General — unorganized, bad service and racist toward Asians. More specific — If you’re Asian, keep your cell phone out and ready to record pictures or voice recording. Update — Corporate called and apologized that I was not provided customer service with an emphasis thay the associates could have been«nicer.» To wrap it up as only bad customer service minimizes the trauma of being treated like a suspected shoplifter for doing nothing more than shopping in plain view without ever going toward the exit/doors. But looks like Neiman Marcus stands behind their racist manager and will allow her to train other associates. The details — you can decide if it was really just the manager not«providing service». I usually don’t do the outlet department stores when at Woodbury but I got rained in.(Brand specific stores usually have better selection and service. Department outlets are messy and you have to really search and work to find good products.) While there, the manager Madeleine basically told another sales rep that she thinks I’m pretending to try on clothes and also had people follow me around the store as I went from one section to the other. Mind you, I walked in drenched from the rain and was preparing to buy everything from a new outfit to new shoes to walk out to continue shopping. It was cold so I took the first sweater that looked decent, changed into it and sat in the fitting room waiting area in front of Madeleine for ten to fifteen minutes just collecting myself while my fiancé looked for additional outfits for me to try on. However, after Madeleine’s several snide remarks about me warming up, talking about me or someone else, who knows and following me…(Yes, she literally had other women follow me around the store — always toward the deeper part of the store not toward the exit mind you — wearing the sweater with the security device intact and carrying my small clutch.) We left after my fiancé bought me the sweater feeling like she both judged me and treated me like a shop lifter. It didn’t matter that I didn’t like the passé sweater, I just needed to get out. I quickly went to another store to buy additional clothes so I could return this sweater since it invokes memories of the horrible shopping experience. When we returned, M wasn’t working in customer service but she purposefully came over to remark to me that«Oh, returning the sweater so soon?» with a smirk. I explained that I’m returning it because of her horrible her service and she responds, «sure…» when I asked for a manager, she laughed that she IS the manager and when I complained, she said it was because I wore the sweater 30 minutes. I’m sorry? I was soaked and cold and it takes forever to find something in your crazy racks which are not organized at all?! I escalated it. The general manager said the only thing that could have triggered this is that M thought I was going to shoplift. However, she could not tell me what about my behavior triggered M’s decision to conclude and treat me like a shoplifter… just that shoplifting happens. Other than being soaked, I was wearing a Roberta roller rabbit tunic(no pockets), carrying a LV clutch for a purse and wearing drenched Nikes. Not sure how I’d hide clothes in the thing only big enough to carry my wallet and cell phone. Or how I triggered it by wearing the sweater and SITTING in front of M for 10 – 15 minutes. I spent less than 5 min inside the stall — walked in with one sweater and came out wearing the same sweater. When I went to look for clothes I went away from the exit, and always deeper into the store. So what triggered it? All I can say is that the lady from Corporate said it was an issue of me being provided bad service alone. If M is an exemplary managing employee… Asian girls watch out. She thinks you can’t afford a $ 100 sweater and will magically fit said long sweater in a clutch before running out. Regardless of what you’re wearing(even if you aren’t dressed ghetto), you will be followed as you go from rack to rack looking at styles, obviously, too since it’s the same women and they don’t even bother bringing clothes to put into those racks. Meanwhile, the lady never asks if you want help. Just keeps stealing glances at you. However, management won’t take your word for it. The only thing you can do is keep your phone out and take pictures.(Great shopping experience, huh?) My fashion is more preppy and straight laced as I’m a finance lawyer. I also take care not to act suspiciously, I mean I figured staying in the stall to rest would be weird and walked out to sit on the chair in the waiting area of the fitting room in front of M for a reason… but, all of that consideration on my part was useless. So, if you want to shop. Go to the real brand stores or Saks Off Fifth. If you are stuck, keep your phone nearby and record everything if something feels suspicious! No one should have to suffer this kind of shopping experience!

