Yo I grew up here! I love the chicken teriyaki bowl but if you want best of both worlds you can do half chicken and half beef! I always love coming here when I go back to Socal!

This place serves rice bowls and other variety of items. When you see the sign and if you are able to read Korean, then you know this place is still known as Jjang Bong Nara which you will know they still serve hot soups and Korean rice bowls along with a variety of other Korean dishes.

After a quick trip to the mall I wanted to grab a quick bite to eat. Driving home I came across this place and I was not dissapointed. Pretty straight forward teriyaki place with great specials. I got the Chicken & Beef Bowl with 2 Egg Rolls and a soda for $ 8 bucks. That’s pretty damn good. Chicken and beef was tender and cooked to order. Egg Rolls were freshly made and delicious. Overall great little mom and pop teriyaki spot!

Good deal with Chicken bowl, egg roll and drink for $ 5.99. Nice, friendly staff and place was clean with fairly quick service. I wish the menu had the option to add veggies for a little extra but I didn’t ask so maybe it was possible. The miso soup tastes a little different then what I’m use to but can’t really pinpoint what it was… still tasty though. This is listed as a Korean-Japanese place but I’d say it was more Korean than Japanese.

They are so nice. I come her on my lunch break. This is the second time and they’re very sweet. I had the Jja Jang Myun the last time I was here and now I am trying the Mongolian noodle. The Jja JangMyun was super delicious and it lasted me for lunch and for dinner. I hope that the Mongolian Noodle is just as tasty! :)

Good deal $ 4.35 total way cheaper than Flame broiler but literally it’s chopped grilled chicken and rice and no sauce. Remember to pick up ur sauce on the way out. I got sambal and siracha. To pay by card you need to buy $ 6 and over otherwise pay by cash.

hole-in-the-wall teriyaki bowl place. suprisingly tasty food, and for the price, well worth it.

I love the chicken and beef bowls. The seafood noodle soup is really good too. It is very flavorful and is enough for two people to share. This place is delicious.

This place is bomb. Food is delicious. Just beware to ask for 50% spice unless you want to burn cause they can make it hot. Spicy pork my favorite

I’ve tried both fried and steamed dumplings… either one you can’t go wrong! I’ve tried their seafood soup, Mongolian noodles and fried rice… all tasty! Love how they serve koko and kimchi

It was good. It took quite a while for the lunch combo I ordered, but it was filling and yummy. The chicken wasn’t the best though… Faster service would get 4 stars.

This place is great for fast sit-in dining or take out. I would recommend their fried rice and jamppong. The fried rice is made fresh for each order and they fry it within minutes in this huge wok so you really don’t have to wait very long. As for the jamppong, it is jam packed with seafood and veggies. You can also choose your level of spicy ness… But be careful! It can get super spicy! I’d just stick with medium spicy unless you’re adventurous and can handle the spice. I also tried their Jajangmyun and ddukbokkee but wasn’t impressed. The jajangmyun has a sticky consistency(more so than the usual) and is on the salty side. The ddukbokkee wasnt anything special either. I def wouldn’t order it again.

Pretty good Korean food, I can definitely tell that everything on the menu is homemade and is cooked fresh. I usually come to this place for lunch sometimes and usually I’m never disappointed. My favorite things here are the chicken fried rice and chicken Mongolian noodle! It’s really good and the workers are pretty nice they are really friendly! You should definitely give this place a shot but unfortunately I have some doubts about this place, I don’t like how this place has a B ranking and I think this place is quite pricey in my opinion, beef fried rice and my bill was $ 9.80, but they do give big portions so I guess that cancels the price. This place does switch owners quite often too

I’ve been here twice in the past 2 months and I love it. This is a mom & pop shop so you know the food is good. Quality homemade-type Korean food? Yes, please! The owners are extremely warm and welcoming. There are about 10 – 15 tables, self serve sauce«bar»(just a tray with your choice of sriracha, soy sauce, etc) located under the mounted TV that places Korean variety shows. Food-wise…I’ve tried the ma po tofu dish and the manduguk. Both are sooo delicious. The manduguk does not come with an overwhelmingly amount of tteok(rice cakes). It actually has a decent amount of veggies and 4 mandu(dumplings). The mandu is made in house and the taste proves it. The ma po tofu is definitely a Korean-style version compared to the Chinese alternative. Comes with some seafood and tastes great! I would definitely recommend this place for anyone trying to pick up an inexpensive, quick but true-to-the-culture kind of meal!

