home it’s a practical choice for something quick to go after a hectic day. I did call the restaurant and let them know of the issues with my meals; the staffer was very apologetic and offered me replacements which I declined as I was not inclined to go back to pick it up. By this time, I am in a lazy don’t want to do anything state of mind. But appreciated that he wanted to make it right. Okay, it’s one(or two leftovers) meal out of a lifetime and as my glass is always half full, the rest of the week can only get better!

Excellent late night Thai food! They’re open until 1am which is awesome because everything is closed by then. This is a very interesting restaurant, because it looks like somebody’s house from the outside but it’s located right next to a gas station. Everyone who works there is very nice and helpful. We order the corn patties for an appetizer, and they were basically fried corn. Very simple, but I love the spicy tangy sauce it came with. I also got the pad Thai(because you can never go wrong with pad Thai) and it was really good. I also got a mango martini, and it was more of a slushy consistency but it was very sweet and very strong. A+ in my book.

YES! finally found a Thai place I really love. They are located on Walnut & Beltline … right before the gas station. First make sure to try strawberry green tea — it’s iced and delicious! best thing… FREE refills! We ordered a lot as my first visit I was very impressed so we brought our parents. Appetizer 1) Lettuce Wrap — nothing special; minced chicken, herbs and spices. Main Course 1) Shrimp Pad Thai — OMG!!! for me it’s the best pad thai I ever had; my dad kept raving about it because it was his dish — everyone tried it. Just right amount of spices and flavors. 2)Thai Beef Kabob — very delicious with a lot of flavors, server with rice, veggies and tomatoes! 3)Drunken Noodles — very spicy and very nice — no complaints here 4)Curry fried rice — Although delicious I would say this did not compare to other dishes. Service is awesome — family owned and ran… I will visit again and bring my friends. Make sure to try the strawberry green tea

This is my go to Thai restaurant. The experience have always been perfect every time I come here with my boyfriend. We’ve had a couple of dishes on the menu, like the tom yum soup(best tom yum soup I’ve had so far), pad see ew, drunken noodles, different types of curry, pineapple fried rice, tom yum noodle soup, and none of them have ever disappointed us. The service is also great, attentive and friendly. Keep up the good work coconut!

Mom and I recently came here during a layover in Dallas. We couldn’t find anywhere to eat late at night, but found this cute little restaurant. Service was nice, and the waitress very kind. The entrée’s were alright, but they made my soup crazy spicy. I asked for mild, but it was burning my lips. They quickly changed my soup, but even that soup was a little spicy. So my suggestion is to really tell them your spice level. Their mango desert was really good. It was the perfect end for our pallet.

Get the strawberry green tea! It’s really addictive, and free refills. I’d never been to the area before, so I was really eager to see what was here. We got there kinda late(30 mins before closing), but the servers were courteous and snuck our orders in before the kitchen closed. We ordered the chicken satay for our appetizer, and the 3-meat crispy pad thai and curry fried rice for our entrees. The chicken satay was probably the best I’ve had(granted, I haven’t tried too many Thai places yet). The meat was so tender and the peanut sauce was really creamy. The crispy pad thai was ok. Instead of normal noodles, they substituted in fried wonton chips(remember those things that go with egg drop soup at chinese buffets?) I probably would have liked the normal pad thai better since the fried stuff was just too much. The curry fried rice was really delicious though. I found myself taking huge bites of it even though I wasn’t that hungry when I first sat down. Overall, great place for a quick authentic meal!

It’s always hard finding the right place that does right by ASIAN food. I think I’ve found it. The crispy pad thai is like nothing you’ve ever tasted; it’s definitely on the sweet side for you sour individuals out there. This place looks slightly sketch on the outside– looks like a cheesy restaurant that serves Thai food then chicken strips and corn dogs on a child’s plate. NOTTHISPLACE. It seems to be the real deal. Thai beef and the crispy pad thai; make them apart of your repertoire.

This place is as good as everyone Unilocaled. I have driven by this place several times and everytime I drove by I thought well that looks like an interesting spot. So I finally Unilocaled this place and decided to give it a try. To my surprise the food here is wonderful the portions are very large. We ordered chicken egg rolls and had no idea they would give you 5. The egg rolls were homemade and had lots of meat in them. I ordered a small soup and that too was large enough to feed two. The crispy pad Thai tasted awesome. It was a really different dish. I would come back just to eat that. My lad na was large. I had to take that home. Overall great food and service :)
