Thomas E Brooks Park

Overall this is a great facility and of course being a part of the town of Cary parks and recreation, everything is very well maintained. I really want to give this a five star, but I believe the playground could use some updating… seriously, who uses real mulch anymore on toddler playground?

What a great, quiet place for a dog walk!

This is a seriously great park. From two huge soccer fields to two beautiful full length basketball courts and even two batting cages, this park has it all and more. There is also a playground for the kiddies, a very nicely kept community baseball field, and the USA Baseball national training complex (how many parks can boast that?) where you can check out NCAA Division II baseball and hit up the team store for some USA Baseball apparel.
What really stands out about this park, however, is how clean and well-​kept it all is. The basketball courts (which are lighted with a self-​timer at night) and baseball fields are in especially great shape. This is really no surprise, however, as the town of Cary certainly takes great pride in their recreation areas. It seems like the community recognizes that as well since this park was hopping during my first visit. I’ll definitely be back, and would certainly be back more often if this park was magically transported to Durham!
