30 plus min wait for burgers is pretty ridiculous. Also the staff was extremely rude. This is the second time the wait was incredibly long. Mediocre food. Not worth the wait

Waited 30 mins in line with only 7 – 8 people in front of us. When we got to the window to order we were told it’s a 45 min wait to get our food. We left, do don’t know what the food is like!

I’ve been coming to Rustys for years, every time I pass through Cashmere. I never thought that the staff was friendly but the food was good. Today it took me 25 minutes to get my burger and in 55 years of eating hamburgers I have never had one so over done that crunched when you bite it, but to day I did, it was the most over cooked burger I have ever eaten. Gross!

This is quite honestly one of the best burgers you will ever have. I have been coming to this same location for over 20 years.

First of all, it’s a drive through, not a drive in, which means you have to wait in line instead of parking and having your order taken. And what a line! They’re quick to get your money from you, but we waited at the second window for least 20 minutes before our food was ready. The halibut was rubbery and overcooked, the rusty burger was a mess with more lettuce than meat, the chocolate shake had almost no chocolate, and the fries – which were the best part of the meal – were unsalted. On top of that, the service was terrible: they hid the fish underneath the fries, so we needed an extra tray to empty them out onto in order to get to it. When we asked the employee for an extra tray(which we could see a pile of right next to her), she said that they didn’t have any, and continued to do so until they were pointed out. Bad food, bad service, never again.

Just a classically great burger! I’ve been here twice, and have enjoyed each meal. This is what a burger joint is all about!

Have been stoping at Rustys for years on the way to Chelan, it has always been a must stop– but the last few times may be changing my mind. Giving it 3 stars because I know it’s past and how good it used to be! First-the bathroom situation is BS– I can see why they decided to change it to employees only but honestly it’s bad business, sending guests to use a portapotty in 100+ degrees is horrifying, Second-the quality of food has diminished over the years which is sad, corn dogs used to be homemade-I can tell not anymore, forsure store bought and just fried to order, onion rings were way greasy and hard as rocks. Will prob try a time or 2 again but if it continues in the direction its heading may skip and try some other joints along the way!

I mean… It’s an «okay» burger, I don’t get what all the buzz is about! I got a cheese burger delux(lettuce, cause, onion and pickles) and my patty was off center from the top bun, couldn’t fix it without ripping the bun apart. Fries were meh, and I consider myself a connoisseur. If you’ve been on the road for a while and need something quick I could see how this fits the bill but I won’t be making a special trip anytime soon!

Stopped on the way to Chelan… Ordered a Rusty Burger and Onion Rings. Burger was dry but OK. Onion rings nothing special a little and over cooked. The Rusty dipping sauce was tasty. A OK experience but nothing exciting… A little disappointed as I used to come here growing up but will give it another try next time I am craving a drive in burger. Pet friendly picnic area is a plus and friendly service

This is gem on your drive to central Washington. My family has stopped here for years on our way to and from Chelan. I think what makes it so special is that it’s greasy, drive up or picnic, and exactly what you expect. Their fries are really good, if you want to share go Jumbo size. I love their tarter, definitely recommend that with the fries. Their Rusty Burger is a great size and delicious. Milkshakes are always a classic as well. The best part, they’re open all year round(yay!).

5 stars for how they are doing it, 3 star burgers, to make an even 4. I really enjoy dedicated drive thru places and this one does not disappoint, well, the burger wasn’t the best, but hey it wasn’t the worst. A neat place to try when you drive by, so make sure to slow down and drive thru!!!

I do not know what rusty’s is «world famous for» I love chicken strips. Everywhere I go that is the first thing I get. I never have a complaint with chicken strips they are always delicious. Rustys«world famous» chicken nuggets sucked dick. They tasted horrible and looked like frozen Tyson chicken nuggets. I wouldn’t even call them chicken nuggets because they tasted nothing like chicken. I advise to go to the BBQ place down the road. Merry Christmas.

Classic burgers that are made to perfection. They have amazing shakes that are handmade and delicious too. There is usually a wait but they do an awesome job of keeping the line moving and getting your order to you as quick as possible.

When I was a kid, road trips and camping trips with the family meant stopping at greasy little drive-ins and eating burgers, onion rings, and shakes on the way to and back from our location. From then on, every time I get in the car and start heading east, I’m craving a good old fashioned drive-in burger, full of grease and calories and trans fats. Mm mmm! I’ve tried just about every drive-in on Highway 2, but this past summer on the way out to Wenatchee, a friend of mine suggested that the boyfriend and I try Rusty’s. He swore by Rusty’s, and said I wouldn’t be disappointed. So we turned off in Cashmere to see what it was all about. First off, it’s a LONG wait for your food. I was astounded at the amount of people going through the drive-thru just to wait that long for food. At that point, you might as well get your butt out of the car and soak up some sun while you wait. Both the wait and eating would have been more enjoyable if there weren’t so many huge, nasty flies everywhere. I mean, EVERYWHERE. We could not get away from the flies unless we ate in our car. Maybe that’s why people chose to go through the drive-thru, after all. The burgers were alright, and the onion rings were good, but it probably wouldn’t be my first choice, simply based on the fact I don’t want to think about giant horseflies in my food.

I like my classic burgers to have a nice salty exterior and just the right amount of grease to hit the spot and Rusty’s has what I want. Paired with American cheese dripping off the sides and I was in heaven. This will be my go-to spot whenever I’m in the area and in need of a great burger.

Dear Rusty — I enjoyed your burgers — but man, what a wait…35 minutes to get a 4 burgers when –maybe– there were 6 people in front of us in line. I would have never expected that the sign about the 10 – 30 minute wait would have been 30. Plus…when people who arrived after us starting getting their food, I asked what was up with ours… it had been sitting there in a bag because«the drinks weren’t ready»…soooooo hard to pull the soda’s from the fountain. Argh. Not coming back here again

My friends always want to stop here on our way back to Seattle from Chelan… I mean the burgers are tasty, but it’s not really worth making a pit stop every year. I had the Jr. Rusty Burger and that was pretty tasty, I like the toasted buns, but it definitely seemed a little pricy for what it was. I was surprised that the regular Rusty Burger was only $ 0.50 more with the double patty and cheese. The onion rings are OK, just super greasy. I really enjoyed the fries though! They were crispy and very addicting. However, their ketchup packets are TINY! I wish they could pack in more ketchup so we didn’t have to open so many. The Rusty sauce was OK… I think I still prefer regular tartar sauce. I do like the open seating benches in the front of the kiosk and in the back in the shade. Parking is super awkward especially when there are cars driving in the drive-thru lane. They do have a bathroom stall which is pretty clean, and convenient so we don’t have to go across to the gas station. Do prepare to wait a 10 – 30 minutes for your order though!

Great pit stop in Central Washington — they have awesome burgers that are worth the wait and a chocolate milk shake I have trouble resisting everytime through… Convenient, friendly, and pretty fast considering they make everything fresh to order. It is a little more expensive than other places like this around, but I think it is worth it. They also have a nice picnic setting if it isnt too hot and you need a rest after driving

Delicious! I love to try out the local joints and when I saw the crowd gathering here, I knew I needed to try it. I’m so glad I did. although it’s more than I like to pay, it was absolutely delicious. $ 5.50 for a Rusty burger and $ 3.75 for onion rings. The onion rings were crispy and tasty and the burger was packed with flavor… i will definitely go back. Yes, there is a wait since the food is cooked to order, but that is the price of freshness– no heat lamps here! Final verdict? Yum!
