Had I known the endodontist(Mr. Radwan) was this nice, patient and extremely comforting, I would have came for my root canal months ago instead of dealing with it. The staff is also awesome! I had had a root canal done before at another dentists office and it was a horrible experience. The next day after my root canal I felt no pain! No soreness! It is amazing how much great work makes a difference. So glad I decided to give Cedar Hill Modern Dentistry a try!

I had my second visit the other day. The first visit was to get my wisdom teeth extracted, which went smoothly. Like the first visit, the staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The receptionist helped me with my financial situation and got the price of my deep cleaning down to an affordable level for my budget. They also accept CareCredit which is very helpful when money is tight. The X-rays were quick and easy, and the dentist did an excellent job with the cleaning. Even with my sensitive gums, there was very little discomfort. The building is clean and neat and well organized, and the bathrooms are clean as well. Overall, it was a good experience, and I’m looking forward to going to them for my regular visits.

I would like to know what kind of degree Maria has. Maria answers the phone in this office and is extremely NOTHELPFUL. I called to make my husband an appointment. He was there last week and needs to have his tooth removed. They placed him on a treatment /payment plan. In the meantime his tooth had become infected and his face swelled extremely bad. Maria refused to make him an appointment and insisted he stick to «his treatment plan.» What does Maria think will happen if this infection that has his face extremely swollen gets into his blood stream or brain. This office will put your life at risk. They do not care about people. I will never recommend this dentist to anyone. They are not concerned for their patients health and wellness. I am a nurse and have never seen such a disregard for someone’s health and well being. The only reason there is a star is I couldn’t post this otherwise. They need to add a negative button.

I’ve been going here for over 2 years and happy with their services. The staff is very nice and very informative about the details of my dental needs. I stay on a 6 month routine visit. I definitely recommend their office to others looking for a Dentist. Deborah

I found this dentist through my insurance as one of the closest dentists that isn’t one of those huge dental groups like Monarch. I had the hope that it would be a normal dentist who just provides the services you need and doesn’t try to sell you the fancier treatments. I was strongly mistaken. The staff was nice, don’t get me wrong. The lady who took my x-rays was very sweet and efficient, especially since they literally took 24 pictures of my mouth, jaw, and teeth. Then I sit in the chair where the dentist comes in and looks at my teeth. She tells me that I should get a particular kind of cleaning because my gums are deteriorating. And to fix the small chip in my tooth she will need to do a filling. I’m all for this as it sounds perfectly logical. After we assess what she needs to do, the dentist leaves the room and sends in the receptionist who proceeds to tell me what the dentist has suggested and starts to have me sign papers. This is when I start to get uncomfortable. The type of cleaning suggested is going to cost over $ 1,000. My insurance isn’t going to cover all of it but magically I will only have to pay $ 258. Ok, I think. I am in need of a deep cleaning so I can see why this may cost money. But then she starts to have me sign papers that say I consent to anesthesia. And she doesn’t let me actually read the papers as she quickly brings up the screen in which I need to sign. I ask her what the papers say and she says«oh, I’m sorry. I didn’t know you wanted to read them.» And now I am starting to get uncomfortable. I start asking questions. She starts speaking doctor speak. I ask her to speak in layman’s terms. She does but she is telling me something completely different than what the dentist said. So I ask her to bring the dentist back in. The dentist comes back in and starts to re-explain all of this. She is apologizing for not explaining everything the first time. I am still confused so I still ask her questions. And then I ask her why I need to pay $ 250 for something that is definitely needed. That’s when she tells me that I don’t NEED the laser cleaning, she just suggests it. She can do a regular cleaning if that’s what I want. But it’s not going to be the best treatment. I ask her why the insurance won’t cover the laser treatment and that’s when she tells me it is a new treatment, so the insurance companies won’t cover it yet. And that is when I get up, and tell her I will not have her touching my teeth at all. I leave the office, and make sure to explain to the receptionist and another dentist why I am leaving. I don’t know what happened to the dental industry but I thought they were doctors who practiced medicine and took an oath to help you the best way possible. Unfortunately it seems somewhere along the way they took a course in selling so they could be like a car salesman and upgrade you to the better model even though you can’t afford it. I am still in search of a real dentist, who cares about your teeth and your pocketbook, who isn’t going to oversell you on treatments you don’t need. I am looking for a dentist who cares about his/her patients and wants to be sure they understand everything before they sign on the dotted line. Cedar Hill Modern Dentistry cares only about how much money they can make with their fancy equipment.
