I can’t even give this place 1 star, it’s that bad!!! I can’t emphasize how disgusting the food is here, I nearly vomited. Tons of food in a cafeteria style setting that it’s hard to believe they make that much food fresh, daily. Which is why I don’t believe they do. It certainly doesn’t taste fresh. It tasted like whatever food they didn’t sell was refrigerated and reheated the next day and the day after that. The place was unclean and dirty, littered with dirty dishes that hadn’t been picked up. And the cashier was so rude it was unbelievable. Don’t waste your time or money! Yuck! Terrible customer service !!

I called to ask a few questions about catering, but the lady who answered was soooooo RUDE!!! She sounded so irritated as if she didin’t want to speak with me. I am not supporting this Filipino Restaurant anymore. Their food isn’t even that great compared to other filipino restaurants. GETITTOGETHERPEOPLE!

I’ve only had breakfast at this restaurant and I’ve never had a bad experience. Sometimes I get there just as they’re opening, so when they don’t have everything ready it’s understandable. I miss the old lady that used to open up, but the staff is still good and the quality of the food is what keeps me coming back again and again.

LATEREVIEW: It’s so sad to see the negative reviews for this restaurant. I personally have always had a good experience here. The food here has always tasted great especially their breakfast. I always order their Tapas, Longganisa, Fried Egg, and Garlic Rice. My favorite is their BBQ Chicken and Pork. I also enjoy their complimentary soup when you order their combos. I would recommend this for a quick fix or to go

Overall, I liked it. I thought it would be more comfortable sitting because of it’s largeness. It is just like all of the Filipino restaurants that I have gone to, like Ranch Market and Tambouli. One item lunch for 4.99. They all just have small wooden tables and chairs in an open space, feeling like an outdoor marketplace. The selection is very good and they were gracious in letting me try the Adobo, which was ok, the menudo, but something missing and the goat. The goat was the best and spicy. I young man ordering, recommended it. I liked it the best, but I ordered the milk fish, rice and chayote squash. The fish was dry, but good. The chayote looked better than it was. I am used to making it tender. I did like, very much, the shredded veggies in it. The ladies were busy working and sweet people.

One Word… YUCK! Seriously… how has this place not been shut down for food violations? We arrived around 8:30pm(they close at 9) and the lady acted upset we were coming in so close to closing time. She even locked the door behind us and it wasn’t 9pm yet. LOL The food in the buffet line was floating in grease and you could tell it was REALLY old! Everything looked crusty and gross! We were there for their Halo Halo but I almost didn’t order that either cuz if you can’t keep your place clean and your food fresh or covered or whatever then what is gonna be in my drink? Ewww… I will never visit this place again… even if I do have a craving. O ya… and at least be nice when you work. A little good customer service goes a long way with me. I sometimes add a star even if I hate everything else.

I will give it 5 stars all around. The service was great. Friendly people. Spoke to me in tagalog… even though I don’t speak it, lol. But with my half tagalog and half English I was able to order food. The food was good. Nice turo turo restaurant. I will return.

Jeff introduced me to this place a couple years ago when he wanted Filipino food. Since then, this place has gone down in noms. The first time I went, their food was great! It’s a cafeteria-style restaurant — you pick up a tray, point to the foods you want, pay, and then find a seat. They have halo-halo and they have snacks on the sides near the register. My favorite thing from this place are the lumpias but they only serve them in party sizes so it’s kind of hard to come here just for that. They’re mini-lumpias and they come with the lumpia sauce. I prefer going to Tita Celia’s for Filipino food. Sorry DJ :(

Local go to pinoy take out place — 4 stars for their BBQ pork on a stick(very picky niece approved) Overall, the dishes taste good(missing the WOW factor). Standard cafeteria style«turo-turo» — the point system if you don’t know the name. ;) BBQ pork on a stick and other meat are sizzling on the grill about 11ish. Parking can be a challenge during lunch and junior high school dismissal pm time. The commercial strip center has JBJ Bakery(great macaroons), Tony’s BBQ(freshly made to order BBQ/food), and Subway(to name a few) for other finicky eaters in your group.

I stay in the hotel across the street for work about twice a month. I eat at DJs on occasion. Good selection of snacks, but the food is not great. Lechon was all fat. Best for breakfast. Sweet pork and sausages, garlic rice, banana sauce. For lunch go with Tony’s next door.

