Reminds be of take out places in the Bronx(only take out, no dining room so you can watch them as they cook or have it delivered) Fast delivery; open late… excellent soups… szechuan steak is excellent. Other dishes are standard america Chinese food.

Pretty good Chinese food, nothing special. They do give you good sized meal portions but are stingy with the sides of rice. I ordered a pint of chicken and when I got there I noticed the bill was more than I thought. They gave me a quart instead and charged me for it saying they don’t do pints. Huh? I had just ordered a pint of another kind of chicken with the same order. I explained I ordered a pint and they insisted they don’t do pints. Why didn’t anyone tell me that on the phone? After a few mins of back and forth the lady begrudgingly said she could try putting it in pint container but seemed annoyed. It just didn’t make sense. As to not cause any further confusion or issues I said I’d take it as is and I ended up paying the extra money. How much of a loss to them would it have been to give it to me and charge me for what I actually ordered? Not the best way to do business. They are quick with delivery though.

I have tried many Chinese food places around Morristown and this is hands down the best one! The pork fried rice is delicious(my gf is Japanese and is picky about rice but she ate every last grain)! I ordered about 45mjn before they closed and they were super busy when I went in(as well as super nice). I definitely recommend this one

This place is close to my office and their prices are reasonable. They do give you good sized portions but I found it to be just okay. Nothing special or remarkable to write about. The food is filling but bland so if you are more interested in quantity and cost than quality and taste this is your kind of place not mine.

Was visiting some friends in the area, and decided to grab some take out since we were are starving. It was around 9ish on a Sunday night, we came in and asked if they were still opened because the parking lot was deserted and they say yeah. So we order some egg rolls, wings, large shrimp fried rice and chickens on a stick. While we placed the order and waited at the counter, we watched the crew make our food. I gotta say, it wasn’t a nice scenery. The girl use her hands to put the egg rolls and wings in the fryer. Not even using the tongs. Very unsanitary! Next she use her hands grab the chicken to put it on the grill. Few minutes later she went to see if the wings was ready, I guess she couldn’t tell bc, now she use the tongs and her hand to see if the wings was done. Then she wasn’t paying attention, the chicken stick was burning, then she try cutting the burnt off the chicken. We just kept looking on. We asked of that was ours, bc if it was, we don’t want it, but there no reply, she was just chatting away with the other girl. So we waited a few minutes. And when they were packing the order for us, thank god, we inspected before we left because the egg rolls wasn’t in the bag considering it be burnt by now, the wings were chopped since we never ask it to be chop. The chicken on the stick, had almost no chicken left because the ignorant try to take the burnt off. And they gave us a small fried rice when we order a large. We literally waited 20 mins for the food. I understand it was almost closing time but we don’t need this attitude. You could have said you were closed and we could have driven somewhere else. So we asked for our money back, and never coming back, but the girl in the front try to argue and saying you paid you paid. We weren’t going to pay for food that is very unsanitary, burnt. It’s just wrong. Who are these people? We were so aggravated that we just left, hungry and mad. Never coming back. Plus she gave us our money back but it was a dollar or two short. Guess she can’t count.

Although I am Taiwanese, I love the good ol’ Americanized Chinese food nonetheless. This place was quite busy even at 1pm. Lots of people coming in to get take out. There were ~5 chairs for eating at the counter facing the parking lot/street, but no one was eating at the small restaurant. It’s definitely a take out place. Lunch specials mostly average around $ 6.50 and includes a choice of soup, spring roll or soda. It’s a pretty good deal for the amount of food. The menu is not very descriptive so I asked the lady at the counter what the difference is between Hunan chicken and Szechuan chicken since both has the chili sign next to it. The Hunan chicken is made with black bean sauce and the Szechuan chicken is just the brown sauce with chili sauce in it. I ended up getting Hunan Chicken $ 6.55 and Chicken with eggplant $ 6.50 for tomorrow’s lunch. Tried a bit of both today and I am leaning towards the Hunan chicken. It was more savory with the black bean taste where as the chicken with eggplant was slightly sweeter(and only had eggplant as veggie sidekick). Hunan chicken came with a variety of veggies: baby corn, onion, bell pepper, broccoli, a few slices of bamboo. The fried rice that came with the lunch special had a few chunks of roasted pork and peas and some bean sprouts. The flavor was light but it complemented the chicken well. I was full after eating the chicken and rice so didn’t really need the spring roll or the soup. This place is within walking distance from my office, so I will probably be coming here more often. The lady was nice enough to swap out one of the soups I had ordered with a spring roll after I paid and then changed my mind. Bonus points for being accommodating!

