Hostess and bartenders are very polite and know there job well. The presentation of the food, and the price and quality of the meal is less than desirable, compared to other pub/restaurants in and amongst the area of Falmouth. So take it for what it is, a drinking and entertainment venue with lousy food.

Very good. The Courtyard has re-invented itself and we are glad. Very convenient to our house, The Courtyard introduced a new menu this season and it it has something for everyone. Staff is excellent from the Maitre D to our waitress Lauren. Good food. Won’t break bank.

Great location for a low key dinner or cocktails with friends. There is a large outdoor dining area and several small indoor spaces as well.

I’m giving the second star as benefit of the doubt because I’ve only had the pizza here, which is fine if you’re a few drinks in. And I’ve only sat at the bar, twice, once in(spring) and once out(August). Based on those experiences, the bartenders are sour. I have then no cause to be mean, but they seemed like Boston Irish cops or funeral parlor ushers. No personality whatsoever, aside from a vaguely rude, begrudging townie vibe. The pizza is the best you can hope for from a pub in North Falmouth, I guess. But it’s no bargain. There is also no other great alternatives in North Falmouth/Cataumet. But Chapaquoit Grill is a bit better and worth the extra five minutes drive. In ordered a side salad. The best I can say about it is that it was inexpensive. As an Irish guy who lives in the Boston area, I’m used to this sort of place. But I wish it were just better, food and service. The location is just so convenient. And the outdoor area is such an asset but squandered here in plastic tables and mediocre food. And for a pub, the beer selection is sad.

Been going her for years. If you want a good lunch, this is your place. If you want good dinner, maybe not.

Nice seating in shade for lunch. Service by Caitlyn was fantastic. That’s where it ends. Onion rings had a fishy flavor. Balsamic dressing was a slushy sugar paste. French fries were not crispy, more of an oily mushy texture don’t in your mouth. Lastly, some fellow patrons parked their 6 motorcycles on the walkway to our handicapped parking spot. Maybe it was just an off day.

3.7 is what I would like to give this place. here’s the breakdown: food…popover was too dense, steak was cooked medium/well when requested rare but it was seasoned very well! good good overall. GREATPICKLES. they must’ve come from huge cucumbers service…amazing! our server was great, I think her name was Gina. very cute, polite and attentive. she even took a selfie with us, she definitely made our experience!!! the owner Paula however was short with us when we were chatting and I thought it was a bit rude to be honest. atmosphere…loved the diversity of dining areas. bar, dining room, high tops and outdoors! although it was too chilly to eat outside I did see heat lamps which were great. stay strong, go pats

They’ve nailed the tavern look in the bar area. Brick oven pizzas are well prepared(blackened shrimp was a great choice) and they don’t cheap out on the toppings. Same goes for the nachos — some of the best dressed I’ve had. Decent beer selection on tap(about 8 or so) and TVs all around the bar. Strange entertainment this particular night, maybe because it was a Monday in March, but the screens and stereo system were tuned to ‘The Voice’ reality show which hopefully isn’t a regular thing. Service was ok. They do allow group events/gatherings which I’ve previously experienced but their wait staff was less than accommodating.

Tournament Travel Youth Hockey team dinner outing. Made reservations for 25ppl. Everything was perfect. We ordered off the menu. Staff was accommodating and attentive. Food was perfect and came out together. Every family raved about the establishment. A few even went back that night.

This is My Place on the Cape. I come in mostly by myself and eat at bar. They knew my name by the seventh visit. The staff hangs out there when not working. I am omnivorous and often deemed undiscerning, but find the food way better than standard pub fare. The kitchen cares. Great Caesar salads. Scrod piccata is very nicely done. The prime rib nights are worth timing. Local warmth and cape class. Love the place. Good citizens work there. And it shows.

Went in for a girls night out for a light dinner and drinks. The waitress was very helpful with cocktail suggestions. The owner came over to welcome us and recommended the blackened shrimp pizza. It was delicious, thin crust, spicy shrimp and, as we requested, light on the cheese. Yum! Great night, good food and drinks and wonderful service!

Stopped by at 4:15 p. m, not busy with one other large group which had not ordered yet in dining room and was seated by waitress/hostess. She wanted to know if we were there for lunch or dinner. We had two young children and told her we just wanted a pizza. She was pleasant and seated us with a smile and took our drink and pizza order. The drinks came out quickly. After that things went downhill rapidly. After about a minute we decided we also wanted a salad but the waitress/any waitress was nowhere to be found, My wife went looking for her and noticed she was taking orders outside and asked her for a salad. She came back by the table and make some comment under her breath about the salad to me the I did not hear while my wife was walking the children outside. After approx 15 minutes she came back again to say the salad would be right out. Ten minutes later when the waitress showed up in the dining room again we asked for the salad and with a nasty expression said she was waiting on the kitchen. Another couple who had come in and was waiting got up and walked out. Finally the salad came and we asked if there was any salad dressing. With another nasty look she said you didn’t ask for salad dressing? Then she disappeared for good. Waited another fifteen minutes when we grabbed another waitress looking for our pizza. A waitress/supervisor/owner? came by and said she would comp the pizza. I explained we had to leave to catch a ferry and needed to know how long the pizza would take. Another fifteen minutes, took the pizza and ate it in the car. Over one hour we got drinks and a salad and pizza to go in a restaurant that was almost empty when we arrived. When I was paying check, I asked a third waitress what the problem was and she stated the kitchen lost our order slip. I understand things happen, but waitress needs to be re-trained. One star for comped pizza, one star for pizza that was pretty good.

