Of the two Aldi’s in the area, I think this is the better one. The prices may be the same but this store just is a little nicer in not so obvious ways. Aldi is now a player in the Midwest on food and providing items seldom if ever seen in these parts. This area is great in public transport design. There’s an Interstate within a mile and it’s very easy to get on and off it. The layout of the streets in this area are such that it’s very easy to get in or out of all the major stores within this two mile radius. Almost everything you need is right around the corner. This Aldi’s I believe is a bit smaller than the one in Joplin and I have to say that the employees at both stores are just as nice but this location is so much more convenient than the Joplin location in terms of distance and ease of access. For those who don’t know Aldi, either you love them or hate them. They generally sell one brand and that would be their house brands. On 95% of what they sell, they can’t be beat. As in most Aldi’s, they have a smaller selection of wines and beer. Some do make fun of someone being on an Aldi wine drunk. But, most of the wines are fair to average and for the price fits. They have seasonal items like power tools and most of those have a three-year warranty as long as you keep the receipt. They don’t offer the selection of Kroger or Publix but for what they do have, one could easily dine quite well, cheaper than Kroger, Publix or especially Walmart.