Look like a chinese fast food place. I went to eat here on a Sunday so they didn’t really have anything available. They give free soup. Thats it…

This is a pretty sterile environment that makes you not want to eat here. Because we were in the area for a week, we wanted to try the local foods. When we stepped in, it didn’t smell right. When we looked at the buffet of dishes, they looked appetizing – but not. We decided to pass on it all week.

The only thing good about this place is their restroom. I recommend eating at Tony’s in the same shopping center because the food is made fresh and just tastes better. I bought a bibingka here to compare with Tony’s and it’s quite awful at DJ Bibingkahan. I can barely finish it, but I feel bad if I throw it away since it is edible, but no where near as good as Tony’s bibingka. Most of the food I ate was really bad. I say stay away unless you need to use their restroom which is the only reason I bought food here. I’m sorry to say, DJ Bibingkahan gives Filipino food a bad reputation and Tony’s should take over this space.

How much I like this place honestly depends on the day. I went yesterday actually, and has this dish called«pork estofado» which I have NEVER seen there before. It seems like some of the dishes are random and don’t stay long. The estofado though was incredibly delicious! The lady even let me sample it. I think she was new because they’ve never offered me a sample before. She also didn’t speak tagalog, which was kind of odd. The food is laid out cafeteria style and they have a pretty big selection of things. The only iffy thing is that you don’t know how long it’s been sitting out for and it’s usually not the freshest thing you’ll eat. Across from the dishes on the other side of the room, they have racks for chips and snacks, and a little table for treats like ube cakes and things like that. For drinks, they have canned soda and a couple of large jars of juices. I know for sure they have cantaloupe juice and buko juice, each with bits of fruit and whatnot in them. Although i’d be careful about those too because I tried to order buko juice once and they said«oh, it’s expired.» So then, uh, why leave it out???

Food is good not great. Be watchful when they ring up your food total at the register. They actually charge you fifty cents more for each item you buy, from what the price they actually advertised. Fifty cents is not much but it adds up if you buy a lot.

Their food is great and the folks that work there are great. I like going there every Sunday for lunch with my Mom, except we were there last Saturday, July 26 and they were closed for health reasons. Ummm, what happened?

Pros: Ample parking and large selection of pinoy food. Cons: 1) their turon is cold and not good; 2) their unisex restroom is dilapidated and old; 3) their dining room area is hot and uncomfortable; In my opinion, I don’t recommend dining at this restaurant.

What a disappointment. Probably won’t come back. The lumpia was not hot, not even warm. It was not crispy. Then I was given a vinegar dip instead of the usual sweet and sour dip. The chicken Chicharon was horrible. Other Filipino restaurants in the area have better chicken chicharon. The lechon paksiw was the worst I’ve ever had. It was so bland and boring. The sarciado was the only thing that had seasoning but unfortunately it did not have enough sauce.

Another Pilipino turo-turo(food is laid out cafeteria style and you point to what you want) restaurant in Carson that I tried for lunch a couple of days ago. Upon entering I saw a couple of people eating at the tables and was advised about a $ 4.99 two item lunch special with one item being chicken the other being some vegetable dish and the standard two scoops of rice and soup. I asked if they had any kare-kare and would have preferred to get my standard order of kare-kare and chicken adobo but unfortunately they did not have any kare-kare. I was also informed that there was no specific days when kare-kare was prepared so it seems to be random. I decided to go with the chicken and vegetable combo. I found the food station to be well laid out and the overall restaurant seemed to be clean. My server was a short, friendly guy who made me feel welcome and gave me huge portions. I did not find very many desert options here so didn’t get any. They accept card with a minimum of $ 10 so it was essentially cash only. Taste wise I found the Chicken Adobo to be a little soupy so I was expecting the worst but was it had a nice taste — not overly sour and with just the right amount of pepper. The vegetables also felt nice and fresh. Looking at the quality of food for the price that I paid, this was a sweet deal that will have me coming back for more.

I bring my dad here all the time. Its closest to my home cooked filipino food. I dont like how the new filipino places try and change or upgrade how filipino food should taste. Im more of the basic dish filipino food lover and they have it all here. From mechado to mungo. They also have chicharron. The ladies who serve are great too. And the prices are great for how much you get.