The store is not overwhelmingly big and made it easier for people like me. I found what I needed/wanted much quicker. Shopping in outlets, specially one that is very popular, I expected that not everything will be as organized as full-priced boutiques. I love Shopping in Neiman in general because they have great selections and exceptional customer assistance. This store, however, goes way above exceptional. Neiman was my first and last stop when I visited Woodbury Commons. On my first stop, my daughter purchased a beautiful pair of Jack Rogers for a fraction of the cost. We were parked close to Neiman and on our way back we visited Neiman again. Forward 1 hour, my husband received a call from Sophia of Neiman informing us that we left some shopping bags in the store. Along with the Neiman bag are other store bags. I called Neiman back and informed them that I am from NC. The customer assistant I spoke to was very polite and did not waste time jotting down my address and informed me that they will ship all the bags to NC… FORFREE! This is why I love Neiman. Their awesome customer assistance is what makes them one of the best in their industry.

One of the largest stores in Woodbury commons but never has anyone to help on the floor and always has a maximum of two people working at the checkout.

I didn’t spend much time in this store. I found a beautiful pair of shoes at a great deal and it was my only purchase here. Everything was unorganized, as the previous reviewers stated. It took a lot of digging to find a gem.

Better shopping conditions than Saks, which is a dump, but the drawback here is the selection is miniscule. Considering the array of designers listed on the Neiman’s website you would be hard pressed to find even a handful here.

Another store at the outlets where the lack of organization will drive you crazy. The crowds also ransack it early so get there early to avoid it or the shelves will be nearly bare. The staff was also comatose and barely breathing. The selection is good though and the prices are reasonable if you don’t mind older trends.

This place is a heaping hot mess! It is extremely unorganized, and very Century 21 as noted by a review made earlier by a fellow Unilocaler. I took the day off and went during the middle of the week. The experience was much like rummaging through a junk yard. I have the patience and the endurance of a power shopper, but the store is such a mess that it completely drains the joy out of shopping. «oh, this looks cute. Damn, there’s a hole under the arm. There’s 20min of my life that I wont get back!» I wont even begin to talk about the shoe section… nowhere to sit and try on your shoes. About 70% are misfiled in the wrong location. Off 5th is a much better experience.

Had the worst experience with the customer service here. I was looking for Alice and Olivia dresses when one saleswoman kept physically pushing me as I was looking for my size. I’m not sure what she was doing, but she didn’t even ask if she could help with finding a size. Then the woman at the dressing room wouldn’t give me my other shopping bags back unless if I cleaned the dressing room for her! I’ve never been so humiliated while shopping, especially at a «department store»(or a store affiliated with one). TERRIBLE customer service. Go to Saks which is a couple of doors down and where people are much friendlier.

I can see how it is worth while to dig around here, but this requires a lot of digging to find what you want. Some of the other stores here are smaller than this one and thus less digging. I guess if you love Neiman retail, then you’ll über-love this store. I was less impressed.

This is a great place, but you have to dig for sure, very a la century 21. I highly recommend(and this applies for the entire Woodbury experience) taking a day off in the middle of the week and then coming here. Just sayin, it’s a lot easier. That being said, it’s a very worthwhile digging around. Good stuff to be found, especially in the shoes!

I used to buy my clothes at Neimans/Bergdorffs for outrageous prices. Zegna suits for $ 2000, jackets for $ 1250. I was addicted to fine men’s clothing. Then I discovered Last Call and Saks Off Fifth and I haven’t been back to Saks or Neimans since. Some of my killer purchases, a Brioni jacket originally $ 3495, on sale for $ 400. Isao Jacket, $ 2995 for $ 350. The list goes on and on. But needless to say, I am saving at least 75 percent over what I used to and no one can tell that I shop at outlet stores. When you get to the store, go to the info center and get the discount book. Its filled with goodies. Other must sees, Tumi Store with prices on closeouts discounted 50 percent or more. Tommy Bahama store, many current styles at less than half. Zegna, Gucci and many others. If you are a shopaholic then when you get to Woodbury you will know that you’ve died and gone to heaven.
