Leslie Drury and I have worked together on numerous transactions. She is prompt and on time for appointments, returns calls and emails fast, and is extremely pleasant to work with. We hired Leslie to sell hour home in Hayward. I should have realized we were in trouble when she tried to insist we sign an addenda related to short selling our home. I said, well we are not short selling so I don’t see why we would sign this agreement? Her response was — «it is just standard. I did not sign it! Then she told us she would share all marketing materials prior to use, and did not and used a picture we did not approve or like. The house was on the Market 2 weeks and we got two offers, one for 50k over asking and one for 30k over. Unfortunately the buyers financing fell through. Leslies response was LOWER THE PRICE LOWER THE PRICE this is taking too long and too much work for my commission.

Leslie earned every bit of these five stars. Leslie helped us with the purchase of a shortsale in Castro Valley, but there is so much more to the story. My wife and I wanted to move from Oakland into a community with better schools. We contacted Leslie when she only had 3 Unilocal reviews: we knew her when… She helped us learn about the Castro Valley market and made the time show us every single place that we wanted to look at. She was patient with us; however, aggressive to learn our likes and dislikes. She would ask us pointed questions when comparing two different homes that we just saw. She suggested some mortgage agents to work with and the funding process was actually fairly smooth. The over-​all process of buying a home is highly frustrating and stressful, Leslie was in our corner every step of the way. Even after we closed. We had trouble with our home warranty because they did not want to honor their end of the contract — which is another Unilocal review — but I will say that Leslie continued to fight for us long after we took posession of our new home and helped negotiate a settlement with the warranty company. What’s more! The house we bought needed some work, and she referred us to a great contractor (her husband, Jamey) who was very easy to work with! I highly recommend Leslie, and I will definately work with her in the future!

Me and my wife were so tired of looking for the right realtor who can suit our needs, as first time home buyer. Until we met Leslie, she was so professional, knowledgeable, patient and no pressure. And yet, she was so aggressive in showing us a lot of options and even gave us advises with honesty & integrity until we can find our desired home. Even after closing the deal, she had always kept in touch with us. We can always recommend her to our closest friends and relatives, because we know she’s trustworthy and knowing she will always take care of them.

We were first time home buyers Leslie was so patient with us. After going through a couple of realtors, Leslie was referred to my husband & I through a friend. We (My wife and I) met Leslie while shopping for houses in the east bay. She was showing a house we were looking at. We were very impressed with her knowledge, demeanor, friendiness we ditched our then current realtor for her.
From the time we established her as our main go to realtor for our house hunt, she was 100% in our corner. She steered us clear of any negative aspects, counsled us on matters we were unaware of and always went above and beyond what we ever thought a realtor would do.

First off I want to start by saying Leslie was not our first Realtor. My Husband and I were on the hunt for our first house. We didn’t put much thought into who we picked as a Realtor we ended up just picking one that was in close proximity to were we were living at the time. (BIG mistake) Plus we’d always see for sale signs blasted all around town with his name on them so we knew he had the experience. After about 7 Months of looking and putting in several offers we were no better off then we were 7 months earlier. Our once excited attitude had turned into disappointment after disappointment.
Finally we had enough and decided to check out the competition and my husband came here to Unilocal and we found Leslie. She was defiantly our saving grace. She was willing to work around our schedule showing us homes as late as 8pm. At this point we knew what we wanted and where we wanted to live so when houses came on the market and we wanted to see them Leslie made the time to get us there the same day.
I believe the moment we started using Leslie as our Realtor it took us roughly about 4 months to find our perfect home, Close escrow and get our keys. The process was anything but simple. I still remember the day we went to view the property for the first time. I told Leslie we were super excited to see this property it was the perfect location. She knew we wanted badly to see this house so she made several phone calls to get in touch with the selling agent. Our luck she received no call back. However that didn’t stop her from having us meet her at the property anyways. we knocked on the door and no answer. So she says well no call, no answer at the door, so were going in. Took us a minute to find the lock box but we did and the moment we turn the key to go in the house the owner is coming down the stairs shocked to say the least. She explained who she was and how shes been trying to get a hold of someone. She ended up talking the guy into letting us look at the property anyhow. (Yes she has a way with words) we ended up loving it put in an offer which involved 2 months of just waiting on the bank to approve or counter our offer on this Short sale property. Leslie offered knowledgeable advice on what we should be asking for in the offer. Asking for what we thought? She informed us it would be wise to ask for closing cost, a home warranty, and split county transfer fees. seemed like a long shot but hey shes been doing this a lot longer then we have so we thought hell with it sounds nice but there’s no way that will fly with the bank, but we thought it left the ball in the banks court to counter so we waited, and waited. Leslie was even showing us other properties as we were waiting to hear something on our offer. 2 months later we get an Approval. WTH! really! SWEEET! I guess she did know what she was talking about after all.
Then came the inspection. Uh oh the roof is leaking. we started to get cold feet about pursuing the home after getting an $ 11,400 estimate to replace the roof. Leslie offered several ideas on how we could play this to our advantage. One ask for the money off the top of the purchase price. Sounds good but I’m still stuck replacing the roof and coming up with that kinda money wasn’t something we wanted to do. So she simply suggest that we ask the bank to make the necessary repairs. Figured it was a long shot but we went ahead with her advice and by golly wow, 3 days later we were getting a new roof paid in full by the bank. Does this women know her stuff or what. After that the transaction simply took and extra 2 weeks and we were that much closer to be homeowners. Or so we thought.
We ended up closing escrow a day early Leslie met us at the home to give us the keys and OMG! The previous owner is still there, with all his furniture. Leslie assured us it was going to be OK shed kick them out. She went inside the home using the key and what do you know, hes coming down the stairs this time in my house! Leslie simple tells him these are the new owners you need to leave and take your things with you. She did most of the talking as we were kinda standing there in shock that our new home didn’t feel like our new home. After about 15 minutes of trying to tell him to leave my husband decided to give him 24 hours to get his things and go. Leslie took it upon herself to get her manager involved and they contacted the sellers agent by email and that put a little fire under his butt because By 8pm the next day we were coming back to change the locks. We met up again with Leslie by our side and what do you know the house is 95% cleared out other then washer and dryer and fridge. Finlay it feels like its ours. Leslie was very supportive through the whole process shes aggressive when she needs to be, is knowledgeable and she knows her stuff. I’m sad we didn’t find her sooner, but at the end of the day I’m just thankful we found her when we did. Do yourself a favor and call her, your search ends here!

In all truth, we didn’t end up finalizing an arrangement on a purchase… but when the time comes we will be using Leslie!
There’s a lot to learn in a home purchase/​short sale and there’s a lot of businesses investing in properties right now. I didn’t realize how little I knew about this process, but Leslie took the time to educate me and really did an excellent job of taking somewhat complicated process and broke it down in simple terms.
On top of this, with the few real estate folk I’ve sat with I’ve felt that for the most part they were concerned with what they could get from me and not what they could do to help me. I get the impression that Leslie genuinely cared that we were happy and treated us like family from start to… uh, pause.
I can’t recommend her more strongly. 4 thumbs up!
