I sent in my hearing aid from California with the repair form etc. After waiting several weeks with no word from them, I began calling to see if they had even received my package. Never did I get so much as an email or call of any kind from them, after calling at least 3 times that I can remember. Finally one day a package arrived with my hearing aid in it, and my Paypal account was charged the $ 225. The first time I put a battery in and went to close the door of the hearing aid, I noticed that the door seemed stubborn and didn’t really close cleanly with the familiar«click» that it did before, and that it’s partner still did. But, since it worked, I went ahead and continued wearing it. After a few months, it started acting up again. Same symptoms that prompted me to send it in to begin with. Finally it stopped working altogether. I don’t want to put more money into this so I began to look closely at the hearing aid to see if I could disassemble it myself(I’m kind of an adventurous DIYer) figuring that I have nothing to lose. As I began to look at it more closely under a magnifying glass I discovered that one of the battery terminals(the little springy arms that hold the battery in place after you close the compartment) was completely loose, just being held in place by the pressure between the case and the actual body of the electronics. My guess is that it was bent, but not broken off, when they were working on the hearing aid. That is evidently what caused the door to close poorly and then over time and with normal use of opening and closing, the arm finally broke free. Really, really disappointed in the service and treatment both I and my hearing aid received from this company. Their lack of communication was just baffling to me. If you want customers, don’t you try to treat well those who have already contracted for your services? I feel totally ripped off. I’ll have to go and pay for new hearing aids now, since I can’t buy a mate for the one surviving aid, as they are now obsolete.

I recently sent my hearing aid here for a repair, and I received back still«dead» and without its battery compartment. So going on here, and I will file a complaint with FTC, since they cashed my check without doing fixing my hearing aid. Luckily I have strong connection…

Well, I am really disappointed in Hearing Haven. The reviews I read were so positive and encouraging, so I was looking forward to getting some help with my hearing issues. When I called to make an appointment, the receptionist was friendly and scheduled me an appointment for 9:30am, which is when their office opens each day. On the day of my appointment, I arrived at 9:25am to a dark, locked office. I was a little surprised nobody was there, but I was early, so no big deal. The receptionist arrived at 9:30 on the dot. I walked in after her and she asked me if I had an appointment. I replied that yes I did at 9:30 and I handed her my new client paperwork that I had filled out online. She told me that someone would be with me shortly and asked me to take a seat. After sitting there for 20 minutes, I got up to walk around and check out brochures and hearing aids, etc. She noticed I was up and moving about to which she told me she would call«David» to see how much longer it would it be before I could go back. After she spoke to David, she informed me that he was running late and wouldn’t arrive for 45 more minutes. Then she asked if I’d like to reschedule my appointment. Normally, I am very understanding of things, but I scheduled a babysitter for my baby, took time off work, etc. to go to that appointment. I made sure that I was on time so that I didn’t waste their time, it would have been nice if they had made the same effort. To say I was annoyed would be an understatement. I made an appointment elsewhere and don’t plan to return to Hearing Haven. I wouldn’t recommend this place if you value your time.

Hearing Haven was VERY helpful and worked with me while I was in a long process of getting approved for a grant through a non-profit… They helped get the hearing aids I wanted… I have and will refer them to ANYONE I hear needs something!

My mother needed a hearing aid repaired while she was in town, and I found Hearing Haven on line. They do ONSITE repairs for a very reasonable charge and it only takes one week. Mom & I were so thrilled, we went back there to order her new hearing aids. Here is a business that is really more interested in improving people’s lives through better hearing than in selling the most expensive device to the most people. What a breath of fresh air! I hope this review brings them lots of business so they stay in business a long time.
