Off the Cuff Comedy Improvisation

I was invited to the red rocks improv festival, which is hosted by these fine human beings. They have a beautiful performance space with ample parking. I was amazed by the level of improv at OTC and was blown away by how friendly and accepting everyone was. This is a very special place.

This company is owned by a couple, whom I just met last night at «The Vagina Monologues». They both are improvise comedians who opened this place in 2004 and perform regularly every weekend and host varies other shows such as the one I saw last night.
The space is small, but utilized well, with one stage in the black box style. The audience seats I’m guessing no more than 50, on black chairs that have the donors name on the back. Very aesthetically pleasing.
«The Vagina Monologues» was in honor of Canyon Creek Woman’s Crisis Center, with all proceeds going towards their cause. Something close to my heart, as I am a woman – I appreciated the style in which it was performed — coming full circle with the theme of the show and the organization it was benefiting. Plus it’s just hilarious to see women talking about their vaginas all night.
Tickets were only $ 5. Seriously would have paid more.
I didn’t stay for the improv show at 10pm, but will be back definitely to check them out. They all seem very nice, and the casting was excellently done!
