I went in for four wisdom teeth extraction and I feel no pain at all even after recovery. No swelling, no pain, no nothing. I was even able to work as well. I highly recommend anyone to go to him.

Dr. Ding was awesome when both my kids had their wisdom teeth out. Neither of them had any issues during or after the procedure. He is very personable and made us feel comfortable with what to expect before and after the procedure. I know other kids who suffered from dry sockets and my kids recovery was very quick with little pain.

Dr. Ding is fantastic. There isn’t one complaint I have in regards to my experience.

Dr. Ding did 2 implants in August. Again, no pain, a little discomfort for a few days. Can’t say enough to show my appreciation for Dr. Ding! Thank you!

I had my bottom wisdom teeth removed last Monday and the entire process at Dr. Ding’s ofiice was smooth, quick and painless (yes, even the extractions). From consultation to insurance and expected amounts due to scheduling and actual extraction, every situation was pleasant and professional. Dr. Ding came very highly recommended by my dentist and my orthodontist (and a local friend who is also a dentsit). During the consultation, Dr. Ding spent a good amount of time with me and was sure to answer all my questions. He is a young guy with a great personality and easy beside manner. His staff made things very easy and had most of the information i needed before I even asked for it. Fast forward to the day of extraction: procedure started prompty at my appointment time and before I knew it, it was completed. I went in fully prepared to be sore for at least 3 – 4 days after the procedure, however, to my amazement, my pain has been greater after semi-​routine dentistry procedures. I felt just about fully recovered by mid-​week. It is clear to me that Dr. Ding is very good at his craft and i would highly recommend him. If you are considering oral surgery in the north Austin area, no reason to look any further — this guy is top notch.

My 18 year old daughter had her wisdom teeth pulled by Dr. Ding and her recovery was fast. Dr. Ding is an excellent surgeon with a friendly and caring bedside manner. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Ding came recommended to me by my dentist. Upon looking at Dr. Ding’s reviews, I am always a little suspect when someone has nothing but 5 star ratings.
Anyway, I read just about all of the reviews and was impressed. So I selected him and today I had 11 teeth extracted and some bone shaping done in preparation for implants in 3 to 4 months.
Most of the reviews are accurate — great manners, good staff, good surgical experience. The problem came after I got home. The pain meds were not working but when I called to ask for something stronger, Dr. Ding basically told me to «gut it out».
Asshole.
He’s a young guy but hasn’t learned in life that one shoe doesn’t fit all sizes. I’m 62 years old and just don’t have time for this…

My teen daughter had her four impacted wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Ding, and the entire process exceeded her (and my) expectations! During the initial consultation, Dr. Ding put my daughter’s fears at ease as he thoroughly explained what would happen before, during, and after. Then, the actual procedure only took about 30 mins and afterward my daughter had no pain, no swelling. It was amazing. Dr. Ding called a few hours after surgery to see how she was doing. He was absolutely wonderful and highly skilled, and the entire staff was excellent, too. Our family dentist recommended Dr. Ding, and my daughter and I highly recommend him, too.

I don’t normally write one review much less a follow up, but I feel like anyone looking for an oral surgeon would be interested in aftercare. I called Dr. Dings office this morning with a concern (turned out to be nothing) Jennifer offered me a time of 8:20 to see dr. Ding between surgeries, I couldn’t be there that quickly, she then offered me 10:15 which was fine. I arrived at 9:45 and was gone by 10:15. Dr. Ding did a quick exam, said everything was fine, I sort of apologized for taking his time when there was no problem. Dr Ding was emphatic about me calling no matter how small of an issue I might think I had. I don’t expect any problems but it is comforting to know if a concern comes up My doctor is serious about me calling him. Again, this review is just information for anyone with an interest or concern about receiving the proper follow up treatment. I must say my expectations were far exceeded.

My Dentist, Blake Dawes at Round Rock Dental Group recommended Austin Oral Maxillofacial Surgery and HOW LUCKY was I to get Dr. Ding!!! He needed to extract my very dear, rotten tooth with heavy antibiotics thru an I.V. at the same time knocking myself out!!! He and his staff are freindly, professional and make you feel like a valued individual. There concern for you is GENUINE, cause NOBODY is that good at faking it. I had the procedure done today. If, you ever need an oral surgeon, he is your man. Hands down, the best Dentist (oral surgeon) I have had the pleasure of meeting. To his wonderful co-​workers, had I not been in so much pain, I would have remembered your names. I ask your forgivness. You are all AMAZING!!!

My dentist referred me to Dr. Ding for 3 extractions. My initial office visit was very pleasant! Dr. Ding is very knowledgable and breaks everything down for you. He even agreed with my dentist’s recommendations to leave the other 3 wisdom teeth in place for the time being! So only one of those puppies is coming out and he said that’s the only one that will cause me any discomfort. My dentist told me he chose Dr. Ding to extract his own daughters wisdom teeth a few months ago and that he scored the highest EVER in the US on the oral surgery test! Wow, no wonder this guy seems like he knows what he’s talking about ;)
My surgery is in a few days so I will finish this review after then to make it complete.
UPDATE: My surgery went GREAT and so did my healing. No issues whatsoever and my follow up went really well. He does AMAING work!!!

Dr. Ding was fantastic. I had to have a very difficult tooth removed. He explained everything to me and explained why it would be better for me to have a sedation instead of a local. He had wonderful bedside manners and made me feel very comfortable with a difficult decision. His assistant Jamie was wonderful as well. Dr. Ding even called me a couple of hours after the surgery to make sure I was fine, most doctors don’t do that personally themselves! I would highly recommend Dr. Ding for any of your oral surgery needs!

Dr. Ding and his staff were fantastic. Not only did they get me in immediately, the day after my dentist recommended I get my wisdom teeth taken out, but they went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable.
Christy, his assistant, made the process easy and smooth and I appreciated her attitude and conversation before the surgery.
I would highly recommend anyone to this fine practice.

Dr Ding was amazing. I am a confirmed dentalphobe, and he did a magnificent job extracting a broken molar. I would recommend him without reservation.

First-​of-​all, I’m your big baby when it comes to a dentist. So, when I was faced with not just one, but two extractions, I wasn’t sure where to go. After reading some reviews on Unilocal about Dr. Michael Ding, I decided he was my man. What a great choice I made. He explained all my options after the teeth were removed, and when it came for the extractions, it was QUICK and PAINLESS. Didn’t even need the pain killer he prescribed. I was eating by later that afternoon. These folks are Professional with a capital «P». Nice, considerate, and professional. I even got a follow-​up call from Dr. Ding himself, checking up on my condition. If you go anywhere else, you’ll be sorry.

Like everyone else said on this page, Dr. Ding is just awesome, professional, attentive and highly efficient! And so is his staff.
I got four wisdom teeth pulled out in half an hour a week ago. For me, there’s no pain or swelling. The recovery is super quick, I can see the holes getting smaller each day.
I would recommend Dr. Ding and the surgery center to all my friends who need a major dental surgery.

Tall, good looking and of course a nice smile for all the ladies out there who want a handsome doctor :) My surgery to get my bottom wisdom teeth out went super smooth, the nurse gives a nice warm blanket since the surgery room is cold, and the recovery time is quick. Plus having Dr. Ding explain everything in such great detail, I didn’t need to ask any additional questions or second guess myself.
If you have to have dental surgery, Dr. Ding is the best one to go to!

Simply, awesome! Dr. Ding is professional, personable and brilliant. By far, this has been my best oral surgery experience ever. I just love it when I find a great dentist! Oh, and another thing, his staff is awesome too: efficient, friendly and helpful.
