No plans to have dinner out. Decided after a movie to stop in. 25 – 35 minute wait last night(reasonable) served Pizza slices to those waiting(nice) Our waiter(Turner) super attentive, the meal was delicious and then complimentary coffee!

We go to Carrabbas two or three times a year. We have been going ever since it opened. It was our«go to» for birthdays and out of town guests. Not any more after Monday nights visit. Food was mediocre with all the hot dishes luke warm at best. The minestrone which is usually the highlight was room temp. Service was really off. The restaurant was not busy. I have a lot of respect for waiters and waitresses. I know what a hard job it is but this was just plain indifference. She would give Waldo or DB Cooper a run for their money. Not sure where she was disappearing to all her tables were in one section. Did spend a lot of time chatting with coworkers when would could see her. Twice stopped on the way to the table with items and talked with them for 2 or 3 minutes which was particularly frustrating having your food two tables away getting cold. To top things off one of our party asked for a to go container for a good size portion of left overs. Waitress threw it away the was unapologetic when we asked where it was.

We haven’t visited Carrabas in a while and found the prices significantly higher. The food was very good. The service was poor. We waited over 20 minutes for bread and was given a small portion and we were told the kitchen had run out. Another 20 minutes for salads and appetizers. Appetizers weren’t served at the same time. Waitress never asked if we needed anything during our meal. And then we waited while she stood and talked to another server for at least 5 minutes while holding the gelato we ordered. We asked for a to go container for two orders. She brought one back and threw the more expensive salmon out. No apology or compensation offered.

We were there on a Saturday night. The experience was average… We ordered tilapia w grilled asparagus and cavatappi franco w chicken — the fish was great, but the chicken dish was disappointing; the pasta was cold and there was water in the bottom of the bowl. Our server was nice and treated us to Tiramisu, which made a nice ending… Overall experience: hit or miss.

My husband and I returned to Carrabba’s after avoiding it for a long time and we were delightfully surprised at the improvement in the service and food. My husband had the Lasagna and I had the Chicken Parmesan. Our waiter, Foster, was wonderful. Very attentive and accommodating. Hopefully the food and service will be just as wonderful the next time we visit.

Rating average is about right. Nothing outstanding, but good food. Menu seems a little limited.

This is a great place to take the family. The staff is so nice. I like that I can take my kids here to eat the salmon and mashed potatoes instead of just Mac and cheese like everywhere else. No one knows how they get that perfect herb formula for their bread and oil! The curbside carryout has also been great for a working mom.

As a chef I try not to be too critical. We had dinner here last night. I will never return. The food was mediocre and over priced. Even the desserts were tasteless. I gave it two stars because it was just okay. I am not a fan of Olive Garden, but they are better than this place.

Carrabba’s has been my favorite restaurant for several years, but no more. A week ago I had a wonderful new pasta seafood dish, on the day it was just being introduced, that had a champagne sauce, pasta, lobster, scallops, and shrimp. It was amazing! and I couldn’t wait to come back for my birthday on May 9th. I ordered the same dish and it was barely recognizable as the same dish. There was no recognizable sauce, no lobster, and it was barely warm. My server didn’t return for awhile but the server I had previously, Laura, recognized me and came over to ask if the dish was as good as before.(she is and amazing server!) At her urging I let them make the same dish again. The manager came and said she«oversaw the making of the second dish and it should be perfect. It had at least an inch of watery milky liquid in the bottom of the bowl and no flavor. They just could not replicate the dish that had been initially served. The server(not Laura) was disinterested, the manager unknowledgeable of her product, the atmosphere loud, and the floors dirty. My husband’s chicken alfredo was also«stuck together.» This restaurant has taken a nose dive and we won’t be back.

The portion sizes are small for what you pay. Went there on a Sunday at 3 o’clock and the restaurant was practically empty, now I know the reason why.

This was my first time going to this restaurant chain. I have to say the service was excellent but the food left alot to be desired. The Alfredo sauce was very thin like milk and lacked flavor. The majority of my husband’s chicken was too burnt to eat. I was so disappointed. I am not anxious to return.

Went there last night with a group of 10. Had a great time. I ordered some pork tenderloin with vegetables. The meat tasted fine. .but was not even warm. The vegetables were green but room temp. I did not complain cause I was hungry and did not want to ruin the night. The lady across from me ordered some fettuccine with chicken. When it came it looked dry and almost brittle and sure enough it was. She did not want to complain cause she was from our of town and did not want to ruin the gathering. I got the waiter to see her and the waiter was awesome and very nice and took it back. The replacement immediately looked very moist and right. She took one bite of the chicken and spit it out and said it was cold. The waiter was very nice and offered to make sure it was right again but by this time she was just so frustrated she decided to just take it home with her and put it in the microwave and eat it later. At least that’s what she said she was going to do she may have just throw it away who knows she was extremely disappointed I felt bad for her because she was visiting and we all recommended this place. The lady sitting to my right ordered ravioli and she ended up only eating one ravioli piece. I didn’t ask her what was wrong with it but it was obvious she didn’t like it Also need to add that there was some weird musty smell going on inside where we were sitting which was to the right when you walk in the front door on the bar side to the right of the doors where we SAT and it just had a nasty musty smell that several of us noticed. We noticed it immediately after walking into the place so even though we never walked over to the left side of the building it was very prevalent at the front door. I was there to have fun I have eaten at other carrabba that are much better than this one for whatever reason. Kind of disappointed and hopefully the next time I go there I won’t be like this. You know to pay the amount of money that these meals cost I expect a little bit better so that’s only reason why I’m complaining here if it was a Denny’s restaurant I would just not say nothing and say that’s the way danny is but thats not supposed to be the case with carrabba’s. I want to add that the wait staff was excellent very nice very friendly make sure our table was clean off of dishes kept bread full and drinks full.

