HIGHLY recommend this restaurant for Mexican food. The service is WONDERFUL. I have been one of their first customers when they first opened. Quck with service (unless it’s really busy) and if you catch it on some days, they have live entertainment. It’s usually a guitarist. Last Friday (10/16/2009 7pm), they had a professional classic guitarist who I have never heard music played so beautiful. It made my dinner so perfect. Also, they brought back the Menudo (my favorite Mexican dish). Normally I would pick Mexican food as a last resort but this place, I have to admit, I LOVE going back. If you do decide to go, try their «shrimp salad» or their fajitas then decide if you want to come back or not.

Definatley not the most authentic Mexican food I’ve had, nor is it the best Americanized Mexican food you can find. But when in Modesto, I can deal with it, I suppose.
We’ve been here a few times for lunch, mostly because it’s close to our client’s office. I’ve had a few things from Los Cabos, but I think the best item I’ve had is the taco truck burrito. Loaded with rice and meat… yummy. But I did spend the rest of the afternoon in a carb-coma.
You could definately do worse in this area — but for better Mexican food, just continue down the street to El Rosal.
