Invited by a friend to go to the park. Had never been here before. Its a nice park. Lots of grassy area’s as well as pleanty of shade from huge trees. Very clean, except for the animal poop on the sidewalk. They have a train to ride that cost 2 $ a ticket or 3 for 5 $. Its a nice ride through the park. Though there was some sort of fitness event going on there still was pleanty of parking. The bathrooms were even very clean which was wonderful. Nicely stocked with t.p.

The boys both 12 had a blast trying out their scooters at Mills Park! The Wheelhouse a really awesome Carson skate shop had just tricked out their scooters and they rode like a dream! I highly recommend both places, first The Wheelhouse for the items you need to make your skate or scooter go fast and make those radical turns, then head over to Mills Park in Carson City. Or if heading to Gardnerville try out Lampe skate park which could be the best park in the area. Its just off the main drag with parking close and full view of the park, a grass park nearby as well as restaurants, coffee shops, fast food, gas and quick stops.

Mills park is a beautiful park. Whether you want to play volley ball, tennis, horseshoes, or soccer there is a place for you at mills park. My little one loves the little train ride and the train models set up, and running inside the«train station.» Plus, the people that run the train are quite friendly. Even though neither of my kids skate, one of the things I like the best about this park is the skate park section. It is so important for kids to have somewhere to go and something to do so they stay out of trouble. The reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the toddler playground is in full sun and gets too hot to play on. With all of that space and all of those wonderful trees, you would think the playgrounds would have been placed in atleast partial shade. That aside… What a fantastical place!!!
