New King Buffet

I went with my husband, 2 children and a toddler for dinner it came out to $ 44 the food is okay, no one came around to refill drinks. Good place if you like sushi, the workers look and act like they hate their job.

I found the this restaurant by luck as I live in Modesto. However, I will be back! Very tasty food and well prepared. Lots of variety but not over done. I came at 1:30 and food was hot and plentiful. Excellent crowd for an off day late lunch. I love the BBQ chicken and large whole shrimp on ice.

Best buffet in the area, in my opinion. Their food is always great. Go for dinner time because the best dishes are out. The first dish to go is the coconut shrimp because it’s so good. As well as, their crab legs and fried whole crab. I trust this buffet than any others because every time I’ve gone for lunch the workers come out and sit down to eat from their own food. Their customer service is good, for the most part. They don’t speak much English but they do try and help you the best they can.

Good food and stuff I definitely recommend this place my family and I came to eat lunch and enjoy.

Good chinese buffet, good food & good price. I would recommend this place to people. Staff is nice and fast at getting your plates off the table. I would definitely be back here again.

This is a GOOD Chinese buffet.
Each item has its own flavor, and those flavors are pretty good.
They have all of the Usual Suspects, and they are usually well-​cooked.
I especially like the salmon, and Hot-​and-​Sour soup.
For dessert, they have many fun-​to-​eat treats.

It’s a awesome place to eat the sea food and the chow mein is awesome they’re really good job with their flavors

Best buffet I’ve been to! Food is always fresh and tastes great. The women that works here is rude but all the guys are very nice!

To be fair, I came here because I had a seafood craving and I had eaten here once before. I remember my first experience being a lot better and that’s why I came back. During my last visit, there were boiled dungeness crab legs, raw oysters on the half shell, salt and pepper shrimp, still-​frozen tuna sashimi, and stir-​fried crawfish, etc. among other non-​seafood items like their hibachi grill. The dinner price is $ 11.99 for adults, and Sundays they serve dinner all day. I don’t know the children’s prices.
Anyway, the food here is decent. It’s not the best, but also not the worst either. Buffets are typically quantity over quality. Customer service is okay. There’s someone assigned to each area who will collect your plates and utensils after you leave your seat. They don’t seem to be quick on the drink refills though. I think you have to ask for it or they just assume you don’t want anymore. They have a very strict food-​wasting policy which is understandable.
The women’s restroom is disgusting and for some reason the toilet seat was strapped down with a rusty wire. The toilet cover wouldn’t even lift up all the way, and the paper towel dispenser was jammed.
It’s definitely a hole in the wall, not exactly some place I’d take someone I’m trying to impress, but they have some pretty good items. I had an appetite before I used their restroom.

The food is great! The workers aren’t sociable. They always look upset or angry. Kind of rude, I’d say. It took them probably half an hour to get me a refill and it wasn’t even busy. I was nice. Overall, the food is good. I recommend the spicy garlic shrimp. My personal fave!

ive been going here for about four years at first it was ok then it seemed to be better taken car of fresh wise. about a year ago we noticed the older lady is really really rude she and others seem to laugh stare and watch our every move they have added to my tab for a tip whitch is not right, and they bring out cold or warm red crab legs .
tonight three of us men went for lunch called first was told 340 pm for crab so at 340 we arrived to a fresh pan we ate it up by us three and they told us no more crab today … can u believe this crap? the lady said I ate mutch and held her hands out wide… freakn rude good bye ill never go back…

Food is ok. But their customer service is HORRIBLE. never going back again. The whole time the woman working there was standing over wherever we were. I was not comfortable at all. They were so rude watching us eat the whole time. I couldn’t even continue my meal. I just got out quickly. They also seemed to rush us to the point where I thought they were closing. I even had to ask if they were closing. And not to mention $ 3 for one soda? Rip off. It came to about $ 30 for two ppl. I would have rather Gone to a good restaurant where I didn’t have racist Asians staring at me the whole time. Never again!!!

All in all great experience. Grabbed me some cream cheese rangoons, and they had crab meat in them… Not good for me, since I’m allergic to shellfish. The squid was really good. highly recommended! Quiet atmosphere, great for a date night. The food is to die for,… No pun intended.

I been going here for couple years, food is usually good but lately prices been going up like crazy, I used to pay $ 38 for 4 people & last night I payed $ 56 for 4 people, its crazy!!! & by the way staff seems to have stearing issues. I dont know if ill go back!!!

Pretty good food. The dining room is clean along with the food tables. Nice wide selection of food. I liked everything I tried. The restrooms are clean also.

I loveeee this Chinese Buffet! I live right by here and I come here with my family whenever we feel like we want a big meal. It’s also Inexpensive. For 6 people it was only around $ 70. Including drinks! I say this is a go to. Food is fresh! but it does depend on what time you go! Go around 5 and fresh dinner is served. The owners are very nice. They sort of know us know because we been going here for about 2 years since it opened! But yes definitely this place is a go to!

I actually think the food here isn’t that bad, especially price wise. It’s a good mix of American food with Chinese. The only reason I’m giving this ⁴⁄₅ is because of the staff, they don’t really make you feel welcome, they stare you down while you eat, and it’s damn near impossible to get a refill from them (the machine isn’t accessible to customers).

Really good food here! The best part of this buffet is their sushi! I love the spicy tuna roll and they’re little bite size sushi rolls. Their chow mein is excellent as well. The only thing I don’t really like is that their décor is very outdated and the waiters watch you like a hawk as you eat. There’s a sign on the buffet windows that if you waste food you will be charged an extra $ 5 to your bill. Their green tea icecream is pretty good as well

Stopped on for lunch today. Like any Chinese buffet you need to be wary of the offerings… I was very pleased.
Asparagus, fresh and cooked perfectly, couldn’t get enough! (The only down side, they didn’t snap the ends off)
Anything with broccoli… broccoli was cooked perfectly and tasty.
Definitely recommend if your in the area.
