Najera’s Barber Salon

They cut hair really well here but I have seen the whole shop full and two of the barbers will leave for lunch. I think that’s bad service. They should realize we have been waiting an hour some times for a haircut. And you leave for 30 min. I love the way they cut hair here and if this problem is resolved it would be 5 stars from me. First time i got my hair cut here… so i’m doing the review about the lady barber who’s stationed at the very back.
I showed her a couple of pics of different hairstyles… and asked if she could make it so that certain aspects of each styles would be done on my hair. Surprisingly, she did it! I was really impressed and gave her a decent amount of well-​deserved tip. Definitely going back here and look for her next time again :)

I have been cutting my hair since I can remember. I’m very happy to say I have found the place where I will be cutting my hair from now on. Very clean cuts first and foremost. The barbers are always friendly and fair. There is no cutting at this barbershop which is by far the most common problem and barber shops with appointments. I love the «First come, first serve» protocol they go by. They make everyone feel special and that is what I enjoy most. Thank you guys! Keep up the great work!

I see they do a quick job at cutting hair. Other than that, it’s your typical barbershop. There’s about 5 chairs in here. By the way, it’s right next door to SOL nightclub.

Tony cuts my husband’s hair and didn’t hesitate to take my son there. He qas very nice /​friendly. Props to him. Loved the way my son’s hair came out! Definitely coming back.

Best barbershop in the Southbay! Love that any barber can do a perfect cut here. Obviously there is a line here sometimes, but all 5 barbers can give you the perfect cut so the wait time is 30 minutes max. Friendly and family-​oriented too, they are respectful and make sure the language is checked, especially if there are kids in the building getting a cut.

I can honestly say this is my barber. The barbers are friendly especially Tony «my guy» can’t complain this is right near my house, you just got to come on a day when everyone and their momma aren’t getting their cuts. I’ve seriously seen moms come in here for cuts on occasion. Tip your barber, my guy!

Every time I come here they usually do a good job. The price is fair. I’m usually a regular and I’ve been to a lot of different places. I just wanted a good basic haircut. And they do a good job of it.

I’ve been coming to this barber shop for about 5+ years, getting my haircut with the owner and now recently with «my guy», «FAM» Marco. Best barbers in carson. And at a fair price. Everywhere else is too over priced and overrated. Not here. Check them out ! Asap! for that «fresh» weekend cut.

since moving back to South Bay I had problems finding and searching for the right barbers. one of the guys who works here knows and gives me the perfect taper. he usually has the front chair.

Sparse and basic shop in Carson Street that does basic men’s cuts (as far as I could tell). I waited for about twenty minutes for a couple of guys getting their cuts, and as far as I saw they excelled in getting the basic cuts down. When my turn came up, the lady doing my hair was nice but to the point. A bit of a family affair, but the kid who just came from school didn’t bother me any nor slowed her mom from cutting my hair. Maybe not for guys who want their hair styled beyond a few basic shear and scissor work, or guys who want an «experience» out of their visit to the barbers, but for a good, basic and quick haircut for cheap this place is good.

I’ve been going to this barber since 2006 and I don’t see myself going anywhere else for a while. I always get the same two haircuts every time I go here: either a #1 on the sides with a rounded up fade and nothing off of the top or if I’m looking for a job I get the same thing with a scissor trim off of the top. This place is run by a husband/​wife duo and they both do a great job. Warning to all those with razor bumps: only the husband will give you a #0 because the wife absolutely refuses to touch them! Najera’s charges $ 10 for a standard men’s haircut but I always tip at least $ 2. Also, they only accept cash. One more thing, avoid going from 3 p.m. — close and Saturdays because that’s when all the junior and high school kids go. I made that mistake once and waited 1 hour and 45 minutes for a haircut once. The location of this place isn’t favorable and I’m fortunate I discovered it because it’s located right next to Midas and Omega Burger (
). It doesn’t even say «Najera’s» on it’s sign. It just says «Barber Shop» and you’ll know what it is when you walk in and see people sitting down and reading magazines while the husband and wife duo do what they do: do a great job cutting hair.
