Silver Oak Golf Course

Awesome course. They keep it in great condition, which makes it my favorite track in town. The staff is always more than friendly, and willing to help in any way that they can.
Prices are affordable, and the views are great.
Definitely make this one of your stops if you’re golfing in Carson City.

I always enjoy playing at Silver oaks Golf Course. The course is always in good shape, which is always nice. The course is challenging and yes when the wind comes threw you have to be on point. The only thing that I dont like is the pin flags. Half the time you cant see them. Hopefully they can change them out to brighter colors instead of yellow and black. Other then that the price is reasonable and the staff is always nice.

After winning their 11^th consecutive state title they are heading once again to the Nationals in California later this month.
They could not do it without the amazing support of the Carson community.

Love this course… Iv played a decent amount of golf all around Nevada and California, and this is a great course at a great value. It really plays like two difference courses altogether. The front 9 is your classic desert course, Sudden and dramatic elevation changes, with plush fairways and fast well maintained greens. The back 9 plays and looks like the modern country club style course while you play through a community of pricey homes that line the course. The course conditions are amazing considering your in the desert.
Took away one star B/​C there is no grill or deli on the course. They have an amazing banquet facility littered with classic 50 – 60’s memorabilia. Has a real malt shop vibe, but they have nothing to eat beside pre made/​packaged sandwiches, similar to what you would find at 7 – 11. They did however have a full bar and plenty of beer for sale! I will return next time I am out this way!

we’ve been coming here for years, golf is great here, but one of the best experiences has always been the food and the great bar overlooking the sierras. What a huge disappointment when we went yesterday to find that they no longer cook sandwiches, they ship them cold from somewhere, and everything is downstairs. So no more beer after golf overlooking the sierras. Would have been 5 stars last year but no more. Golf is still good I’ll say that again, but please bring back the upstairs bar and kitchen.

I am a 10 Handycap and this was a good course for me. Fairways have plenty of room and the grees are nice and big. I played in January and every thing was brown but it still was fun. The club house is filled with good stuff. Check out the old Thunderbird in the Bar area. Nice people and easy to say yes to this one. Plan on riding because you’d be crazy to walk.

like this place, great layout and fair greens. wind is definatly a factor here so you need to make those adjustments, elevation differances with nice undulation to the greens, nice and receptive greens too. staff is very friendly. i look forward to playing here it is a good challenge for any level of player. if your a hack thou your going to shoot a high score.
