Clean and modern with fast wifi — I clocked 20Mbps symmetric up/down. Nonfiction is a bit oddly laid out, but staff are helpful and proactive, and I’m sure they’ll help you find whatever you need.

I stumbled across this treasure while attending a workshop in one of their public meeting rooms. What an amazing place!!! I love the many librarian desks scattered throughout the facility. It makes it more convenient to get assistance than one main desk. With Iowa Open Access, I was lucky enough to be able to check out books from their incredible selection. If I lived in Cedar Rapids, I would spend hours a week in this great facility.

Hooray! The decimal system range is now shown on the ends of the bookshelves. Can’t wait to enjoy the warmer weather on the rooftop terrace come spring, summer and fall.

This is a very impressive library. It’s spacious, ultra-modern, and has an excellent selection of children’s books. It also has plenty of computers, and a surprisingly large selection of movies. My son really liked the computers that are specifically set up for children, and I absolutely loved the documentary section.(I’m not much of a reader.) They also have random things for kids like chairs that look like elephants, magnetic letters, and peg board puzzles. I’m actually here in the library as I write this review. It started as a four star review, with one star deducted for lack of parking, but where I’m standing, I can see out the windows that they have at least two parking lots that I didn’t know about.
