Just had the best Al Pastor burrito from this establishment. Authentic and worth the trip!

This place is out of the way, but well worth the drive. The food is authentic and just like home, with hand made tortillas. We have been here twice and both times the food was very good. For this meal we drove over from South lake tahoe, that’s how good it is. We will be going back on our next trip.

Not bad, authentic food, a bit higher priced than expected.

Had a craving for a good carne asada burrito. They also can put green sauce on it. That’s what I did. Took a guy from out of town. They cook the tortillas right in front of you. You can’t get that just anywhere. Good food good price.

What really sets this place apart is that they make their tortillas fresh when you order them(which is surprisingly fast too). This gives their tacos a warmth and flavor that you really don’t get anywhere else. The other offerings on the menu have been sort of average from what I’ve tried. It’s not a big deal though, since the tacos are worth the trip alone. Their condiment bar is very well stocked and nothing I’ve had from that has been bad, which stuff like their salsa verde being especially good. One issue though is that you can wind up with quite the queue of people getting their stuff packaged up in the bags and plastic cups they provide, and the way it’s situated makes it difficult for more than one person to be there at a time. This place is my pick for best Mexican food in town.

Yummy breakfast. We had tortas, one lengua and one carnitas. Add your choice of toppings, including tomatillo sauce, sour cream, shredded cheese& more.

I like this place to have my lunch. the food is tasty and the service is super fast. As Mexican I can say that the flavor is good and authentic, home made tortillas in USA… and fresh ones, its not easy thing to find in this country, and I really enjoy to go and eat home made tortillas. the place is really small, but i have been there in lunch times only, around 12, and its full, I can see many people goes for lunch, since its fast and delicious, there are not servers, you order and you serve yourself your complements, many types of sause, pico de gallo, etc. its a fast food restaurant and you get all the things you can expect in a restaurant of this kind, and the prices are good.

Not bad, but not good. I ordered the tamales and they were mostly masa. Like a few other people have mentioned-the beans are really watery and a little off putting. Sad, because I work nearby and it would have been awesome to have a good lunch place that I don’t have to drive far to get to.

I’m no authority on Mexican food. In fact I hate Mexican food. But the food here is very good. I usually have the Chile Verde and I always like it! The carne asada looked good too. I think I’ll try that the next time go there. Here is are some tips on enjoying food here: 1. There is a short middle aged lady who runs the joint. In my experience the food is bad whenever she is not around. I went there one Friday and there was a younger lady running the place and the food was quite terrible. 2. It was a little crowded today but the food was particularly good. So I’m guessing it’s good to go when it’s peak lunch hours because fresh food is being cooked as several orders are being placed.

Love it! It’s a hole in the wall with counters and stools. Lots of customers use take out, because it’s small. Real home cooking like Mama makes. Tortillas made in front of you. Patio seating, weather permitting. My mouth is watering while writing this.

I lived in Mexico for five months and these are the best tacos I have ever tried! The pastor and asada are delicious not to mention fresh made tortillas!

Fresh delicious food. Reasonably priced. Outstanding. Very small restaurant with counter seats and outside seating in the nice weather. Always very crowded for good reason. You can watch the tortillas being made in front of you. Always a large pot of Menudo on the stove which sends it’s yummy aroma out the door so you are anxious to eat as soon as you walk in. The fresh salsa bar adds that extra special touch.

Came here again after a few months away. The re-fried beans were terribly runny and that really was an unpleasant surprise. I’m docking them a star for sub par beans, a no-no when it comes to Mexican cuisine.

So Shannon had a day off(I get angry at State Workers who get every holiday you can imagine and normal people like you and me have to work our booties off) and I had heard about a «hidden» Mexican restaurant up past Goni. I thought they were talking about Juan’s Grill inside the Comstock, but I was wrong as usual. I located the restaurant and we proceeded inside. I enjoy«hole in the wall» restaurants over a main restaurant because they seem to try harder to please their customers with actual food. I ordered the Chili Verde and Shannon went for the Pork Tacos. I scarfed my food down as though I was breathing the food in. Shannon took her time savoring the tacos with lime juice squeezed in. Delicious. Next at this place will be the breakfast menu. This grub is tasty! Unfortunately for most people, it seems to be only open until 3 p.m.(2 p.m. on some days). So people who work a distance from here will not get to enjoy the cooking this place dishes out.
