Food was good– not amazing, but good. It’s your typical greasy diner fare. What made it stand out was the staff. The owners came out to say hello. The waitress was incredibly patient, especially with our 3 yo son who was having an epic meltdown of sorts. It’s a perfect place for locals and kids. We would definitely return if we ever drive through Carthage again.

We ate here at lunch yesterday. One girl had chicken fried steak, she said it was good but was not a fresh chicken fried steak, it was pre-​frozen. I had chicken nachos that had a good flavor but the chips that had cheese on them were soggy by the time I received my plate. The chips that didn;t have cheese were stale. The chicken had a good flavor but was very dry and over cooked.
We will try again but only once more. :)

Cute little 50’s diner. We were in the area & found it on Unilocal.The catfish was good. Onion rings are good. Green beans were ok — never as good as fresh. The service was great. Prices are really good. I wouldn’t go out of my way but if in the area would come back.

We got the special, a pork chop with two sides. My pork chop was uncuttable it was so tough. They did cook another upon request. My two sides were a dollop of mashed potatoes (the size of an ice cream scoop) and some tasteless corn from a can. Wow! Color me disappointed! The help staff was nice.

We stopped on our way to KC, and we’re glad we did! Good and service was great. We stopped in on a Thursday afternoon and had no wait at 1145am, and food was pretty fast.
I ate the cheeseburger and did half onion rings, half Suzy q’s, it was great! Husband had grilled chicken salad and said it was good, kids had corndog with fries (reg fries are like home sliced and cooked, good!) and chicken strip (1) and applesauce.
I’d definitely recommend! Cute little diner with good food.

Great old school Diner! Good home cooked food and priced right. I recommend the special of the day. The service was very fast when we visited. Food came out very hot. If you are on a road trip stop here to eat, don’t eat fast food.

Iggy’s has THE BEST home made onion rings you have ever tried! I get mine with a side of thousand island and BBQ sauce and mix them and it taste just like an onion blossom! Great sandwhiches too. I recommend the ruben!

Prices are just right and the amount of food is plentiful! Hamburgers were large and thick and the tenderloin was equally large, but not so large that it’s overwhelming, like many places.
I love the diner feel. The only thing that would make it better would be poodle skirts!

We went to Iggy’s after reading reviews here on Unilocal.We were not disappointed. The burgers were great. The onion rings were good, but are not like traditional rings they were more like what other restaurants call onion straws. Don’t go to Iggy’s looking for a desert. All they have is molten cake and ice cream.

What a great lunch I had in Carthage, Missouri on Tuesday. I never imagined giving a restaurant in rural MO 5 stars; however, this joint is the real deal.
Place has a great vibe. We were seated next to the Marilyn Monroe wall. Cute décor. In Carthage, MO it works.
Had a craving for a taco salad. I was shocked to receive a flawless salad. Shell was fried crisp, not greasy. All veggies were fresh and the chili was awesome. This was a flawless taco salad. My business associates had chicken fried steak and fried catfish. Both looked amazing.
Even my coffee was good.
I loved this experience. Look forward to returning soon!

The absolute definition of burger diner! The baskets are full of taste and the onion rings are my all time fave. A great escape when you’re looking for a calorie splurge. Spaghetti red with pickles and onions is my go to order!

Your standard greasy spoon, Iggy’s is pretty good. I took the plunge and had one of their 2 pound burgers and managed to finish it. I was full for a about a day and half afterward but It was still worth it because it was pretty damn good, And you can’t beat the price, especially for a NY’er

Cute Airstream-​esque exterior and cozy, super-​clean diner interior. I ordered the perfect guilty pleasure food, Suzy Q’s made fresh and a delicious burger with all of the trimmings. My boyfriend enjoyed their fish sandwich and crispy onion rings. Definitely not healthy… but so delicious. Good service too.

After all of the great reviews I did not know what to expect. I was glad to see that I was not disappointed.
The huge burger was fresh, moist, and choc full of flavor fresh off the flat top. The onion ring side that complimented the awesome burger was also top notch! They were thin sliced and seemed to be freshly battered. They were crisp, tasty and some of the best that I have ever had.