Calamari with red and white sauce with peppers was a good appetizer. Hot bread with olive oil and some spices. Lentils and Italian sausage soup was a good start. Carrabba’s Spiedino Di Mare(Shrimp & Scallops) with capellini and marinara sauce was good and service was very fast. Raspberry panna cotta was a nice clean finish for dessert. Monday with only 10 tables filled at 1700PM service as fast and accurate.

Wow, no no no NO! Carrabba’s is typically our favorite Italian chain restaurant, but this place just couldn’t get their act together. It wasn’t busy at all, yet service was extremely slow and unattentive. As if slow service wasn’t bad enough, the kitchen was even slower, and when we looked around the restaurant every guest had the same irritated/pissed off look on their faces… I always order the Sicilian chicken soup when I go to Carrabba’s and today it was completely bland and lacking any flavor. The only positive thing about our experience at this location was that when our entrees finally came out(25 – 30 min after ordering) they were hot and delicious. We would have given this place 2 stars, but that changed when we left and went back to our car to discover one of the employees in her panties in the back seat of her car changing for her shift(it’d be more forgiveable if she had done this parked in the back of the parking lot where there were NO cars, but she chose to do it where all the guests park). This place was bad enough that we were tempted to complain to a manager but figured it would be pointless because we never saw a single manager walking around despite all the failures occurring in the restaurant. DOYOURSELF A FAVOR, if you live in Cary just go ahead and drive the extra distance to the Capital blvd or Apex location, sacrificing those 10 extra min of driving will undoubtedly guarantee a much better experience!

Carraba’s is okay in my opinion. The food(depending on what you order) can be hit or miss. The portions are a bit TOO big for my liking(as I always end up taking something home and having dinner for the following night). I had the shrimp risotto, and it was a bit on the mushy side, but still flavorful. Would I get it again? Maybe. It was not good, but it was not terrible, either. There is also a lack of Handicap parking spaces, which proves to be a problem for my Mother(who has trouble walking unassisted). We have to either get out and walk her to the door, then find a parking space, or drive about until one opens up. It’s a bit of a hassle. The atmosphere is always dark and never well lit, which makes me a little uncomfortable. I like to be able to see what I am eating when I dine out, and this does not help. I also had an issue with the booth seats, which you just kind of sink into and are not all that comfortable. The only good thing I can say about my time in Carrabba’s, was that we had a wonderful server. She was very personable and kind, making sure my Mother’s order was just as she liked(as my Mother is also hard of hearing). She was truly wonderful, and I was really grateful for that. In all, I would not want to go back or dine in Carrabba’s, unless I truly had to(meaning family wants to go).

Came here with another couple on Saturday, very busy but were seated very quickly even though we were told it would be a 20 minute wait. Comfy booth with plenty of room. I ordered the tomato basil soup and it was unusually chunky and really good. The chcken parmesan was hot and crispy with tender chicken. Had 2 nice size pieces of chicken. Ordered veggies on the side, could have had a bigger serving but prepared well. I liked the $ 15 deal with 3 entrée choices, an appetizer or dessert and soup or salad. Bread came out warm but crust was soft. I prefer the harder crust. Olive oil and seasons came with the bread. Server was attentive, water was always available.

My visit to Carrabba’s started on the wrong-foot…we were seated right away, but after more than ten minutes no one had come to our table to get a drink order. Finally, a lady who appeared to the the general manager came over and asked if anyone had been with us yet. From that point forward the service was fine… although that initial snafu would be hard to overcome. They have some rather strange issues regarding salad dressing choices in that they do not have either French or Ranch dressing. These are the two most popular salad dressings, and it is confusing that they are not available. Further adding to the confusion is that they serve home-made chips with their sandwiches… and nothing goes better with home-made chips than ranch dressing… but there is none to be found. When ordering the Chicken Parmesan the waitress specifically told us that if we wanted a side of spaghetti, that would be «extra» — otherwise it was served by itself. Really? Since when does spaghetti not automatically accompany chicken parmesan? If you can get past these oddities, and the initial service issues, then perhaps Carrabba’s would be a decent place worthy of 4-stars. But I cannot justify more than 3-stars at this time all things considered. On the positive side the food was decent, certainly better than Olive Garden, and the open kitchen was rather unique.