I was just about getting used to Dwight Howard being in LA. Kobe, D12, Nash, Gasol, and Metta World Peace — sounds like a meeting of the United Nations, fell way short of expectations to reach the NBA Finals. Still, Superman played 76 games, while posting an average of 17 points, 12 rebounds, and 2 blocks, coming off back surgery in his 9th professional season. His performance in my opinion was solid, A-OK in my books and it felt like Howard being in LA was going to be good for a few more years. Suddenly, I hear that he’s back to his old wishy washy ways and is now considering Houston and Dallas as Free Agent destinations. It started off good, now it’s going sour. Reminds me of the same feeling I get about the food at e-Teliyaki or e-Teriyaki, AKA Jjampong Nara. Their food was A-OK to begin with, when the business first started. Chicken & Beef Rice bowls, large portions, around 5 bucks. They soon add Jjampong(spicy seafood soup with noodle) and Jjajang Myun(noodle with black bean sauce) for around $ 6. The menu expands with the following items for under 10 dollars. I’m thinking decent food for the value. @ Steamed or Fried Dumpling(Mandoo) @ Spicy Rice Cake(Dukbokki) @ Teriyaki Plates(Chicken, Beef) @ Spicy Squid with Rice @ Dumpling & Rice Cake Soup(Tuk Mandu Guk) @ Spicy Tofu(Soon Dubu) @ Short Rib Soup(Kalbi Tang) @ Mongolian Noodles(Chicken, Beef, Pork) @ Fried Rice(Kimchee, Chicken, Beef, Pork, Combination) I recently found out the owners changed(again), most likely for the 3rd time and a definite turn for the worse. The Beef Mongolian Noodles I ordered today were dry, all bunched together, while the light brown color and pasty overall look meant they were definitely overcooked. The noodles were stuck together, as if they’re not using enough cooking oil. In the past, the noodles were prepared just right and tasty even when re-heated for the second time. Fresh vegetables present, with better quality meat. Like it just flew right off the wok. The Fried Dumplings were dry and lacking flavor. The soy sauce had no chance in hell to help. More soggy than fried, not juicy whatsoever. Disappointed for my first meal of Vacation Tuesday. Yoshinoya seems better at this point. Even Kobe recovering from a torn achilles and playing for another year or two sounds great. LA also needs a Center that can make up his damn mind and have some loyalty when dealing with one of the most successful organizations ever, the Lakers. Make your decision quickly Dwight Howard, cause it’s getting sour, just like the food here.

I LOVE soup, noodles, and spicy foods. This place has it all. Also, everything is super CHEAP! I always order the chicken teryaki bowl(which is under $ 5) and jjambbong. You can choose the spiciness level for the jjambbong but the regular«spicy» is SUPER spicy as is… trust me… It will have you sweatin’ for sure. e-Teliyaki is a yummy and cheap hole in the wall.

Chicken teriyaki bowl for lunch! I walked in to this small place at the height of lunch hour and it was busy. I ordered the chicken teriyaki bowl. It was very inexpensive and took about 10 minutes from ordering to having it in my hands. I took it to-go back to work. The chicken was flame broiled and very tasty. Good quality meat — no fat or tendons. But the rice, while tasting fine, was a bit on the mushy side. Also they gave a container of sauce that was the size of a thimble; not nearly enough. Partly my fault for not looking in the bag before I left and seeing how tiny it was because I would have definitely asked for a container that was not elf-size. Not bad but not my first choice for teriyaki. They also have beef, veggies, squid, and more.