This Chinese takeout is in a little strip mall on Ridgedale Avenue southbound. I had the roast pork egg foo young combination. I thought it was just mediocre. There were tough bits of pork in the egg foo young and they use the dreaded yellow fried rice. On the plus side, they had a number of cooks working in parallel, so it didn’t take long for them to prepare the food. The ladies at the counter were pretty nice too.

Good, reliable Chinese food — probably the best you can get in the area. Delivery is very quick and the online ordering makes it really simple to get exactly what you want.

I ordered over the GrubHub app on my iphone. Minimum is only $ 10, delivery charge is $ 1, and I put a 15% tip right through the app. I put the order through at 5pm but requested in the delivery special instructions box that my dinner break isn’t until 9pm. I wasn’t sure that they’d look at the special instructions box before preparing. They delivered at 8:57pm and my soup is steaming hot, and yummier than typical chinese delivery. Bravo.

Terrible terrible terrible. from the general chicken to the pu pu platter. worse than bad mall chinese. I can only guess that any good review came from a fake account from an employee because this place serves probably the worst chinese food I have ever had! Save your money

Was looking for a place nearby the office and saw the line building up inside so figured this had to be worthy of a stop-in. I went with the Dragon and Phoenix dish, basically General Tso’s Chicken and Shrimp with some added veggies. Overall the dish was good but I think they went a little heavy on the peas and I would toss the tomatoes as well. Pretty good dish, and there was plenty of it, just lose one scoop of the peas and all of the tomato and I’d love this all the time. The Broccoli was spot on btw. Next time I’ll see if they’ll make some adjustments.

Hate to give them one star but after only being able to take a couple of bites, I had to. Only my opinion. I ordered the general tao dinner combination(Battered deep fried chicken pieces covered in a thick sauce). First turn off was the type of chicken pieces they use. Stringy and unbreakable. Second, the chicken was too salty. Their rice on the other hand was a little undercooked and was the opposite of salty-bland. Lastly, I always gobble up fried egg rolls in an instant, but I couldn’t finish theirs. The wrapper was semi raw and doughy and the inside filling a bit dry. I’ve never stopped eating Chinese food after a couple of bites. They get a decent amount of customers so it could just be me, but sad to say, I will not be returning.

Even though their portions were generous and the delivery arrived quickly, this might be the most bland bowl of wonton soup I’ve ever experienced EVER. Chicken wings were ok but the chicken and broccoli was so full of minced garlic it was hard to enjoy. Honestly, I never thought I’d ever have a problem with Chinese take out, but here I stand corrected.

What can I say really? It’s your typical Chinese take out joint. They have a really convenient way to order online. I tried it and it worked smoothly. My food was ready in a timely fashion, the price was right and the woman behind the counter was friendly. When you’re at work and you are craving Chinese, the only thing you need is good food, cheap and easy. Hunan Wok covered all three bases. I’ll be back.

Yum! My family recently started ordering takeout from Hunan Wok. We’ve found that though the prices are comparable to other Chinese restaurants in the area, the portions are incredibly generous. Usually we order 3 dishes to split amongst 3 of us and we’ll have enough leftovers for 1 of us to eat for lunch the next day. However, with these huge portions, we end up with enough for all of us to enjoy for a second meal. I particularly like the shredded beef with garlic sauce. It comes with lots of vegetables(the crunchy celery and water chestnuts being my favorite) and the sauce is thick and perfect for drizzling over rice. The food isn’t too greasy or salty, but it’s Chinese food, it’s not the healthiest food either.