The Courtyard has definitely improved but still needs some fine tuning before the summer season begins. I’ve been three times in the past month and ordered a Black Diamond steak(very tasty but overcooked), scallops(delicious but accompanying mashed potatoes virtually unseasoned) and meatloaf(excellent but served with enough potatoes for three people and no vegetable.) Hopefully the kitchen staff will work a bit harder to make each meal uniformly good. The new décor is attractive and service is slow but friendly.

Looking for lunch that’s not mobbed with tourists? The courtyard has a nice patio with fans, fountain and an outside bar in summer. The food is reasonably priced and you can get your comfort food as well as bar favorites and dinner options. They have a warm fire in the dining room on frosty days.

Sadly the food here isn’t bad, but the service is awful! Our waitress(Kara Jean or Marie something like that) was so bad. She greeted us rudely, never smiled, never cleared our dirty appetizer plates and forgot orders. She really hates her job. At one point she went and sat with a table of guests, obviously her friends. At that point we were waiting for our water to be refilled. The food wasn’t bad, the apps were decent and the pizza and salad are very good. But the waitress made us feel so unimportant that we just can’t justify going back. Having read many reviews it is clear that service has been an ongoing problem here yet management doesn’t address them. Spending my hard earned money where we are treated with such disdain just isn’t going to happen again. We complained about her when we left but my guess is that the complaint never made it to the folks in charge. The hostess didn’t seem to care about our complaint.

I am on the fence how to write this review, for a couple of reasons. (1) I am a HUGE Bruins fan, this bar is owned by former Bruin tough guy, Jay Miller. So, I am thinking a tough review could end up with us dropping the gloves and going toe to toe. In which case I end up in the ER and out of work for weeks. I need a pay check, so how do I do this review? Well, my GF and I popped in here last weekend, and again, one of the attractions for me, it is owned by Jay Miller.(Kind of surprised that is not mentioned in other Unilocal reviews) and when you walk in, I instantly feel like it is a dump, like it may fall down at any point. You just get the feeling it is not a very clean place. The bar area is pretty condensed. They do have a very large TV at the front of the bar. problem is, for those sitting with their backs to the TV it is not in a very optimal viewing area. There are two other TV“S but they are so small you need a NASA telescope to see what is going on. The average age of the clientele is about 60. So, if you get there at roughly 530 – 600 you are going to see a bunch of local, close to retirement, completely trashed locals making a fool of themselves(which may be an attraction for some) to 80’s music(which I love) being blared over the speakers. Guy next to us had a screwdriver, not the drink, an actual screwdriver out on the bar, as if he felt he had to be prepared to defend himself at a drop of a hat.(That was first, really? a screwdriver out on the bar?) I don’t know, maybe the bartenders got confused and handed him a screwdriver when he actually ordered the drink? The service was mediocre at best, which is odd, the bar area is small and there are two bartenders working but service is still slow. The night we were there both bartenders seemed like they would rather be hostages in Iran than working the bar. We did not eat so can not comment on the food, although based on most Unilocal reviews I would probably avoid it. Kudos to Mr. Miller for putting his Jerseys in the back of the bar. basically out of view, many of these types of places, former player owners, pepper their bars with their memorabilia and that is not the case here, at least in the bar area. Below based on five stars… SERVICE ** ½ ATMOSPHERE ** ½ FOOD N/A DECOR ** RESTROOM ** OVERALL ** 1⁄2

The service at here is terribly slow– but since you are likely here on a vacation dinner it suits it just fine. The Courtyard has just recently expanded their outdoor seating around the bar and added in a pizza oven. Went with two other people. Ordered a large pizza for the main course and for appetizers Onion Rings and salad for each. Good serving for three with all of this but note I went with my grandmother who eats like a bird.

This was recommended to try recently, and I did. I should have known better. Why is irrelevant, you’re not after that information. It’s dressed up as your typical Cape Cod-in-summer restaurant. Outdoor seating is the majority. There’s also indoor seating which seemed ideal considering the availability. The service is five stars. The pricing wants you to live in the 5-star restaurant world. When I’m dining somewhere new most likely they’ll have similar choices as other places and that applies here too. Knowing prices of other places, and this being more expensive I couldn’t imagine it’s done any differently to merit the $ 5 or so price difference. I ordered a cup of chowder. Stock was underwhelming but still had a good taste to it. No big loss there. $ 10 got me a steak & cheese sandwich and waffle fries. The portion was average. Some will give you a plate of fries with your meal thrown on there. This plate was dominated by the sandwich with about 10 – 15 waffle fries. A little disappointed but at this point I couldn’t wait to get out of there. There have to be better options on the Cape that capture that«we’re dining on the Cape and it’s a great summer night» feel on a higher level than this. Don’t settle for any place, but if you rate service #1 and don’t mind taking a hit in the wallet, purse or murse then that’s your choice.

Definitely stop by the Courtyard if 1. you lack taste buds 2. you can get a senior discount 3. like your stir dry drenched in «oriental sauce» a.k.a. suck sauce a.k.a sweet and sour sauce 4. you like your steaks well done when asked for it medium rare 5. you like your meat tenderized for you 6. if you prefer the microwaveable kind of spinach artichoke dip 7. if you want your glass of wine taken away before you even get the last sip because you just ordered another one 8. when you asked your server how to pronounce a certain dish, he immediately says bruschetta and Gorgonzola(really?) 9. if you like to waste your money 10. if even after how disgusting the food is, you prefer excellent service The Courtyard has great service, besides taking my wine before I got to finish it. The attention was really nice. The food, gosh its awful. It attracts a lot of the«older» crowd who tastes probably aren’t up to par and kids. But to get here, you drive through a pretty nice neighborhood.

Pretty spacious place and close to Camp Edwards where I was working. Food is pricey but good. I had the shrimps stuffed with red crab and though it was good, the accompanying rice and veggies lacked imagination. Also, it cost $ 20.
