I’m giving you a tapered down and much kinder version of this incident. Today we went into the Bose Outlet store at Woodbury Commons. Time to get a smaller stereo system. I asked the young hipster in the store if anything played CDs. I said having so many CDs I need to also have access to them. He then showed me a very small section that had 2 units. The only ones that could also play a CD or have a connection to plug a player into. I said I see where this is going and having big companies just embrace streaming is not a good thing for artists or the music business. He immediately went into his i’m so cool routine explaining to me that nobody cares about CDs and that streaming was the only way to listen to music. I said«everytime someone embraces the streaming model the artist and songwriters suffer. he said Artists are doing great-if you download you get $ 1 a song-You sell 1 million you get rich. I said“I said please don’t tell me that you have no idea what you are talking about and you are waaaay wrong. I then told him how much an artist makes with streaming. He said that if you get 1 billion streams you will get rich-i said really where are you getting your info from? he then started to talk to me in a very condescending attitude. I turned around and said –It’s ignorant people like you who need to be educated to understand what is going on because you are wrong-I turned around and took my money and walked out of the store. I said-You’re attitude lost a sale-he looked at me and said with a smerk on his face and gave me a sarcastic-«have a nice day”-If this was the last place on earth to buy a piece of audio equipment I would live without it. Yes another young guy with the beard and cool hair who just knows everything. I hardly need to be lectured about the music business from some punk in a stereo store-Where was the manager in all of this

Wowsers! Knowing the quality of the«Bose» name, I so wanted to try to go look into this store. I knew I wouldn’t be able to buy anything at the present time, but the thought was there. I wanted to get a good idea of what the new Bose product lines were like, and so, I tried here. I knew things would be expensive, and a few minutes later, out I walked. I know quality will always trump quantity, but sometimes if companies want money so badly, they can lower their prices just a little bit. The lowest thing I noticed in a quick glance was close to $ 100 and that was just earbuds that were silence-inducing. I thought outlet stores would mean cheaper, but I guess I thought wrong.

We have many Bose radios in the house. They really are very good quality for the size and the volume. I have been to this outlet e number of times, and while I do like it, its not really an outlet. Much of the merchandise seems to be full price here, just like a Bose website item. I was here one day looking for noise cancelling headphones for someone who travels on many long flights. I did find them, but regular prices. Now, the headphones are terrific, no doubt. But as an outlet, I just don’t think this one really is an outlet store. Located on Bluebird court, near(not next to) Nike and Calvin Klein depending on direction, Blue parking is the best lot for this store.
